I could be wrong and I'm sorry if I am, but it sort of seems like you're AGAINST his daughter being his main priority? If that's the case, leave the relationship now. You will never be able to come between a father and his daughter, and you're a terrible person if you try to.

Moving on, he says he wants to be with you, why do you question it? Has he given any reason for you not too? If no, stop. Be happy, let yourself be happy with the relationship.
You don't know what he's thinking, well of course not! No one can read minds. If you want him to open up to you more and share what's on his mind, ask him. It's simple. Tell him you'd like to know more about his worries, what makes him happy.
It's safe to assume you both have been in a number of relationships, and therefore know what's needed to keep a relationship strong.
As I said before, I'm a bit confused with what the problem is here. So far he seems like a wonderful man. He loves his daughter more than anything and he seems to love (If you haven't said the L word yet, than like) you too.

So verizon has made it a ting where in order to have a smartphone/ blackberry/iphone you have to have a data plan and pay 30$ per phone on the plan to have data. i have 4 phones on our plan and that is way too much money for my mom who is on a teacher salary. I REALLYYYYY want an iphone, or a phone that is supported with droid software but i can not get the data plan. is there anyway i can get around this? like can i buy a phone on ebay and switch my service to that phone by calling the *228 thingy? or will that not work? or ANY WAY? i am desparate! and if i cant do that like there is no way possible to do that can you tell me some really nice phones i can get that are touch screen/ touch screen with a slide or flip qwerty key board? anything that has a touch screen and is a GOOD phone? or if i can get a t-mobile, sprint, at&t etc. phone that i can switch to use with the *228 thing? Two years ago I was desperate for a Blackberry. I was so mad when I found out I couldn't get one without a data plan, aha.
No, there is absolutely no way around the data plan issue. I'm sorry. I know exactly how it feels.
Instead of getting a Blackberry when I was due for an upgrade, I got the Samsung Reality. I absolutely LOVE it.
I've gone through a ton of verizon phones from when I got my first phone at 13. STAY AWAY from LG phones. I've had three different the Env 2s and two EnV Touches. LG seems to have way too many problems with their phones.
I've had this phone for over a year now with no problems. Normally I'd be on my third phone by now.

Last night i had this awfully vivid dream. It started by me looking out the window and my car light was on. Went to grab my keys and looked out the window again and there was a dead body on top of my car. Every time i looked out the window there were more and more mangled dismembered bodies. It is Wednesay night and I have been going poop constantly since friday night. sometimes the runs, sometimes a loose stool, and sometimes normal but i just can't stop. even if it is just a normal poop, i still get that diahrrea urge in my lower stomach and while i'm pooping, my butt hurts really bad gets sore as if i am going diahrea. i have just gotten over gastritis (infalmation of the stomach lining) and still might have it but it is being treated. could that be the cause? my poop has a bad odor and regardless what type of stool it is, when i wipe, it's mucusy and is always the same color- copper/yellow.

I've never had Gastritis or know anybody that has had it, but it sounds like an could be an effect from getting cured.
But at the same time, this is not healthy. It's not normal and while I'm not a doctor, I can't help but feel this could be a serious issue and you need to go to a doctor ASAP.
Drink plenty of fluids, because this much defecating could cause dehydration.
But seriously, please go to the doctor ASAP. If your mom wont take you, ask another family member.

I'm male/16. I've missed about 5 days of school already. I feel horrible & weak. The back of my head & neck are killing me. I can feel and hear mucus in my chest, but when I cough it just doesn't come up. The mucus in my nose comes out fine. When It feels like I can hack up a bit, its a tiny amount and bringing it up feels like I'm puking my throat out. I already threw up once. I went to the Doctor and he said its probably bronchitis. I had bronchitis two years ago, it was terrible. You're definitely experiencing what I did, and my doctor gave me robutssin as well. The other pill is probably a nausea pill. It works pretty slow, but it does work. It took me about a week and a half of taking it to feel decent enough to actually get up and do things.
It sucks, but if you wait it out, you'll get better.
If two weeks pass without any progress, you should definitely go back to the doctor.

