I wasn't sure what category to put this under by recently my girlfriend / best friend and I just lost our virginity to each other. It was amazing. But then the next night, I get a phone call from her brother saying to go the hospital because my girlfriend's just been raped...by her father. I didn't know what to do, so i just froze and went after her father. I beat the crap out of him and broke my hand. I know that wasn't smart but what he did to her was less smart. He's been abusing her since about the age of 4, I was one of the few people who knew this. She didn't want ANYONE telling the police because her father threatened her. And she didn't want to run away and leave her little sister with her father for fear he might hurt her too.

Well anyway, back on topic, her father went to jail and everyone testified against him. So he'll be in there for a LONG time. My problem is, my girlfriend is still in shock over this. We tried to have sex a few weeks later but she was so scared and still thinks about the rape. I'm not frustrated about the no-sex part AT ALL believe me. But what I'm wondering is if there's anything I can do for her to make her get over this. I want her to be happy again. I love her with all my heart and hate seeing her like this.

Any girls who have been raped, you could probably help me most on this. How did you get over it? Thanks SO much!

im only 12( :-)hehe) but..last year i helped to counselor at my skool..and there was mayb one or 2 cases..not sure tho..if shes too embarassed to tell someone like a counselor..jus talk to her..let her talk if and when she wants..but if she duznt argue..id say try to see a counselor..

i have a real big problem.. my best friend cuts herself.. she doesnt seem to think that theres anything wrong with it. but there deff. is. and the reason she does it is bcuz the kid she likes isnt going out with her but he likes her. and i keep talking to her telling her that she needs to stop bcuz shes gona end up killing herself one day. and she keeps saying i know i know im gona stop. but she never does. and she told me not to tell her mom or any guidence counclers or anyone. how i can help her stop hurting herslef without telling anyone about it??

you deffinitly need to tell a counselor a parent or sumone...if shes ur best friend she should b able to accept the fact that u told for her own good..shes taking all her pain and emotion out on herslef by cutting..try to find another way she can..say a prayer..and have faith!

im not sure if this is the rite category but im a 14 year old male and i wanna run away. i dont like tthe way im being treated at home my parents r taking away my comps cuz they saw somethin on this site that they didnt like and they think i had somthin 2do w/ it. my mom is always yelling 4 no reason she thinx im always doin somthin rong my dad gives me no privacy and tries 2 read my messages. i hate having my life consumed by them. i want a life of my own.so should i stay or should i go?

I think you definitly need to stay..running away wouldnt do anyone any good..and if u did run away where would u go? how would u get food and clothes? when skool starts again..go to the counselors office..they're always there and they help a lot..hope you make the RIGHT choice!--rOcKeR4GoD
