its not a phobia, just a fear! I do that to so dont worry & so do many other people haha =]
A phobia is "A persistent, abnormal, and irrational fear of a specific thing or situation that compels one to avoid it, despite the awareness and reassurance that it is not dangerous." - [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) ]
A fear and a phobia are two different things. You're just being cautious. This isn't keeping you from living your life, so you're fine. I do the same thing, it's actually a good idea because it makes you more aware of your surroundings. Plus, I always get the feeling I'm being watched. So yeah, I check.

I am the same way. I think it's a mixture of:
- a terrible fear of the dark. (if you are like me, you literally cry when in total darkness).
- paranoia. (we must watch toom any scary movies ;])
Basically, I think you're fine. Other people, like myself for example, are like this, too. so don't worry about it =]

haha, I do that too. people are just naturally scared of things harming them that they aren't aware of, like people attacking from behind (not that we actually think that, it's just instinct).
don't worry about it ]
