Okay so my friend asked me to go to wisconsin with her and her family this weekend and here i am all pumped up for it. I ask my mom and her answer is " NO." . Yup, thats all she says. NO. No reason to back it up. Which ticks me off might i add. She doesnt let me go anywhere. No concert,mall, or six flags. IM A FREEKIN TEENAGER FOR GODS SAKE. I am old enough to know not to go in strangers cars. I am old enough to know not to take "candy " from people i dont know. I AM OLD ENOUGH! She gets on my nerves. I have no clue what to do.
Oh, and shes those kind of moms who likes to IGNORE YOU while your talking which obviously donts help! UGHHHHHH. I NEED ADVICE. PLEASE!

write her a letter/note. I know it sounds dumb, but i SWEAR it works. My mom is like yours, she just doesn't listen when I talk, so once I tried putting it on paper and expressing my feelings that way and it worked. Just say something like
Dear mom,
Earlier I asked you about going to wisconsin this weekend. I know the decision is entirely up to you, and I understand if there are things you don't want me to do, but it's really frustrating when you don't give me a reason why. I know that you care a lot about me and want to make sure I'm safe, and in the end if I can't go this weekend that is alright, but I would like to have a conversation with you about it so that you know all of the details before deciding, and so that you can explain to me why I can't go. I love you, but there are some things I really want to do with my friends that I would like to discuss with you before you just make up your mind.

chances are she will approach you if you give her this letter. notes like this, especially when you act mature and say I love you :) show your parents that you are a mature, caring kid that needs to be taken seriously.

This is a follow up question to a question I recently asked:
So I wanna run 3 sessions for about 30-40 minutes.
That will be about 2 hours a day at least...And I was wondering if its bad, like if I can over run. The reason I'm doing this is because I need to run a timed mile with in a week
So is running about 2 hours a day for a week too much?
Like can you over run yourself (Like I know you can over drink like water and you can drown your intestines)

Even if you are extremely athletic, you can still get injured and fatigued. I think that two hours is overdoing it. That means you are basically running a half marathon every single day! If you are working toward a timed mile, running that much isn't what's going to help you. You need to practice sprinting, not so that you can sprint the timed mile, but just so that you are able accelerate the entire mile rather than starting fast and having to slow your pace. I think that an hour to an hour and a half a day is good.
If you overdo it you could work your body harder than it can handle, which will result in injuries and there will also be a point where your body stops responding well to exercise because it needs a day to rebuild the muscle that is torn and stretched through rigorous exercise.

I have to run a 6:15 mile this year lsat year I did a 6:33 and I was really out of shape than.
This year I'm in preetty goood shape, but I still have to drop time.
So I have to do it by Wednesday, so if today is Friday, I have 6 days about.
SOOOO I heard that it takes about 28 days to get in shape, and 3 days to lose it (also is that true??)
Anyways, if I run 3 times a day for a half hour each day aka a total of 1.5 hours a day would I be in good shape?

It does take about a month to get in shape, but that's just a vague idea because of course it matters how much you are actually doing for exercise. however, it does not take 3 days to lose everything. It takes about as long to get into shape as to get out of shape, so don't freak out if you miss a day or too.
for running, your 3 a day plan seems good, but don't do that on the day before, because otherwise you will be too fatigued to run well on wednesday. also, run sprint/fast jog intervals so that you can increase your speed, it will really help. goodluck!

i was at field hockey tryouts and a field hockey ball hit me really hard on my big toe. at first it wasn't bruised but everyday it keeps getting worse (more purple/blue-gross right?) it is just my toe nail not my actual toe. will my toe nail fall off? i'm really scared if that happens. what do i do? what should i put on it? don't worry too much, I have never had my toenail fall off, but my friend's does like, every year cuz she's crazy and I dunno. anyways, it's not a huge deal. for now, keep a band aid on it. You can also soak your foot in hot water and epson salt. when and if it falls off just keep it bandaged up so you don't have to look at it, and it won't take as long as you think to grow back.

In order to be not overweight you should be at 150. Losing 50 pounds is going to take hard work. for exercises you should try to go to the gym as often as possible if you can't run in your neighborhood. The best way to lose weight is aerobic activity, or cardio, because that burns calories. This could be running, using a bike machine, a stairclimber, or an elyptical. You are probably like me, and a little self concious to go into a gym and work out amongst big strong men and skinny girls, but don't be because if people see you working out they are going to admire you for your effort, and realize that you care about your body.
You also need to cut down the calories. replace all soda with water, and try to cut out all fried, fatty, saturated foods.
At the moment, the weight you are at is not healthy. Luckily you are young, but the thing is, if you don't lose the weight now it will be much harder to lose it later in life because your metabolism will have slowed down. This could lead to heart attacks, diabetes and a premature death, so please try to be healthy now!

