so me and my friend want to be police officers haha we're just gonna have fun. so we were planning on going to this halloween store and buying the hat, sheriff badge, and hand cuffs, etc. then going to a thrift store or something and getting shirts and a skirt. what kind of shirt should we get? and i was thinking a dark blue jean skirt?
A dark blue or black skirt that comes to roughly your knee would be great. and a light blue or white button up blouse would be good with the handcuffs, badges, and if you can find a cap gun at dollar general or something with a holster and spray paint the holster black.
This is a really fun costume. I have done it before/.
Any ideas for a good halloween costume? Im trying to go for the sexy but cute look. I dont want it to be slutty though.

*Devil's Wife - I borrowed an old black prom dress and bought horns, tail, and pitchfork from wal-mart
*Police Officer-I wore I black skort to a Halloween party and black pants to work. with a Blue or White polo shirt, badge, fake gun and holster and a walkie talkie. (I bummed all this from my bro)
*Cowgirl - kind of obvious, but overdo everything! Draw freckles on your cheeks with eyeliner, do pigtail braids, etc.
Just have fun, and you can do all of these without spending alot of money.
My parents wont let me and my boyfriend be home alone together, is there any way I can convince them to? Like by saying things like I have good grades, etc..?
I think the question that your parents are probably asking is "Why do they want to be home alone?" If the answer is what I think it is, then they have a valid point. You don't want you next question to be "How do I know if I'm pregnant?"
If there is a legit reason that you want to stay home alone, then let your parents know. But, be open with them. Example: If you are wanting to stay home alone because your boyfriend wants to help you clean your room (or whatever) be willing to say. "Mom, you can call the house phone or my cell phone anytime you like. I'm not nervous because I am doing nothing wrong."
Okay so Im 16 and am a black african american with thick hair, I want to straighten it and add like light brown color to it as highlights. My orginial hair color is dark brown my mom calls it dirty brown because of its tint. But last year I dyed it a little richer brown , so some people think its reddish, but its only reddish in the sun. My question is what are some ways I can style it. I really wanna try out bangs but I was wondering if I cut it will it grow back.

And of course your hair will grow back. It may be slow, but usually the more you cut your hair the faster it will grow. It seems opposite, but thats the way it is :)

so, i just graduated high school this year. most of my friends are still senior in high school, but now that im graduated, i swear it feels like IVE DIED. they hardly talk to me anymore, and that depresses me. i love them so much. also, i cant get over the fact that not only did i graduate and leave HIGH SCHOOL, but i also left the drama club, cheerleading, and show choir behind as well.. im just seriously so depressed about this. graduating and leaving high school is supposed to be the happiest time of your life.... its not. a have a couple questions here... :
is it normal to honestly still miss high school and all the things it comes with this much??
how do i cope with this?
i feel like ive been riped out of my comfort zone, torn away from the people i grew up with, and forced to leave the things i love doing. does ANYONE feel this way after graduating???
It gets easier the longer it goes. Eventually you will get old enough to realize that though high school was a great time in your life, it is over. You cherish the memories, and leave it at that.
The older you get, the less freinds you have. Look at your parents.
I dont want to be depressing because I went through this too.

people tell me horses shouldnt be turned out in a pasture in the snow because they could run and slip and fall and break a bone. But I see on magaize covers, articles, that horses are out in the snow, some even live outside in the winter, that's why alot of horses need blankets..soo..whats the problem with letting your horse outside in the snow?
To put it this way, the survived in the wild for hundreds of year before being domesticated. They will make it. You do need to bring them into the barn at night, and make sure you have hay and sweet feed for the winter. Also make sure their water doesn't get frozen.
Okay i'm going into eleventh grade, and I feel like I should sorta kinda know what im gonna do as a career, or at least how to start off in college or something. So as some background info, I have ALWAYS wanted to do something with medicine. And children. Like pediatrician. But then, as I got older I started thinking about school, and the pressure of being a doctor and everything. So I started leaning towards child psychologist. I have always been very interested in understanding the development and thinking of the child. But on the other hand I really really want to HELP children, and I've heard that pyschologists can't really do that. So im thinking, is there anything else sort of like this that I can do that doesnt even have anything to do with medicine, but just helping children, like mentoring as a job? thanks
My sister in law is a counselor at an elementary school, and she helps alot of children get out of bad situations with the help of social services.
She has a Master's Degree and she makes very good money. To put it this way, she is a single mother of a 7 year old she lives in house with a pool, drives a decent car, has a camper, and she lives very comfortably. She is not rich, but she is not poor either.

