WHat are some unique reasons why public schools should have school uniforms? (link)

I'm not sure why you are asking, but if you are trying to convince your public school to get uniforms, it wont work, because uniforms cost money and public schools can't make their students spend money (because a lot of kids may be poor)....however....
I go to private school, and i wear a uniform...and some good reasons include
1. they create an equalization...they make everyone look equal
2. they allow the pressure of designer clothing to not exsist...you can't necessarily tell someone's social status by the way they look at school
3. its muchhh easier to get ready for school in the morning
4. it removes the distraction of "slutty" girls, and allows everyone to look the same.

Ok, so, a few days ago, my boyfriend tried to finger me, but it didn't work, which is good, because I didn't really want it too. And like, he really wants to have sex, but I'm not ready. Well, apparently, he told people he fingered me and stuff. I feel like he's using me to be able to tell his friends "oh my god i did this with a chick!" or something. Like, lets say we had sex. What if he told people? They're already thinking Im a slut, which Im not. I'm like, really shy, and I don't "confront" people, I guess you could say. what do I do? It's killing me. (link)

OMG break up with him right now! It's not right AT ALL for him to be making up these stories about what you and him did...especially when you didnt do anything (even if you did do it, it doesnt give him the right to tell people). You can't trust a guy like that, he should respect you, and he should also respect your boundaries. If you're not ready to go farther...then don't, its as simple as that. There is no law that says that you have to get to a certain point with a guy before a certain age...its whatever YOU are comfortable with....i know its tough with peer presure and such...it sucks, i'm going through it to, but at the end of the day, you are the only person that has to live with what you do and you might as well do what makes you proud of yourself, because 20 years from now, it wont matter what your "friends" think of you, it will only matter what you think of yourself.

Me and my bf of 11 months have talked for a long time about sex. I'm 17 and he's 18. I'm still a virgin and he's not. I was all for it cause I know that I love him and I want for him to be my first. But when the time came I chickened out. He was really patient about it and told me not to worry about it that it will happen when it happens. I don't know what to do. Let me start out by saying, that your boyfriend sounds like a great guy! And maybe its that you just arent ready for sex yet...and at 17, i'd say thats a good thing. You don't want to rush these things, because you can never take it back. But if you are sure that you are ready, i think that no matter what, (and whatever age you are) you are going to be nervous your first time, because it's scary (i'm still a vigin my self (16/f) but this is what i pressume. I think that the only way to get over the nerves is to have sex...but DON'T RUSH INTO A DECISION LIKE THIS! Because the worst thing in the world is regret.

ok, well im in 9th grade and im going to a HUGE halloween party. I mean ive been invited to parties before, but not any that is this big- most of the grade will be there-. I guess you could say that im popular, but not really really popular, ya know? If that helps any..
Ok, so on to my question, im 14/f and i have no idea what to wear.. I dont know if people are even going to be wearing costumes.. but lets say they are... what to wear?? I want it to be something that people will think wow thats awesome, but not to BOLD, and something sexy but not to sexy, or it doesnt have to be sexy at all, but nothing childish..
and if they dont wear costumes, what should i wear? Just normal clothes, or should i brush it up a bit, how much??

Well i don't know how your friends are...but since you are in highschool my guess would be that most people are prob going to wear kind of slutty outtfits...you know how like in costoume stores they have the adult costumes that are like french maids, and cinderellas with short skirts....i would wear something like that....and if people arent dressing up...then just wear a tiara and a boa or something simple like that. If you are really scared, then go costume shopping with one of your friends...so that way at least you know one person will be dreessed similarly to you (like you could both get "slutty" costumes...even though they arent necessarily slutty...i just dont know how else to describe them.

if you go to tv-links.co.uk and then click on shows, it has a whole list of shows, and gossip girls is one of them, and it has the two episodes that have already aired (and they update it everyweek so that they add each new episode!)

