for recommenations, do we HAVE to ask teachers?

if it is a recommendation for an activity at school, you most likely have to ask teachers, guidance counselors, the principal and vice principal, and other school authorities. if it is a job recommendation or something of that sort then you can ask any adult figure that knows you.

If it's a college reccomendation then no, you don't have to ask a teacher. If you aren't comfortable with that, then you can ask a guidance counselor. Those are the main people you should go to for one, though.

You could get one from a coach or boss if you have a job, but you always want one from your teacher or guidance counselor too.
