peebles7 answered Saturday June 23 2007, 6:52 pm: they are very tiny white worms that look like tiny pieces of toilet paper kind of. They live in the lower intestines and at night they come out of the persons butt hole and cause itchyness. They will continue to multiply unless the person goes to a doctor and gets a prescription. they are pretty gross, but can be killed easily [ peebles7's advice column | Ask peebles7 A Question ]
aj22286 answered Saturday June 23 2007, 6:20 pm: The pinworm lives in the lower part of the small intestine, and the upper part of the colon. It is found worldwide and causes the common infection enterobiasis in humans. Unlike many other intestinal parasites, the pinworm does not usually enter the bloodstream or any other organs besides the intestines. Only in rare cases disoriented pinworms can be found in the vagina, and even more rarely in the uterus, fallopian tubes, liver and peritoneum; but the worms cannot survive long in these places. Hope this helps. [ aj22286's advice column | Ask aj22286 A Question ]