im a sophomore in high school, and i really would like to learn to make professional graphics. I'm taking a web design class, that will help me with it. But I think it would be cool to make professional pictures for movies, dvd cases, anything like tht too! But how much does a professional computer graphic artist make? And what exactly do they do? And I would like to take some classes on computer graphics. im 15/f/usa

I don't want to be a downer because I believe everyone should pursue their dream. That said, my boyfriend is a graphic artist and has been out of college for over a year. He works in a grocery store.
This all depends on your location, but here in NC job prospects are not very good for graphic artists wanting to ever support themselves or a family. He works as a graphic artist part time and makes 8.00 and hour.
If you are very creative I would go for a different career that still employs creativity. Such as web design, culinary school, or possibly interior design.
**Warning: Commerical** If there is an Art Institute in your area, check it out. It is very expensive, but you can get alot of help and they will help you find a job.

Alright, so I've worked once before for Old Navy, but got fired because of a big misunderstanding about what my schedule was and therefore I didn't come into work (which looks horrible). So now I'm applying for Adidas a year later, and on the application it asks if I have ever been discharged from employment. I was wondering if it is better to not mention it or to say yes I have and explain myself. I know you're definitely not suppose to lie on your application, but would they ever actually find out? Any help would be appreciated :] Thanks
Well, Dr. House would say "Everybody Lies" However, I don't think it's good idea to lie on an application. Because think about how much WORSE it will look if your new employer finds out about the first employer and then you are fired from that job also.
It is better to be honest with an employer. Because in my experience, you can get away with everything, but you can get away with anything forever.

Ok this is for an assignment for school. I need to ask people of their favorite events in history and why? I need about 10 and i already have 3, but if you have more than one favorite event then feel free to tell me. So far I have:

* Industrial Revolution/Child labor laws - The industrial revolution changed the American economy forever, and I think it SHOULD be against the law for a five year old child to work in a sweat shop.
(the next one kind of goes along w/child labor)
* The reform of juvenile justice system. - In the past, parents who thought their children were unruly could commit them to a "House of Reform" (research it) Those were bad places. They could sometimes be stuck there until they were 21.

I went to a wedding last summer and at each placemat setting was a real ocean sand dollar and ribbon. I thought it looked quite unique and elegant.
Is that a common practice? Where can I get a large quantity of sand dollars for my upcoming June wedding? A friend mentioned eBay as a source for these.

Try a local arts/crafts store such as Michaels or Hobby Lobby. I have, from time to time, seen things like that there, especially in the summertime. Go to thier websites to search for stores in you area.
Also, if you are planning to vacation near the ocean or know someone who is, many souviener shops have bins with that type of thing that you can buy. I have visted the North Carolina coast and saw sand dollars for sale in a variety of colors and sizes.

I need to find a blog, or a story, or even an article on "Change". Of cours eI've googled and found lots, but at the same time nothing that speaks to me.
I want it to either be really funny and sarcastic, maybe along the lines of "some things never change" kinda message.
Or really sweet, and heart-warming.
Or even maybe just full of wisdom? You know - with a great punch line at the end about how the importance of change is to know why it happens, or maybe that sometimes you need to witness someone elses change to wae up from years of sleep, and hear what you've been denying, or you now anything cool like that.

Well i have two best friends and well made a small click Called ABC im A my moved away friend is B and C is my other best friend. and well B told C that she was moving a while back and she never told me. she told C and C told me to say good bye when she came and was ?!?!? okay.. then one of my other friend told me that she was tranfering..... :\ so that was one concern about our freindship. Well B told me a couple times she was pregnant while laughing so i didnt believe her. and well she txted C saying that she was pregnant for reals no joke.
Is she my friend even if she prefer to tells everyone else before me? or am i just flipping out bc she left? well what do i tell my friend about her being pregnant? when she has a loser boyfriend....? for reals he should common sense to use protection? shouldnt he? and well my friends ex boyfriend is pist that she got pregnent bc he still cares about her. what should he do? bc he wants B to give up that life with her loser boyfriend and go to the ex boyfriend.
well i seriously dont know what to tell my friend or how to help her.

I am not sure how old you are but I am guessing you are in middle or early high school. There is both simple and complex answers to your questions. The simple thing to say is: "It's not you so it doesn't matter. And your friends change." However, I believe the answer is alot more complex than that.
If you are as young as I think you are, then your pregnant friend has made a HUGE error in judgment. There is nothing you can do to solve her enormous problem. You can be supportive of her during this time. I do think you should learn from her mistake so that you do not make the same error she did. I think she should try to make a relationship work with the father. The ex-boyfriend should not get involved. This situation is much bigger than he and this other girl.
part of this simple answer is also true. Your friends change and this time in your life is probably a rough patch of that.

