Did I make a mistake asking him out?

Question Posted Saturday September 10 2011, 12:30 pm

I met this guy at work I liked. We met a couple of times and he read my name off my name tag. Everyday i saw him looking at me. One day he actually bumped into someone when he turned around to look at me. But nothin more was happening so i decided I needed to make a move in order for something to happen but i was to shy to approach him directly so i wrote a note and my co-worker gave it to him for me. On the note i said i like him and wondered if he was interested in going out sometime and I wrote my name and number. My co-worker said she gave it to him and he read but he looked confused when she said who it was from. So I feel kinda silly now. He probably wont call cuz hes not sure who its from. What do I do next? Was I wrong for doing this? What will he think of me now?

first of all congratulations for being able to do that. being the first one to make a move is very sexy in most guys eyes. it shows that you go for what you want & they like that. it was not wrong at all.

his confused look was probably just astonishment that you actually had the balls to tell him how you feel. most girls dont. try striking up a conversation with him. dont bring up the note. try and figure out what he would like to talk about, does he play sports? do you have friends in common outside of work? music? anything. let him know that your capable of talking outside of a pen and paper and your really interested in him. if you guys strike up a good conversation, before you or he leaves work for the day try saying something like "if you ever want to hang out just text me, since now you have my number" in a flirty way of course. just to reassure that the note was indeed from you.

I understand being shy about making a move, but guys like confidence.
Most of the time a guy will find a note silly and childish, especially if it was given to him by a friend and not you personally.

I suggest the next time you see him that you go up to him, say "Hey, did you get my note?" and go from there.

I wish you luck!
