Ok heres the story, im going to try to make it short.... i have younger borhter who has a friend who has an older brother and ive known him for since like forever. We are really good friends and our brothers keep on saying that we should get married so that they can be realted. Anyway my friends keep on saying that he likes me but i can't see it. He's told me that he likes this other girl, but he invites me to go see the stars on a summer night and we go to the movies togehter. He invtied me to go to a hcokey game just me and him and when i asked him why he didn't ask the girl he likes he said he would rather go with me and that she doesn't like hockey, i couldn't go though:( Most recently he got tickets to go see pink floyd (which i love) and he invited me to go. I told that he didn't have to bring me, that he should ask the girl he likes because a relationship could spark up (trying to be encouraging for him) but he told me there was no relationship going to be built, so he doesn't want to take her, he wants to take me. I am so confused i always thought of him as a friend but this happeneing and my friends telling me he likes me has gotten me confuzed. What do you think is going on? please help, thanks

i know its hard to see that ur best friend is changing, but people change. She may not even realize that shes hurting you. My best friend and I got into a fight a while back and we are good now and all but I'm still feelin a lil bit weird about it. Is there any way to tell by a hug if a guy likes you in a romantic way? I've had many different types of hugs, but most hugs are from family and friends, that's the type of hug where it's friendly, but does not in any way feel sexual.
I'm asking because a guy that I'm just friends with, after giving me my birthday gift, hugged me, but when he hugged me he held on for a couple seconds longer than most hugs last, and then he started to to stroke my back really slowly with his hand. There was no one else around, and normally he's shy around me with other people.
Do you think this was his way of letting me know he likes me as more than a friend?
My guess is he does think of you in a romantic way.You should (if you like him) start to talk to him more and what not and see what he actually does feel beacuse if he likes you he'll probly tell you when he feels comfortable.Hope everything works out for the best.
