Do you think its okay to teach your child to hit someone back if they hit him first? (link)
I think it's important not just to teach your children about self-defense, but that there are other avenues to consider when being threatened.

Sometimes being the bigger person means NOT reciprocating violence. In other situations, it could be considered appropriate.

The problem with telling your children it is acceptable to hit others is that it's difficult to draw a clear picture of the appropriate situation. As others have stated, the last thing you want is for your child to become the one who hits first.

My sister is pregnant and she can not keep anything down. This is her first time being pregnant!!! Do you know what she can eat, that wont make her throw up!! (link)
I have been told that the trick to morning-sickness is to keep your stomach from becoming neither full or completely empty. This means eating small amounts of food throughout the day.

Cutting out spicy, greasy, or unpleasant smelling food would probably help as well.

Good Luck!

How Many Guys Does A Girl Have To Have Sex Wih To Be A Slut??

ThnxLove

(link)
I think you're going to find as many answers to this as the people you ask. Everyone has a different idea of what sexual promiscuity entails.

In my mind, being a 'slut' is a mentality created by our society. A lot of people are stuck with the idea that a sexual woman cannot be good, or intelligent, or moral because she enjoys sex with multiple partners.

The important issue is that you are not allowing anyone to demoralize you or make you feel lesser because you are having sex. As long as you are protecting yourself, not hurting others, and feel good about your actions than no one can put a label on you.

Protect yourself and don't be ashamed to say you enjoy sex; it is a natural and biological desire that helps make the world go 'round.

Good Luck!

I dont know if this guy thats 1 year older then me likes me or not. I dont know if i should go up to him or not. he goes to my school and he always looks at me and stuff and i used to talk to him online and stuff and now i dont know what i should do. should i go up to him at school and start a conversation?? hes not coming up to me and saying anything so is it my job to make the first move??? ill rate 5's for good answers!! (link)
From the way you make it it sounds like HE already made the first move and is waiting for some reciprocation. He shows physical interest by looking at you; obviously he's intersted in conversation. I'd say signs look positive to ask this guy out, or at least give him a sign that he should ask YOU out.

Good Luck!

I was good friends with a guy named Stan. We kept in touch with letters since we lived far apart. He told me all about Megan, his girlfriend, and she sounded so awesome. Then I met her and she WAS awesome. She and Stan got married later and I was kind of jealous. Well, now Stan is dead (killed in a car accident) and Megan has moved really close to me. We've been around each other a lot lately and I really like her. I want to ask her out, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. What should I do? (link)
Greetings...

I think there are a few key factors to consider in this picture:

1.) Is dating Megan at ANY point disrespectful to the memory of Stan and the friendship you two had?
2.)Do you think Megan is ready to move on to a new relationship; has she properly mourned Stan?
3.) If the answers to 1 and 2 are kosher, do you think she has ever shown a personal interest in YOU?

This is a hard one to tell, but I do know is that it is most likely VERY easy to alienate her so I would tread lightly. I would start with friendship, first. Ask her to do something neutral (such as go to a museum or do an activity) that isn't so romance-related (dinner and a movie is pretty obvious). Offer her an outlet to talk about her loss. If she has found closure and she is interested in you, I'm sure the signs will be obvious if she's as smart and savvy as you make her out to be. In this situation it might not be what you say and do, but what you do NOT say and do.

Good Luck!

How much do Chanel Sunglasses normally cost? Where should I buy them? THanks! (link)
I'm an optician and I run an optometrists office so I thought I might offer some decent advice:

Chanel sunglasses are going to run you upwards of $200 plus. I would recommend finding a private optical that carries or can order in Chanel for you. The advantage to this is that you have someone who will give you future adjustments, replace screws, and honor warranties on your behalf. This is a huge benefit that buying them somewhere random like E-bay will not be able to provide for you. Quite frankly, Chanel sunglasses are only of mediocre quality. You're realy paying for the name brand, so anticipate needing some service on them in the future.

Shop around on the internet among reputable retailers, and ask your private office if they are willing to price-match. Many opticals are willing to provide this service, in order to compete with other businesses, especially the internet. This can save you big and you will get the best of both worlds. Good Luck!

My boyfriend and I were having sex, same as normal. We put the condom on correctly, but it still broke in the middle of us having sex. He hadn't cum yet so we just stopped there and finished in ways other then sex. My boyfriend said he didn't pre-cum, but I'm not sure that he knows exactly what that means, and I'm pretty sure you can't control that kind of thing. Is there a good chance that I could still get pregnant or anything I could do?