What do I have to do to get great, beautiful, fair, light, milky, healthy, soft skin?
And I'm talking about my whole body, not about acne and pimples.
I mean just naturally beautiful skin like celebs. I'm sure there have a certain diet or way or regime they follow for they're great beautiful skin other then make up.

well there are a lot of fancy lotions you can by, but those get expensive. If you want great skin, try to stay out of the sun, and wear sunscreen, otherwise you will get dry skin and wrinkles. I use a body lotion by vaseline that is spf 15, because it doesn't feel gross like sunscreen. Drink lots of water, because beautiful skin needs to be hydrated. also, make sure you exfoliate. any convenience store or big supermarket will have tons of scrubby products to exfoliate skin with. So those are the three most important things: exfoliate, sun protection, and hydrating (with water and moisturizing lotion)
remeber, celebs have their skin airbrushed in photos. nobody has absolutely perfect skin, but doing what I mentioned will definitely help! goodluck

is it a phobia if whenever you walk in the dark or something, you always look behind you? I'm not sure why, but when i walk up the stairs when the lights are turned off, i keep looking behind me. I'm not afraid of the dark or anything. am I just being paranoid? thanks in advance! (link)

haha, I do that too. people are just naturally scared of things harming them that they aren't aware of, like people attacking from behind (not that we actually think that, it's just instinct).

So i got a pimple like last summer, and then it never went away. My aunt says she think it turned into a mole. It turned into a light shade of brown. It doesn't stand out or anything, but it just bothers me knowing it's there. But why did it do that? Occasionally, i get this piece of black hair coming out of it (ew), but i pluck it off. But i want the mole (or whatever it is) gone. Is there anyway a can do it? Is there something cheap I could buy at like a drugstore?

it's much more dangerous if a mole appears than if it is already there and just "strange" looking.
talk to your parents and schedule an appointment with a dermatologist as soon as you can. talking to a doctor that specializes in this can help you stop worrying, and can also save your life if it turns out it's cancerous.

But I just want to get the fundamental style- I know a gorgeous tan is a given and I'm working on that. But as for the clothes. What type of clothes should I be picking out? layering? What type trousers and shoes and accesories should I buy???

here's a few things you could do.
* get lighter highlights in your hair, don't dye it, just get highlights
* get some dark wash skinny jeans
* for shoes, buy some cute flats, a few pairs probably
* don't be afraid of bright colors, but mix them with browns, whites, and blacks
* wear long, gold jewelry over your shirts
* in terms of shirts, you can wear anything. any sort of nice blouse, tank top, or sweater doesn't matter so much. Try not to wear any cheesy neon colors, like hot pink. bright is ok, but make sure they are also dark and rich colors, that's more of the marissa look.

how do you lose weight FPREVER? like if you lose a lot of weight and your happy with it then how o you maintain that copz it USUALLY goes back rifht? then youll feel pissed off and give up on your body how do i make that not happen? like if you drop 10 pounds how do yuou keep that and not gain it back (link)

It's all about how many calories you consume vs. how many calories you burn. Once you've lost the weight, just know that you can't start eating a lot of crap again, or become lazy and not exercise. A lot of people think that a 2 month diet is just the solution to being skinny, and after that you'll be skinny forever, but that's not true. It's just the beginning of a healthier lifestyle. As long as you never stop being active and don't pig out, you will be fine. One tip though is to continue to weigh yourself and check yourself out in the mirror even after you are at your goal weight. That way you know as soon as you start puttin the pounds back on, and you can tweak your habbits a little.

hey. i am trying out for a highschool field hockey team in a couple weeks and for tryouts we have to run three miles a day. i want to try to get a time around 22-25 minutes. right now i can run a 7.5 minute mile. is there any advice or things i can do or practice to make myself go faster for 3 miles?

practice going at an 8-9 minute pace for 4 or 5 miles three times a week and do two miles of jog/sprint intervals three times a week. this way, you will build up your endurance by doing frequent longer runs and you will also increase your speed with the sprinting intervals. good luck!

i went to the website, and I think I know why you got that weird answer. when you are finding the difference between measurements, make sure you use the number you got AFTER adding 4 or 5 inches, not before.

ok, i tried it, and at first i was really freaked out, but now i know how it works.
every time you play, new symbols are assigned to each number. they are assigned so that no matter what number you choose, you will end up at a number with the same symbol.
for example, here's a fake round.
I pick number 40, 4+0=4, so the number i arrive at is 36. then the game assigns a "&" sign or whatever to 36.
they assign the "&" sign to about 10 or so of the numbers on the chart, because mathematically, you will always end up at one of those numbers, that's just how the equation works.
then, in order to keep you from discovering that, when you click "try again" they change all of the symbols, however, it is always the same symbol on the numbers 59, 18, 17, 36, 55, 54, 34, 73, 72, 9, 66, 46, 45, 63, 22, 2, 81, and 0. those numbers are the only ones you can ever arrive at mathematically, and whatever symbol is next to them is the one that the magic ball will choose.

they are very tiny white worms that look like tiny pieces of toilet paper kind of. They live in the lower intestines and at night they come out of the persons butt hole and cause itchyness. They will continue to multiply unless the person goes to a doctor and gets a prescription. they are pretty gross, but can be killed easily

is running in place the same as running on a treadmill? like does it have the same effect? i cant run outside bc the middle of a Georgia summer isnt the best for running ha. (link)

no, it's actually not. In order to burn calories running you need to extend your legs which you can't do running in place. I would suggest that if you can't run outside then find a gym so you can use tredmills, or jump ropse, run stairs and do jumping jacks at home. those are all cardio exercises that should help. goodluck

you just need to put your food into better proportions. next time, eat the ice cream and the bread, but only scoop out a little ice cream, and only take a few bites of bread. it's all about portions, just keep taking exactly what you want of a food and divide it by two and put half back, and you will become much healthier. if you deprive yourself of food all day you will end up binging at night and that will make you gain weight
