I MISS HIGH SCHOOL SO MUCH- TOO MUCH. ITS EFFECTING ME TERRIBLEY.

Question Posted Tuesday October 14 2008, 10:07 pm

so, i just graduated high school this year. most of my friends are still senior in high school, but now that im graduated, i swear it feels like IVE DIED. they hardly talk to me anymore, and that depresses me. i love them so much. also, i cant get over the fact that not only did i graduate and leave HIGH SCHOOL, but i also left the drama club, cheerleading, and show choir behind as well.. im just seriously so depressed about this. graduating and leaving high school is supposed to be the happiest time of your life.... its not. a have a couple questions here... :

is it normal to honestly still miss high school and all the things it comes with this much??

how do i cope with this?

i feel like ive been riped out of my comfort zone, torn away from the people i grew up with, and forced to leave the things i love doing. does ANYONE feel this way after graduating???

OMG! i totally feel the same way girl.
i just graduated too, and now going to college.
i have alot of friends who are seniors and i get very sad and kind of jealous when i hear they're homecoming is coming up, or doing things school realated like i miss the football games, dances and everything else in high school. i feel so alone right now, trying to find myself but i wish i was back in high school.. i miss it so much. they say that college is suppose to be the best years of your life, but right now i dont see how that is. i feel like im drifting away from my close friends that are seniors because now they are all doing things and going to school events with each other and im not going to them anymore. as much as i'd like to go i feel like i shouldnt be stuck in the high school days anymore because i feel as if everyone else has moved on. if you EVER need to talk, hun im always here and going through the same thing! ♥ LU

It gets easier the longer it goes. Eventually you will get old enough to realize that though high school was a great time in your life, it is over. You cherish the memories, and leave it at that.

The older you get, the less freinds you have. Look at your parents.

I dont want to be depressing because I went through this too.

Peace, Peace. Love, Love. Forever, Ever.

It's a big, scary world out there. It's totally normal to feel that out of place when you first get out.

Did you start college this term? Get involved with the drama club and cheerleading on campus.

Go to your local community center or community college. They will have plenty of opprotunities that will fit in with show choir, cheer, and drama.

You'll meet more people and make more friends. It'll definitely help you slowly get through the depression.

cheers,
stargirl