I need a real answer, so please, no 13 year olds that are just guessing. (link)
Hello there... first, I'd like to applaud your condom use.

Your boyfriend cannot know for sure whether or not he "pre-cummed" or not. Pre-cum is a small amount of semen that seeps out of the penis prior to ejaculation. Although the chances are small, there is still a small risk you could get pregnant from this contact.

I would contact your doctor or a planned parenthood clinic in your area about emergency contraceptive. You have a window of 72 hours to take these birth-control type pills that significantly increase the likelihood that you will not get pregnant. Also, you should consider whether or not STI's are a possibility as well.

I would probably invest in a water-based lubricant to help avoid future condom breakage. Good luck and please don't be afraid or embarrased to go seek help. Medical professionals see this situation on a daily basis and would prefer you take action to protect against an unwanted pregnancy before conception has actually occurred.

I'm Eurasian (half Spanish/Portuguese half Chinese) and i LOOOOVE black eyeliner!!! I'm not sure whether I should line both lids or just the top. I like lining because I think it looks better than just the top but my mom thinks I look unfriendly, evil, sallow, like a raccoon (even though I smudge it with a Q-tip and I put it on lightly!) and like I come from a bad family. I'm 14, I have almond-shaped eyes (but I like have the folds over my eyelids), and brown hair. Help!!!! Sorry if this sounds self-centered, but all my friends are away, and I have nobody else to ask!!! sorry that it was so long! :) (link)
Hello, there. I thought I'd throw in my two cents as I'm eurasian also. My mother is Filipino and my father is American of German descent. I don't have much of a 'crease' to my eyelid and have found that the 'caucasian' rules to eye makeup don't really work for me, or end up looking heavy because my eyelid is flat. My eyes are also small and set a little far apart, with an almond shape.

If I line my eye all the way around, they end up looking smaller and inevitably smudge on the lower lid. I have found that a light line on the upper lid for a day look works best. For evening, I apply a heavier line to the top, and a very thin line only under my iris (colored) part of my eye which opens it up.

I also think eyeshadow is key: most girls now put a light color on the lid, medium color along the crease, and the darkest color at the corner. I prefer an application a medium shade all over the lid. I then highlight the inner corner with the lightest color, and apply a little bit of the darkest color at the outside corner.

Another important technique is using an eyelash curler. Most asian lashes tend to be short and straight. A curler will open up your eyes and make ANY mascara look better. They also offer heated versions now that help if you have thicker hair.

Try looking in different magazines at celebrities with a similar eyeshape as your own. Lucy Liu always has exquisite makeup in my opinion. Good luck :)

Hey I got a question. Well first off I started photography about a year ago, and while I was in school I used to use a manual camera with film I rolled and what not. But now that school is out I dont have a dark room to use, so I have been using my digital camera and going to walmart to do my prints.

I wanted to join a gallery in a nearby town, and they had an opening in the nudist section. Now my question is, is there anyway I can print nude pictures somewhere where it wont be a problem? online or can I do it at walmart if they dont have a problem?

thanks (link)
A lot of private photographers are willing to develop your photos for you. Another advantage to this would be an ease of ordering blow ups and different size prints. I don't know how comfortable I would be trying to go to wal-mart and asking the fifteen year old kid in the photo dept. to make a blown up glossy of me in my birthday suit. A private photographer will respect your privacy and help ensure your artistic freedom.

I've been with my boyfriend since I was 14, and he was 17. I'm 17 now, and he's 20. We always talk about getting married when I'm like 19-20, and I know it's what we both want, but I feel like my family would say I'm too young and that they'd be disappointed in me. But it's really what both of us want, we really love eachother. We know his family is cool with it, but why do I feel like mine wont be? (link)
Perhaps you should look at it from a different perspective:

Why exactly do you think your family would not encourage you to get married at this time? Do they think your boyfriend is a good prospect for your lifelong partner? Or perhaps you should consider that it's no necessarily the specific AGE they are focused on. Maybe they would prefer you achieve certain goals and experience more as a young adult before making this serious, lifetime commitment. You and your boyfriend still have a lot of growing and maturing to do.

Ultimately, you will be an adult of legal age at this time, and the choice is yours and yours alone to live with. But it has been my experience when all of my family and friends have the same advice for me, in the end they usually have my best interest in mind.

I hope you two cents might shed a light you might not have considered. Feel free to drop me a line if you'd like to chat.

Kindest Regards,
Anne Nonimous
