Q: im not japanese but would it be weird to name my child after a japanese name.. like Kasumi or Hikari? im actually african, not asian at all.. but the names seem cute. also what do they mean? the names i mean.

Q: is a chi really worth it? i have a conair right now, and it straightens my naturally pretty curly hair really well at first. but it doesnt take long for it to wave/dip in and out and get poofy. all i want is pin straight sleek hair. will a chi do that and make it last?

id appreciate only if youve used a chi to give me your input :] thanks!

I have a Chi and I had a Conair. A Chi is so much better. It leaves your hair straight and silky with less work and it looks better.

Q: I need your help deciding what the ideal menu for a public dinner would be.

Not knowing what would be the best dishes to serve is making this an impossible task.

If you will tell me your favorite foods, or point me to your favorite recipes, it would really help a lot.

You can list as many things as you like. They don't have to be fancy things at all. I am all about the comfort food baby! :)

This will be a mixed group of people so I would like to have something for everyone.

Q: i have no idea where to start. she keeps blackmailing me. and hinting to my parents that oh i dnt want to be like her . or me tunr into her. or her lieing (sarcasticly) puft never... and stuff like that. she and i have been sen to bording school and since we live together i have no way of getting away with anything. i don't neccessarly do anything wrong but it isn't exactly what my parents expect and would like me to do. i only went out dancing at a club once and the rest of time i hang out with frnds mostly for almost all the day and then i get back. the only problem is that i have a cerfue and its not fair (its at 4pm rite after school's dun) and i am not allowed to take activities afterwards.... but all my teachers see potential in me (i am a straight A student with a few glitches here and there) and the cover up for me wen i join the schools math club or bio lab club afterwards. i also do art and i write so after that i hang out with my friends for pizza and soda and then get home at about 8 9 or 10 max on weekdays... on weekends at 10 or 11 and only about 3 times at 12..... my parents would go crazy and send me back to my old public school i am doing really well here and my chances to get in anywhere are high.... the only problem is my sadist moralistic hermit of a sister keeps annoying me about it. she makes my parents doubt what i do... and its not that she says but its the way she says things...... she keeps saying dnt ask me i dnt want to get into it... i don't knw... nothing (sarcasticly) or oh i can't wait till she goes away or graduates... or even "r you just twisting the truth about that" so everyone looks at me funny.... my parents have a diffrent culture and they don' accept the mingling of the sexes or anything beyond the ppl they knw... and its really hard. i was so misrable before because i am usually a very social person now..... i feel happy i found myself.... and if she tells them i am really in trouble... its her word against mine and its both ways a loose loose situation....... her words weigh more (since they knw she is rude and dsnt socialize) and if she dsnt i have to stick at home and prove that i don't go out. but i am sure she'll say sooner or later... i know my sister. so what do i do to be prepared.... do i lie?!

I think you should get to your parents first. Go to them and tell them that your sister has been hassling you and has been making you seem like a bad guy. Assure them that you are doing nothing wrong. Tell them how well you are doing in your school. If you do some chores around the house for free, they'll respect you more because they'll thing you are more responsible. If that doesn't work then just get used to it and hopefully your parents wont punish you in any way if your sister tells them something.

Q: This Guy at school asked for my number, and hasnt called in at least 5 days. I saw him at school a few days after he asked for my number and he seemed like he didnt like me. Im sort of confused. Is it OK for a girl to call a boy first? Cuz I want to call him. I have his number. Anyway, thanks!

Its fine for you to call him first if you are comfortable with it. Just call him and have fun. It would also be good if you asked him to hang out, and then he can ask you out if he wants to.

Q: Okay for our yearly band trip we are going to dallas. and we are staying in an embassy suite. Is that a good nice hotel? I come from a weathly family and we usually stay in Waldorfs, Hiltons, Marco Polo, Etc, and i didnt kno what to expect. should i make reservations for myself at anpther hotel or will i be able to deal with it? Thanks and it may seem like i am being snobby but i really am not.

Q: My grade will be testing ALL week and we can't bring a backpack to school. I'm going to get my period soon but i'm not sure what day. Ware could I keep a pad ware it won't be noticable since I can't bring a backpack? I don't want to waiste them on days I wont have my period.

If your religious, then its possible you will go to hell for it because its against the 10 commandments, but if your like me and your athiest, its just bad because if you get caught you'll get in a hella lot of trouble with the cops. You dont want that to happen, so if any of you or your friends were wanting to, its a bad idea.

There are so many people out there pretending to be modeling agencies in order to get your money or your body. Look some up. No modeling agency that asks for money is real (or good). That came from Miss Tyra Banks herself. Some good agencies:

Those are well known modeling agencies and they are good ones to get into. Watch some episodes of Americas Next Top Model and look at some fashion Magazines like Vogue to get tips then take amazing model like pictures of yourself. Then send them in!

Q: Me and my four friends (we are all girls age20's) went to the swimming pool the other day and one of my friends didn't have a bathing suite I dared her to jump in with her clothes still on. she did we all laughed and then she came up to me and said "hey guess what my bra is wet" i looked at her and looked away and said "thanks for the notice i guess" and i saw her smiled.

why did she tell me that?