Ok...so i accidentally scratched my car (it's like on the bottom) like i scraped against a curb...and its like a white scratch...is that like the paint is gone...or is there a way to fix it (i'm 16...so having a scratch on my car isnt really going to go over well with my parents) and plus i can't just have it fixed...b/c i dont want my parents to know about it... WHen i was backing up....i hit a car, and i was just wondering if cars ALWAYS dent...like when i hit it my car was fine, but the other car like shook (i wasnt going fast when i hit it)...
Is it possible that i didnt dent it? When i looked at the car like an hour later (the other car, there was a dent...but it looks likes its in the wrong place. But now i'm reallllly worried that it was me and i'm going to get caught...what do i do?????? (link)

the E stands for Euro...which is the form of money that they use in Europe. And i dont know the exact conversion, but 16 euros is probably about 25 dollars (give or take)

I think that if you name it something that ends with a "y" or the "y" sound...it would be both cute and tough...like choose a tough name, but add a y to the end.

Well...if the lumps are right under your nipple, then (i believe) its just normal breast development...because when i was like 12ish that happened to me, and i told my mom, who called my doctor. BUT i would reccomend that you tell your mom, or to have it checked...because its better safe than sorry. But i'm almost certain that you're fine :)

This is a repeated conflict between my husband and I. I was raised that whoever has the most means should pay; he was raised that the parent always pays, no matter what. We have two small children and a very busy lifestyle. My dad is retired (divorced and alone) and comes over for dinner often. Sometimes I cook, sometimes we get takeout, occasionally we go to Friendly's. My dad never chips in a dime or picks up after himself or offers to bring anything. This infuraties my husband to no end; he calls my dad a cheapskate and says he hates him. My mother and stepfather and my mother-in-law NEVER LET US PAY FOR ANYTHING. My Dad has no idea the conflict he causes in my marriage; we've been married for 8 years and have fought about this at least fifty times. WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK? (link)

Perhaps your father doesnt have that much money, if he is retired then he most likly doesnt have a large income, and maybe he is embarresed that he can't afford it. He is old, and you (and your husband) should try and help him, because he is probably VERY lonely and bored.

My bofriend and I have been friends for about 7 months and dated for 2 of those months. We're pretty close but I'm wondering how far it is ok to go in our relationship physically. So far we haven't even kissed, but on IM we tell each other sexual things about how/where we want to touch each other. Nothing too bad and it's not anywhere close to having online sex, but it's still awkward. I don't want to rush into things because we both wanna be virgins til marriage. Well I'm Christian and i believe that the view of this is that you can't have sex until marrige, and that includes oral sex (blow jobs, hand jobs, fingering, eating out etc.). So i don't really know how far you can go, you can obviously kiss, and makeout, and i THINK that he can like feel you up under your shirt (i'm not really sure about that though).

So my best guy friend (not bf) sort of hooked me up with this other guy (who's 13 and a rising 7th grader, but i'm a rising freshman) and we talk online sometimes and I think I would like to date him, because he thinks I'm pretty and everything and he likes me. (even though we haven't met in person)
oh but i do know that he's real because he goes to my best guy friend's school and they're good friends you know so this isn't just a random online hookup. so please don't say anything like "oh it's unsafe to do that".
Oh, but my best friend said that the guy said that I had to ask him out, not the other way around because he's shy i guess... should i do it?

Well first of all the whole Mexican vs. White thing doesnt matter (to me at least, you might have different views on that). However, in my oppinion this doesnt seem like a good match. The age difference is too big, even though its only two years, at your age thats pretty significant. Also you are going to be in highschool, while he is in middle school, and i think that you guys will be on different tracks.
Also, the fact that you havent met him seems odd too (not in a sketchy way, just that you should probably have a face to face conversation with him).
And lastly the fact that YOU have to ask HIM out seems bazar. Like he lacks confidence or something.
And the last senario that i can think of (and pleaseeee don't be offended) is that it's a bet, or he is using you (to be going out with someone in "highschool" while he is still in "middle school". Its just a senario, but it could be possible, because not many guys would go out with a girl w/o metting her first.

My boyfriend's sister's graduation party is this Sunday. He and I have been together for about a year and a half so I know his sister pretty well. Its not like we're best friends or anything but we'll say hi at school and joke around when we're together and stuff. So she wants me to come. Im trying to think if I should just get her a card or should I get her a present? Even people's friends get eachother cards so i dont know if there's a need to get her a present. I would deffinatly get her a present. It doesnt have to be anything expenseive or anything, maybe just a pair of earings, or a bracelet, or a necklace, or something little like that. Another cute idea could be like a funny book- you know like those books that are like "101 ways to [fill in the blank]"....some kind of book like that.