I know this will be silly but I'm curious. I had a dream that my g- grandma gave me this ring that was like superpowerful. There was like chaos and mutant animals of darkness on the streets and stuff (lol)! So I used the ring but in doing so I also sacrificed myself just like my great grandmother did. I was thirteen, just a month away from my fourteenth birthday when I got my first cell phone.
My parents believed that since I was going into high school and going out with friends a lot more that I should have one. I find that completely reasonable. Of course when my eighth grade year started and I want a cell phone early on, I found it unfair and ridiculous.
Assuming that you are in eighth grade, I don't think you need one for the time being.
Once the summer hits and high school starts though, I think you should be allowed to have one. I'd also urge your parents on getting unlimited texting if they already dont have it.
Seriously though, you'd get bored with it after six months. My texts went from 500,000 a month down to barely 500 since then.

I went to Tools->Internet Options->Browsing History->Delete->Delete Passwords, and it is still remembering my passwords.
Then I went to: tools>internet options> content tab> Autocomplete: settings >
uncheck passwords
Then I deleted cookies but my computer is still remembering passwords.

Younger boys usually act like they're back in kindergarden when they like a girl. Hair pulling, teasing, light shoves, possible nicknames only they call you, hiding your things, etc.
Personally, I see two possibilities here.
Since he does these things with both you and your friend, he might like you both. This is a crappy situation because for decades boys have been the reason a lot friendships have ended.
Or since you say he knows that you like him and he hasn't done anything to make a move since learning that, he doesn't like you. If he liked you and was too shy to make a move, surely he would have made one once he discovered you liked him. He wouldn't have to worry about being turned down.
Really, the only way you will TRUELY know is if you ask him yourself. It's pretty nerve wracking and I always hated when people said that to me. But it's really the only way you'll ever know the truth.

I currently have two tattoos that I got when I was fifteen and sixteen. I don't regret them, and I still love them as much as I did the day I got them.
Personally, I would get the tattoo. At eightteen, you are an adult. You no longer need parental consent to do things.
In my house, once I turn eightteen my parents don't care what I do with my body or what holes I put in it, even if Im still living under their roof.
If I were you, I'd get it done. Some people will never understand the art that is tattooing.
Also remember, tattoos ARE NOT PERMANENT. To get them removed it's A LOT of money and the pain is incredible. But they can be removed if somewhere down the road you decide you no longer want it anymore.

I got my rook pierced two months ago and the other night it started to bleed really bad. I was told by the guy who pierced my rook that if it's infected or starts to bleed, not to take it out because that could cause more irritation or could make the infection worse. Well, I didn't listen. The bleeding was just too much for me and I wanted to make sure it wasn't badly infected. When I took it out, it bled for a few hours and now I can't get it back in.
If I put my earring back in through the top hole, it goes in just fine. But I can't screw back on the ball because I would have to do that from the bottom and with where the rook is, it's an awkward position. But when I try to put the earring back in through the bottom hole I can't find the hole. I think I might have found it a few times but it hurts really bad. For those of you who know how the piercing looks and where the holes are placed you'll understand this.
FINALLY...here's my question. Is there a way to get my earring back in without having to go back to the piercing parlor? And are there any comfortable ways to get my earring back in and screw the ball back on if I have to put the earring through the top and screw the ball on at the bottom?

I'll start out by saying I've personally never had a rook piercing. But I do have my upper and middle cartilage of my ear pierced and I got the first one in 2009. (Upper pierced 3 different times because it closed up. Blah)
It honestly sounds like the bottom hole closed up, or is very close to closing up.
Cartilage piercings close up extremely quickly. Even a few hours without the earring and it could close up.
Two months is way too early to take the earring out. Especially leaving it out for hours at a time.
You didn't mention how long you had it out for, but if it was out for two days or more, that's most likely what happened.
My middle cartilage bleeds every once in awhile. I'm not sure why this happens. But I take it out as well for a day to let it heel a bit. BUT I poke an earring through the hole every hour to keep it from closing up. This is what you should have done, and you should do this in the future. Also clean it up with the cleaning stuff that you SHOULD have been gaven once you got your rook pierced.
You can either go back to the guy who pierced you and get it again.
Or, you can suck up the pain and push the earring though the rook holes.
Whenever I've came close to having my cartilages closing up, that's what I do. Then you should clean the holes daily to aviod infections.
You can always ask a parent or a friend to do this for you. Since they would be able to aim better than you can when putting the piercing back in.
PS: If you want to try and lessen any pain, try numbing up that part of your ear by holding an ice cube to it for a few minutes. Then put the earring back in.

