Ok. . .I've been going out with this guy(we'll call him "J1") for almost 4 months. . . But I don't like him anymore. . .I like my best friend(who we'll call"J2") I've known "J2" since 4th grade and he's told me he likes me too. . ."J1" is the type of guy who won't break-up with a girl. . . He's too sweet( in fact too sweet for my liking) I dont want to be just another one of those girls who dumps him. . .I'd rather have him break-up with me. . . And to make matters worse there's a Dance at my school this friday. . . HELP ME PLEASE

I know this will be kind of hard.
I went through the exact same thing last year. IF your friend didn't like you.. would you still like your bf? If you wouldn't, then it's actually best for him and you to just end it. He'll get another chance to find a girl better for him.
If you're not happy with the situation, then why are you wasting your time putting the hard work into it?

I recently had sex for the first time. We had penetrative sex but he did not cum inside me as he was not wearing a condom. Is is still possible to get pregnant. Also, when does someone officially lose their virginity? I was expecting bleeding but there wasn't any. There was however, a little pain and discomfort and I also often felt tense as every 5 mins I felt like I needed to pee. Is this normal? Many thanks for your help!

Check the manual.. or I believe you can go to the screen where you change your ringtones and there's some kind of command there. I'm not sure.. I don't own one.

I really like this girl but am to afrain to ask her out or talk to her from fear of rejection. I really like her and want a relationship but i dunno what to do. Any advice?
You guys should first become friends. That makes it so much easier to talk with her if/when you do go out. It's seriously no fun going out with a guy you met yesterday for 2 hrs and didnt really talk to much (at least in high school)...
Then once you become comfortable with her, don't be afraid to ask her out (especially if you guys flirt with each other).

This year im in video announcements for my school and I'm going to be the lead anchor. and I was wondering if anyone had some good tips on how not to screw up and how to make my voice sound better. I hear opening your mouth wide helps. any answer will be considored. Thanks
I did that for 6 years. I was the youngest lead anchor in my elementary school's history (everybody was 4th or 5th grade and i started in 1st).
I'd make sure to speak loudly and clearly. Make sure to INNOUNCIATE (sp?). Be bright and cheery and create a pleasent atmosphere.
Just be happy and confident and don't be afraid of the camera. Pretend your best friend is on the other side. Or your mom.
I would like to know what the difference is between using a tampon and using a pad for girls when they have their periods.
Tampons: Go INSIDE. If you put them in right, you can't feel them, cant see them, cant smell them and can swim and be acive with them.
Pads: You can leave them on as long as you want, and they sometimes feel like diapers.
I personally like tampons better because you can't really tell you're on your period until you change it (every 4-6 hrs, up to 8 hrs).

Well if you think about it, 6th grade "relationships" don't really amount to much in general, no matter how long they last.
In 7th grade is when its a little more serious, but still not too serious.
I think he either still likes you or wants to be friends with you.
I think he's flirting with you, but until you can be 100% sure, I'd be either flirting back or treating him like a friend.

I recently bought some clothes from the Hollister at my mall. I am a 17 year old boy and think the clothes are nice.
When I got home and showed my 13 year old brother the clothes I got (a polo and a sweatshirt) he started screaming at me and said that only posers and gays were Hollister.
I know quite a few people don't like Hollister and quite a few people do.
I am wondering what people think of boys who wear Hollister?

Hi i am 14 years old, male, and i have like medium long hair, its to my neck but its frizzy all the time and like i use shampo and conditioner, but i dont use the shampo every night i use it like every 2 nights. But it still gets frizzy is there a way to make it stop frizzing. like could i get it thinned and then layared then just use hair stuff for frizzy hair? please answer this i need help
You can rub some face lotion into your hands until its almost gone, and apply it to your hair. Then comb it. Do it when its damp and dry.
Also, you can get this stuff called frizz ease. IT works too, but the lotion works almost the same.
You could also blow dry it, but seeing that you are a guy, that could be stretching it a little farther than socially acceptable (lol).
I finished school early today and I went to meet my mum outside the school. As I was getting into the car, I noticed the most popular guy in school walk past and he goes "Thanks for last night! See you tomorrow"
I don't get it. What exactly did he mean by this? My mum said he was trying to make me laugh. I'm..err.. not so popular so I have no clue why he would talk to me. He blew me a kiss once when I was in the car with my mum too. He is a major flirt and does get a lot of girls so I'm not sure if it means anything.
What's going on here? Was this just a joke or did he have some hidden agenda?

Don't make much of it.
He's most likely trying to get you in trouble with your mom, or trying to embarrass you or make you laugh. He probably thinks he's real funny, but that's one of the less creative jokes from the book.

I'm singing Defying Gravity and I'd love some comments/advice on how I did because I'm trying out for a musical soon and whether or not it's that song I need to know what to work on or what my strengths are.
You have a really nice tone to your voice. All you need is to watch your pitch and your actual performance. Make it look like your talking to someone and singing TO someone, like a normal conversation. At least that's how they tought us to do it in theater :)

You can download this really safe program (I've used it for 3 years) called bearshare off of bearshare.com for free. You can type in the name of your song and "karaoke" or "instrumental" with it. Or you could buy the sheet music and ask someone you know that plays piano or guitar (like a music teacher if this is for some performance) to accompany you. Or you could sing it a capella.
ive been playing guitar for a year and piano for about 8 or 7, and ive been trying to write a song, but i just cant.
does anyone have any tips for writing a song with words to it on the piano or guitar? i want like a love song, thats like whats left of me or the scientist, or like that kind of song.

I've been playing piano for 6 or 7 years and I found out how to write a song by lots of trial and error. You really get better with each song.
I would write the lyrics first. You can then get the feel of a mood or a particular sound you want your song to sound like. Then, for piano, I start with writing plain chords to match the accents on the melody of my song. Then I add in the notes in the middle of the song...
then viola.
Its a little more complicated than that, and you may find a different way of doing it.
Just don't give up and don't force it out of yourself!
I take Zyrtec-D. Have been for maybe year and a half. I hate my allergies and still don't feel too good non-allergy-wise on medication. Is Zyrtec-D bad for 16-year-olds?
I tried Zyrtec and it didn't work too well for me (I am an allergy nightmare, btw).
There's this asthma drug called singulair that works really well. Allegra works for me, but it didn't a few years ago.
If all else fails, you can take half of a benadryl and that shouldn't make you too tired, plus it works!
my friends invited me to go camping in NY but im on my period...theres going to be a trailer but im worried of how to "dispose of it." lol
also its only going to be about 2 days so what should i pack?

You should pack 1-2 extra of everything, just in case. You should also pack paper lunch bags to dispose of them in (my moms trick). Its much less messy and easier to dispose of. It also keeps the nasty smell down!
Pack a 24 pack of pads and tampons, if you use them of course.