Ok I've hung out with my older brother's friends for awhile now (he is 25 and his friends range from 21 - 28 i think). Well, I've liked one of them for a couple years now, and they had a new years eve party last night. I ended up staying there, and me and this guy that I've liked slept on the couch together (nothing happened though, just cuddling). After we all left, he sent me a message on facebook and said he had a good time chillin with me and gave me his number. So I gave him mine, and we're texting now. He wants to take me to a movie sometime, and I'm really excited. But the problems are 1) he's 24 and 2) my brother doesn't really like him anymore (some girl issue they had like a year ago). I really want to see where things go with this guy, but my brother would kill me if he knew. He's already told me I shouldn't go out with him and all. Plus, my mom doens't think it's a good idea, cause it might mess up my relationship with my brother. I'm really stuck on this. I really like this guy, but at the same time, I don't want to ruin my relationship with my brother. :/ Help??
You and your brother should be old enough to talk this out. It's not like it was when you were 14 and trying to date a guy that was only going to use you. My fiance and I have a bigger age gap than that. [I am 19 and he is 24] You need to sit down with your brother and ask him what makes this guy dangerous for you to date. If he doesn't say anything better than "me an' him have issues" or profanity then its probably OK to go ahead and date this guy. And your mom is just being a mom. Unless you do something really stupid I doubt seriously that you and your brother will have any irreconcilable differences. You've probably pissed him off before, but he's still your brother, Right?
On the other hand. I know you love your brother. I am the youngest of five and I have 4 older brothers: 1 that is 28, 2(twins) that are 24 and a 22 year old. Trust me, I KNOW all about brothers. They never liked any of my boyfriends for the first 6 months we dated. So, try to understand his feelings and don't be demanding as it might be a sore spot.

Well, I am not sure that stopping masturbation is a good idea. I have read studies that show that if you do not masturbate at all you may lower your sex drive. So, when you do have a wife or girl friend, you may have some type of ED or you may have lower sperm counts.

Breakfast- special K cerial.
Lunch- school lunch. witch is GROSS. so I will just drink water.

Dinner- whatever my mom cooks =[. [usally healthy tho.]

only drink water. & diett drinks.

Listen, you CANNOT eat only Special K. That is incredibly horrible for you. If you do it right, you will lose wieght slower, but you will not put wieght back on either. It would be pointless to lsoe 20 pounds only to put it back on in 4 months. That would not only be a waste of your time, but it would be terrible for your body.
You do have a few things right. Breakfast is good. And exercise is good. Just make sure that you are walking fast enough that you cant carry on a conversation or the walking is useless as well.
Another thing, lose the soft drinks. Yep, even the diet ones. I know they dont hav any calories, but what they DO have is *carbonation* this is like little bubbles that just blow your stomach up and you will NEVER have aflat stomach as long as you drink soft drinks.
I hope what I said will help you. I know this is a hard thing, but do it right and you won't regret it.

What do you guys consider as flirting? I'm a girl and I'm a tomboy sorta. I'd rather hang out with guys (because there is way less drama then to hang out with girls) play video games with them, joke with them, and ust basically do things with them rather than girls (keep in mind that this is all rate PG stuff)
And everytime I make a guy friend, they end up wanting to go out with me and I rather just stay friends with them then to go out and ruin the friendship. And so I say no most of the times and I feel bad at the end because I said no (I know I shouldn't) and I've hurt them.
And then when I do want to go out with a guy (that I usually don't hang out with...don't ask why. I just can't do the whole hanging out thing with my crushes)he 1)doesn't want to because he's intiminated by the number of guy friends I have or 2)breaks up with me because I end up spending a lot of time with my guy friends.
The question is how to I attrack fewer crushes from my guy friends and more from guys I do like?
p.s. what's with the guys and tackling? they know i have like no strength whatsoever and they just tackle me (not hurt wise but friendly wise)
The reason you probably can't "hang out" with the guys you have crushes on is because you are not as comfortable with them as you are the guys you dont have an intrest in. You see, around the guy friends you dont "like" you arent trying to impress them and you arent worried about how you acting or what you are saying. You have complete confidence, and THAT my dearie is why they are attracted to you.
It is the same reason why the most popular people are popular. They are confident, they arent worried one bit about what others think of them. And thats what people want, ironically, is for people not to care about thier opinions.
So, when you are around the guys you do like, my advice would to be just to imagine they are just one of your friends and be cool and confident liek you are with everyone else. That will make and keep them drooling.