Sooooooooo.....I'm a 16 year old girl and have a stupid situation at school. I don't know why I'm letting this stuff get to me, but it really is. I guess I really am just that sensitive.
I was the new kid at school again after moving last year to where I am now sophomore year. I found my small group of friends almost right off the bat which I wasn't expecting. I have three friends, let's call them "Carmen" "Shannon" and "Maria," and there's a friend of my friends', let's call her "Jerkfacegoodfornothingbitch." I don't know why, but my three friends actually like this girl and call her their "friend" even though they know about some of the things she's done to me.
Ok, well the first day of school last year was good except for my immediate awareness of my friends' friend's hatred for me. I greeted her warmly when I was first meeting everybody and introducing myself and she completely ignored me acting as if I wasn't there. I was looking directly at her and was SPEAKING to her and she wasn't listening. I left that at that thinking maybe she was harder to win over than the rest or just having a bad day. Even so, when I sat with all of them at lunch she still acted as if I didn't exist and I've never even met this girl neither had she met me!
Over the course of that year (summing this up here) she's been a real jerk to me, like it's almost obsessive the way she hates me. For one example, I was in the bathroom one day and was finishing up washing my hands. She was standing right in front of the paper towels talking to someone, so I politely asked her to move. She turned around, saw it was me, frowned and gave me a dirty look and told me to never speak to her for anything. Then, she smacked me into the wall and left the bathroom. I was like, "WHAT THE HELL?"
Another example, I was outside walking down the street with my little brother (yes, she lives 4 houses down from me). This girl (jerkfacegoodfornothingbitch) was outside in her front yard playing volley ball with 2 other girls and 3 boys. Me and my lil' bro were minding our own business, and all of a sudden my lil' bro's like, "Watch out!" and before I know it something solid smacks me in the back of the head, hard. Of course I look around to see who did it and what that thing was and I see her glaring at me and her friends laughing.
Final example, I'm in the bathroom again, this time in a stall, and I hear a fight between two girls breaking out. They're calling each other, "bitches" and "slutty hoes" and I could hear bumping like they were beginning to rough each other up. I recognized that girl's voice in there and was thinking about waiting in the stall until the fight blew over or someone came to break them up. Unfortunately, I really needed to get to class. It's a long way to walk and I'd already been late twice before and I didn't want a third because that would be detention and a call home. So, my plan was to quickly leave the stall and rush out before anything too bad happened to them or me.
My plan failed miserably. I tried opening the door, but it wouldn't open all the way because it hit one of the girls in her back blocking me from getting out. I panicked. The girl standing there moved and I opened the door. Everyone stared at me and then jerkfacegoodfornothingbitch began yelling at me about how I keep on popping up into her space where I'm not wanted. I say, "ok" and try to leave, but this girl has her friends block me off. She kept yelling at me about who knows what else because by then I wasn't truly listening. She kept shoving her chest into mine and slapping her hands together in my face telling me to hit her if I had the guts. I couldn't speak because her voice was so loud and overpowering that anything I said got drowned out.
I wouldn't hit her so she pushed me out of the bathroom calling me a "scared-ass pussy-bitch." I went in late to class that day and got the penalty of detention.
This year, she no longer sits with me and my three friends at lunch. She still shoves me into the wall when she gets the chance or pushes me down on the bus, but she doesn't talk to me at all. Sometimes I catch her glaring at me in school or while I'm walking outside by my house. Her attitude is really starting to piss me off. I have no clue why she hates me so much when I've done nothing to her! I'd been nothing but nice to her in the beginning, but this year I'm getting fed up. She's making it impossible for me to truly be happy at school.
I don't want to tell the principle or the deans because if she gets into trouble, then her friends, including her, will hate me even more. They might do more to me than they've already done and I really don't want that to happen. Why does she hate me so much when she doesn't even know me? How do I get her to stop hating me?
P.S: I found out last week that this girl has now also been bugging my little sister at school. She's a freshman this year. This girl also goes to my church and sings in the choir along with my dad. He came home one day to tell me that he'd been paired up to help prepare this girl with some things and she glared at him and asked for a new partner. So, apparently this girl hates me and my family for reasons I don't understand. Oh, and this girl (jerkfacegoodfornothingbitch) is a sophomore this year. I'm a junior! I'm older and SHE'S being mean to ME? I just don't understand.

