do you think its weird for someone to "brush up" on conversation topics before leaving the house, for ex: spending time looking it up on the internet or watching the show that everybody likes.
the idea sounds a little unsettling to me. i want to do it, to get over my shyness, but it feels like brushing up on conversation topics is like going out of your way for others to like you.
no it's not weird! HONESTLY speaking, there are just SOME PEOPLE who are sooo quiet and everytime you ask "what's up" they say "nothing." it's really quite annoying, so it's always good to have questions to ask or movies to talk about!
if you think about it, you always have to go out of your way for people to like you, otherwise no one will like you! so don't worry too much about it. but because you're shy, i strongly suggest when someone says "what's up" say what you did that day even if it's stupid. at least if you say "eh not much just lazed around" then AT LEAST the other person can say, "hahah yeah i like doing that, especially in the wintertime when ..." and they can talk about something. it's really difficult for people to find you interesting if all you say is "nothing." / "i'm fine. how are you?" so i think it's fine that you look up conversation topics :)
Alright so i love big lips. My lips are already full, i just like that swollen look. I have lip plump lip gloss stuff and it kinda works but it never lasts. any home ideas, like things that will make my lips swell? like...mint,pepper,anything. thanks.
definitely use chapstick cause if your lips get chapped they aren't as full. so use burt's bees lip balm and you can also try sucking on your lips to help them stay nice and plump. after you suck and teeth it just put some chapstick on so it doesn't get try and then some lip gloss. because of your big lips, try to stick to pale lip gloss and not really heavy dark lipstick.

because your hair is so thick, it might look weird just a straight cut with no layers :( i'd suggest that you stick with the layers but maybe play up the look a little with side bangs or a combo of longer / shorter layers or even light highlights to add some difference.
you can also ask your hairdresser what she think would look good because she knows your hair better than anyone on this site would :)

it's normal & it's not weird. you're just fantasizing; it doesn't necessarily mean you still have feelings for him (although you might). it's just a phase that many teenagers go through and you shouldn't take it to heart.

if he didn't like me right now, and we weren't dating, would i like him?
trust me don't make the same mistake i made to go out with a guy just to say you have a boyfriend. it hurts him and it doesn't make you feel any better about yourself.
if you realize that you don't like him anymore like that, then by all means break up with him and so both of you can go your separate ways. say that you like him more as a friend. honestly, just be truthful and although you may be distant for a while, stay friends. keep in touch and if you're friends then no worries about your job :)
Hi, I'm 13 and... 5/6s? I'm turning 14 in November, and I'm going into 8th grade. My problem is, I've never liked wearing makeup or nice clothes before 7th grade. But in the middle of 7th grade, my attitude sort of changed drastically about how I care about how I look, and I started to look and feel a lot better. I always look back at pictures and think, "I must have been a really weird kid!" And, I'm not being judgmental about myself, I really was a weird kid. So, I tried it on today, and it made me feel really, well, beautiful, and good. But, I'm starting to get nervous when I go back to school. I'll look and be so different... I don't want my friends to think I'm becoming a prep and dumping them, and I don't know how people will react. I KNOW I shouldn't care, but I'm naturally shy, and I'm just nervous and I don't like change. So, should I wait another year like my BFFs mom is making her do, or should I just man up (wrong word choice) and be brave? I don't know what to do! Please help!

don't wear make-up if you don't feel comfortable or don't need it. you seriously become addicted to it. even simple things like eyeliner and mascara -- some girls can't live without it.
don't become like that. i started wearing make-up i think 6th or 7th grade and although i don't wear a lot, i still hate being seen in public without it. i actually don't leave the house without at least concealer.
