Contrary to your belief, the show is over/cancelled and has been for a few months.
It still airs on the CW11, but they aren't new episodes and shouldn't be advertised as new episodes.

Basically the newest season is centered around Martin and Sandy and their baby, The reverend getting over his heart problem, T-Bone and Ruthie's relationship and problems, and Lucy and Kevin trying to decide whether or not to leave Glen Oak. If you haven't seen seasons 8, 9, and 10, it might be very confusing because there are a lot of central characters/story lines.
Your best bet to clarifying what's going on is to look at episode summaries of previous seasons to get caught up on the newer things that happened. You could also try to find a 7th Heaven forum and post your questions there where someone mught be more apt to answer it.