Wow. Situations like this just remind me why I hate everybody. Lullz.
Anyway, people will tell you, "This girl clearly has something wrong in her life blah blah blah she has a bad home life blah blah blah you might have did XYZ without knowing and therefore this is how she is reacting blah blah blah."
The truth? The truth is, people don't need a reason to be mean to you. People will be absolutely bitches to you just because they can be.
But, I've came up with a few possible reasons should could be acting like this towards you, and I'm going to be brutally honest.
1) Your race. Are you a different race than her? What about religion? If you are a different race/religion than you, this could be why she bullies you. While I find this absolutely ridiculous, it happens.
2) She feels threatned. Be real with yourself. Are you more attractive than her? Better body? Better hair/clothes/height/breasts/legs/etc? If you've answered yes to any of these, she might be trying to make herself feel better by bullying you.
3) She feels like her friends have ditched her for you. Now while I was reading your little stories, this was my first thought. She might be thinking, "This new girl has come and taken over my friends." She may feel left out. She might be jealous because they like you more than her. (This is what I got from your story)
These are very possible reasons. I would usually tell people to talk it out, but it's very clear that she won't do that. Being a teenage girl who would be a senior this year if I were stil in school, I understand how highschool girls act. And I'm not going to tell you to tell and adult or talk it out, because that WILL end badly.
Personally, what I would do in this situation is fight back. Not physically, no. But verbally. Don't just say, "Okay." when she talks to you like that. Tell her she's pathetic.
If god forbid she takes a swing at you, DO NOT stand there and let yourself get beat up. Punch back. Stand up for yourself.
Highschool can either be really amazing, or the worst time of your life. People can be great, or extremely childish. There's really no way around it.

Aside from that, you said you are black and white, while she is just black. She could have a very strong hatred towards white people, and therefore that's where her hatred for you comes from even though you're half black. I've noticed people who hate others because of race, it doesn't matter.
It's really sad that girls these days don't know how to act and be classy. Glares and side remarks are extremely childish. And I'm really sorry you have to go through this kind of thing because you seem like a really nice person.
You said that you're slimmer than her, with "natural long, curly ringlets". You sound freakin adorable, and I mean that in the least creepiest way possible. Lullz. With the way society is today, she may be insecure about the way she looks. And she sees you, the new girl, getting more attention than her. That could be making her angry, even to the point of harrassing you.

I met this guy at work I liked. We met a couple of times and he read my name off my name tag. Everyday i saw him looking at me. One day he actually bumped into someone when he turned around to look at me. But nothin more was happening so i decided I needed to make a move in order for something to happen but i was to shy to approach him directly so i wrote a note and my co-worker gave it to him for me. On the note i said i like him and wondered if he was interested in going out sometime and I wrote my name and number. My co-worker said she gave it to him and he read but he looked confused when she said who it was from. So I feel kinda silly now. He probably wont call cuz hes not sure who its from. What do I do next? Was I wrong for doing this? What will he think of me now? (link)

I understand being shy about making a move, but guys like confidence.
Most of the time a guy will find a note silly and childish, especially if it was given to him by a friend and not you personally.
I suggest the next time you see him that you go up to him, say "Hey, did you get my note?" and go from there.
