I have the worst periods! It's terribly heavy. I even use the heaviest products but still end up having to change out every 10 minutes. And my periods last soo long. It's very frustrating because it interferes with so much. Anyways, after talking to my mom about it she made me an appointment tomorrow to see the female doctor at my family dr's office. We're gonna go talk to her about some different types of birth control to hopefully help. Note: I'm only getting bc pills for strictly period purposes only. Not for pregnancy prevention, I'm a virgin.
~~ But I was wondering - is the appointment just full of questions? Or is their an actual exam of your body? I just wanted to know, so I could kind of be prepared. I know if you go to an actual gyno then there's most likely a full exam. But I'm just going to my family doctor to hopefully get a bc perscription or something like that. So I just wanted to know. Maybe if any of you girls have been to your family dr for this, what the appt was like?

There definitely should be no physical exam during the appointment. The doctor will most likely just ask you about your periods, and you'll just tell her that they're too heavy and last too long. If she wants you to get a physical exam done, that will probably be a separate appointment with a gynecologist.

Maybe the answer to your post is at the end of your post. You said that you're 'like part of the family.' I know my brothers and cousins tease me alll the time. There is a chance that he is being mean to you in a joking way because he likes you. Or he could just be comfortable enough to joke with you because you're so close to his family.

This article is about how i feel on my mom and her textmate, almost in a relatioship. I am from the philippines, and i am 14 years old. August 21. 2006, my dad died because of Asthma. It was the most terrible thing in my life. I amost cannot sleep because of loosing the best person in my and my family's life. It was a very tragic moment.
And now, all i want to say, is that my mom has this textmate, and she is really, really secretive about it. They really just started out as friends, but now i can hear them saying stuff like "i love you" and that guy is saying like "thiking of you, not just today, but always." It really hurts my feelings, and it hurts so much because i know that my dad is the best dad there ever is to me. He never did anything mean or offensive to me. He doesn't freak out when i fail in my math grades. And now, my mom is just going to replace him with some law manager with my dad? Do you realize just how much that hurts? Especially when my da has done everything special and everything that he always dreamed of wanting - not only for himself, but for the entire family. He never got mad at me, and he is always in my side when it comes to disputes between me and my mom. But that doesn't matter, beause it really hurts when you lost a very great person in your life, and no you mke it worse by ot even metioning hi name anyore, or worse, even replacing hi which you know can be my father physically, but not my father, angel & best friend at the same time.
I have inherited a thousand stuff from my real father - my attitude, and my appearance. I look nothing like my mom except for my teeth, skin tone and my hair length. My mom considers all of these traits and apperances i have inherited from my fathr as negative ad non-important things. I am not forcing her that she should praise it, but at least just give importance to it, because it is my dad's trait, and it is the only thing that gives a last reminder on the greatet person in my family's lives. But when it comes to her text mate's characteristics, it is her 24-7 topic. "he is 5'11 feet tall! he's from london! he has green eyes! he has brown hair! he's a lawyer! he works in birmingham!" that is what my mom will never stop saying, which is rather annoying because she never gives importance to my real dad anymore.
If only you were in my house, it will really drive you nuts. For example, i wake up in the morning. I get out of my room and go visit my mom. When i visit my mom in her room, i just see he lying down, texting with her celphone. She didn't notice me. She looked at me, went to her computer and opened her email account (the one she uses for her chatmate only) and read this email with red and black text. She ignored me. I can't help it, so i said "mom-" "ok, just a second ok?" she said before i can finish what i was going to te her, in a sort of a "none of your business" tone. So i ran out of her room, and i slammed the door. Ever since her textmate came into her life i was like a piece of dirt on the floor.
I am a 14 year old with a lonely heart, just because the only parent left to take care of me is now focusing her priority to a ritish freak instead of her own daughter. So please, i need your help.
First of all, I'm very sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what that would be like and it is completely reasonable for you to be hurt by this.
Your mother lost her husband, the same way you lost your father. It is likely very difficult for her to deal with. By getting this text buddy, she is probably reaching out and feeling lonely. Since it is a long distance relationship and they only text, she may be using this guy as a stepladder to recovery from the loss of a great loved one. As far as her not giving positive attention to the things you have inherited from your father, it is probably painful for her to look at you and see her late husband.
I think you should try to sit your mother down and really talk to her about this text buddy. Make sure she's paying attention. Tell her how you feel. Tell her that you're lonely and that you feel like she's trying to replace your father. I am certain she will be able to explain to you that those are not her intentions. She will be able to tell you how she feels and why she is doing what she's doing.

My boyfriend believes he is in love with me. He thinks I have changed his life and he would never be the same without me. He has a history of depression. Before we break up (probably in a few months) I would like to show him we can both benefit from having been in a relationship and that when it ends, it doesn't have to be devastating. Well, regardless, try to point out the things you have learned and how the relationship has benefited you both. Let him know that you can still be friends and talk as often as possible. Until then, start trying to distance yourself little by little so that the breakup sort of fades in instead of coming up suddenly. If he is sure of the break up ahead of time, your only task will be showing to him what good things have happened and that relationships in the future can work the same way for both of you.

I think you should bring your ex boyfriend. It's not fair for the other boy to get your attention stolen from him by someone that you're not with. Let him find someone who will think of only him on prom night. As long as your ex is still up to it, take him. Don't get your hopes too high that he will want to date again though. You don't want to be too disappointed. Just go as friends and try your best to give him a little bit of space and time to think about things.