I got one answer from Yahoo answers, they said
"it's probably an innocent comment. she probably didn't mean anything sexual by it."

what does that mean?
How can that be a innocent comment?

It was probably just a joke. People say things like that all the time. People even say true lesbian like things as jokes.

Q: im 13/f hes 15/m. my brother sleepwalks ALOT. he is 2 years older 3 feet taller about 100lbs stronger. in the day we get along really well not like most siblings. he tries to hurt me and soon gona kill me in his sleep. every night so im scaared to sleep i only sleep for about 3 hours. just last night he got up on my bed and was kicking me and started punching me. night before he was trying to strangel me. the night before he was trying to pull my head off and hitting my head. something happenes almost every night. i fight back. i dont want him to kill me but i fight back hard i dont wana kill him. i knocked the air out of him when he tried to strangel me. i dont want it to hurt either of us. does it mean something. how do i stop it. he went to the doctor. my mom can not stop him im stronger than she is. what do i do.

Try to get a lock for his door and for yours and use it every night. (His lock needs to unlock from outside) If that doesnt work, you could always try to block his door at night.

Q: My bottom lashes are really blonde and you can't see them and it's really hard to put mascara on them. I need to darken them, without completely damaging them. Any suggestions??? Thanks

This isnt going to be a great answer, but there is a thing called eyelash tinting. It doesnt last too long and it costs like $40 i think. but look it up

My dog was coughing up blood and the vet said it was because his heart failed. And my dog died that day. So take him to the vet pronto and good luck.

Oh gosh. The same thing happened to me once. You just need to tell him that you like him and that if he dates you then you will make him happy. He needs to pick who he likes the most and that may or may not be you.

Q: I have been screwed over in a lot of relationships thus far in my life. I'm 18 years old. I have recently been hanging out with this guy who just got out of a 5 year relationship. I stayed over at his house alone last night, he has his own place. I slept on the couch and he slept in his bed. We didnt fall asleep until 8 AM and we slept until like 2 PM. We were up all night talking and playing video games and watching videos on youtube. One minute I will just be thinking hes so sweet and perfect and nice and funny and cute. The next minute I will think "do i really like him? do i really feel anything for him?" am i just scared to fall in love again or do i just want to fall in love so im telling myself theres something there. im so confused.

My philosophy is that if you have to think hard about it and have to ask yourself whether you love him or not, then you probably don't love him. You probably like him a lot, but you may not love him yet. Give it time and you may actually love him soon.

Q: Well today my friend found out her father has been shot and died. She isn't sure yet if it was suicide or someone else did it.

I feel like I'm not being a very good friend. Before you start calling me deadbeat friend listen to my story.

For a long time in our friendship she had told me and everyone her father had died on September 11 2001. He was working at the world trade centre. Then she came clean, she was being an attention seeker and that she had never met her father in her life.

And then today she's hysterical about her father's passing and I find out her father was actually in her life. I'm not ignoring her, or snobbing her off. She's in a very vunerable position and that is the wrong thing to do. But what is the right thing to do? Do I act like she hasn't lied to me all this time for my pity? Do I point it out? How am I supposed to comfort her when I thought she didn't have a father?

Well I think you should comfort her and be nice to her now because she is your friend and she does need your help to get through this. But once she has calmed down, like in a few weeks or months, you need to talk to her about her obsessive lying.

Q: so, im getting a puppy. a chihuahua. shes only 5 weeks,(6 weeks saturday) and she started eating by herself, so i might get her this weekend. well anyways, i like the name Stella. But when people ask me her name, i say Stella, and they give me a weird look. i think the name is cute.
so my first question. do you think the name is cute?

Aw. I think Stella is a cute name. And I think it fits a chihuahua.
For dog names, I think its hard to name dogs until you see them. I think you should come up with the name since its your dog and you know what you like and everything but I'll give you some ideas.

Q: ok i blowdry my hair every night but when i wake up it's always poofy. how do i make it stay in place even after i wake up??

Oh jeez, usually its the opposite for me. Usually I blow dry it and straighten it then go to bed and its less poofy. But enough about me. You should probably either straigten it. If your going for a curly look, then i suggest maybe styling in the morning. Or when your wearing it either way you could put in frizz control serum and put into a pony tail.

my boyfriend has me 9th in his top friends for myspace and like 4 other girls are in front of me. and he never puts me in his AIM away message and it kinda pisses me off. one day he'll be like "i love you soo much i couldn't live without youu." then he'll be like ehh whatever the next day and not as sweet. some days he calls me and some times he doesn't. i just want him to call me every day and put me in his away messages and tell me he loves me all the time. some times he does, but other times he just doesn't. it would be kind of stupid being like "yeah you have to call me every day and always say you love me and put me in your AIM away message." but i don't know how else to get the message across..

he's a very loving boyfriend but sometimes i feel that he likes to play hard to get. =(

Okay. First off, I have never seen a guy put his girlfriend in his away message unless the girl is really pissed at him and he left an apology on there. Maybe take the first steps. Like put him in your away messages when hes on so he sees and is like "oh I'll put her in my away message!". About the myspace thing, either talk to him about it or just get used to it. And same about the rest too. Tell him how you feel, and if hes a good boyfriend then he won't get mad and he'll put more effort into the relationship.
