hair cut :]
okay so i have extremely thick and coarse hair.i wear it straight all the time..never curly
its pretty long right now and layered.
but i need a haircut real bad. and im kinda gettin sick of layers so i was wondering if i were to cut my hair like shoulder length but have it be all the same length..no layers..
would that just make it like look thicker and stuff since it would all be the same length?

I had thick hair for my whole life and recently cut it shoulder length, but you deffinatly need some layers. Its the only way to tame thick hair. I personally think layers are cuter think just a straight cut anyway you need some life in your hair. When you go to the hair dresser you can ask them to thin it out too and it will make it feel much better.

because your hair is so thick, it might look weird just a straight cut with no layers :( i'd suggest that you stick with the layers but maybe play up the look a little with side bangs or a combo of longer / shorter layers or even light highlights to add some difference.
you can also ask your hairdresser what she think would look good because she knows your hair better than anyone on this site would :)