I have three beauty marks on my face, like an inch under my eye. They REALLY bother me..ugh. I'm really self conscious about them and they just mess up the symmetry of my face. But the thing is, they're not just regular beauty marks. They're more like moles but very small because I can actually feel them, they pop out sort of. So could I use that Freeze-Off stuff at the pharmacy to get rid of them? Or do I need to get them laser removed by a dermatologist? Help!!

It might start up heavier today or tomorrow. Sometimes my period slows down or stops for half a day to a day, then starts back up heavy again for a few days.

I am a female college student, and I've been keeping my hair long because I am majoring in theatre, and I assume it's the best thing for acting in plays. However, I've always loved having my hair short. It's the most flattering way I could wear my hair, and I love that it's easier to fix. Plus my hair is really frizzy, so when it's long it's really tough to manage. It isn't as if I want to be a professional actor, but I might want to go to grad school in the future for a master's degree. I'm a junior right now. As superficial as it sounds, I feel like cute short haircuts are like a signature for me and I feel like a part of my personality is missing. On the other hand, I like the versatility that long hair gives me as far as acting goes. Should I cut my hair?
It sounds like you really rather prefer short hair on yourself. Longer hair may be more versatile, but if you think that short hair flatters you most, get it cut. You can always just grow it back.

While it is flattering when someone likes your stuff enough to copy it, it can also be very irritating. You should try to talk to your friend the next time she crushes on a guy you like or does something similar to that. Don't be immature or irrational about it. Just passively mention it so that she won't feel as though she's being attacked. If she feels like you're accusing her of something, she will quickly get defensive and it could lead into a big fight. Try to make it as casual as possible. Maybe tell her about someone you know has a crush on her, or tell her what a cute couple her and (insert name here) would make.

Bleaching it probably won't completely eliminate it's visibility. Try getting it waxed, as that lasts longer than plucking.

Find out what types of things he's into. What he likes to do and whatnot. Then talk to him about these things. Hopefully this will create a good conversation. Ask questions about music, movies, and other things that most people are interested in. If things go well, see if he wants to go see a movie or do something fun. Perhaps with a group at first, then if things go well, by yourselves.

Haha, funny question. I tend to this often. I usually just say something quietly and quickly and when someone asks what I just said, I'll say "What? Huh?" It annoys people pretty severely.
Or I'll just say something completely unrelated and dodge the question all together.
Or start off like you're going to answer the question properly, then veer off right in the middle and say something that is somewhat unrelated that brings up a different topic.
There are a lot of things you can do to evade questions XD

I would just make eye contact and smile at him quickly, then go with the flow. He may just smile back and keep walking, or he might stop and talk to you. Just try to be friendly by smiling at him first, then let the ball be in his court.

Okay, Friday my friend Taylor and I called one of my guy friends.. ( I really like him but he said he only liked me as a friend)and he answered he was teasing us and everything. Well, my friend asked him if he wanted to get in my pants. To be honest, it sounds like this guy is playing games. He even said he was a man whore. Even if he was joking, there's always some truth behind every joke. And the comment about not liking you and never liking you? So lame. I wouldn't believe your friend who says he's into you. As much as you might want him to be and she might him to be, she isn't him. She doesn't know what he's thinking or how he feels. If he really likes you, you'll know. He'll let you know and it won't even be something that could be questioned. On the Target application it says I have to have the ability to start within 60 days, but I can start within like 70 days....what do i do? I really want to apply asap beacuse i know the spots will be taken if i wait 10 days!!!!!!!!

As far as this application goes, definitely fill it out ASAP! Jobs are going so quickly right now. Once you get to the interview, they will probably ask when you can start. Tell them when you can start BEFORE you point out that it is ten days later than the application asked. They may not even notice.
If they do notice, just explain that after the 70 days you will be out of school and able to work any hours offered (or whatever works with your schedule)

well me and this guy (ben) have been friends for about five years now. i've always had a thing for him, but thats another story. well if i text him he will always text back. BUT last night, i slept at my brothers house with his friend (whose like my second brother) and this morning i guess they took my phone when i fell asleep and was texting him but he never said anything back. i was so mad at them and so i texted ben today and was like what the hell did my brothers say to you. tell me now. and he didnt say anything back either? i'm a little sad. i dont know whats up with him. he's never NOT texted me back. now maybe he thinks it was actually me who "pretended" to be my brothers because he saw me leave my cousins at like 12:30 last night and knows my curfew is 12:30 but my parents let me go to my brothers to watch movies and stuff after. i hope he doesnt think it was me the whole time, i would feel dumb. i dont know what i should do :( i cant belive my brothers did this! and i really want to talk to ben, but i dont know why hes not texting me. it's not like him at all. obviously i'm not going to keep texting him because that would just be annoying. it's freaking me out though, and making me really sad.
If he hasn't answered and he always does, he probably doesn't have his phone. Maybe it died, it broke, or his parents took it away. If I were you, I would call him. That way you can tell if he doesn't have his phone(it will go to his voicemail) and if he does answer, you can explain what happened. Since Ben has been your friend for five years, there's no way he's going to be that upset, no matter what your brothers said to him.
