Do a search on Google and you'll turn up a few things for 'uterus transplant.' It's a very rare procedure and has been done in the world only a few times. Your mother's uterus might not be ideal because of her age. The truth is that a uterus transplant is an extreme measure. It's something that a few hospitals have done once or twice. I see only one case where a transplanted uterus has held a pregnancy to term. It's a difficult and painful surgery and one you are not likely to be able to have done for her because of finances, few places and doctors who do it, and the difficulty with finding a match for your sister. Whatever you do is going to be hard, but I think it's probably going to come down to her trying to accept her infertility as part of her life rather than trying to change it. Whatever you decide she will likely need to come to the West (Europe or the Americas). My heart goes out to her and I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry, but there's no way for a woman who has no uterus or a deformed uterus (of some types) to carry a pregnancy to term. Here in America (and in many other countries like Canada), there are many men who would marry a woman who is infertile. It's not an automatic no. There are some men who would never want to have children, there are some who would consider having a different woman bear their children (surrogacy), and there are some who would adopt children. In addition, there are a lot of men who are already divorced and have children and don't want more. I wish I could provide you with some solace about how she will find love in India, but I don't know how big a deal infertility is there. If she can come to America, she will likely find that her choices are less limited. Best wishes to you.

is this the same thing as douching? i wash the outside of my vagina with body wash and then ill put some on 2 of my fingers and ill slide them in and out of my vagina to clean it. then i take out my fingers, rinse them off and then keep putting my fingers back inside of my vagina until i dont see anymore soap coming out on my fingers. it it ok to clean your vagina like that? The second answer is more correct. Your vagina has a way of washing itself - that's what the discharge is. Any soap up there will disrupt the normal pH of your vagina and will allow the wrong sort of bacteria to grow. You have a delicate balance with normal bacteria that are there to help keep things like yeast in check. If you MUST do something, I would say just to use a shower head with a stream to squirt water up there, but doing absolutely nothing is even better. Clean the outside of your labia with a mild soap and water, making sure not to get anything near the urinary meatus, which could cause irritation and lead to a bladder infection. You should be sure to wipe from front to back, never putting anything near your vagina once it has been near your anus.
Your current routine is not only unnecessary, but it is dangerous. Please reconsider.

I agree with the previous adviser with just a little exception. Your snacks may be all you can manage due to your schedule, but they are heavy on carbs, fats, preservatives, and, mostly, salt. This is not a terrible diet, but not a great one either. To make it better, add in fresh fruits and veggies. If you can take crackers, you can take an apple! You can take canned V-8 (not the fruit blends) or other 100% juice and they have great shelf life. Above all, with the snacks you mentioned, use portion control.

I'm 15/f and my cat is a non-pedigree black and white male ....and he's 7 years old (is that considered a senior?) I should also probably mention that he's been castrated since like 4 months old.
My cat is SUPERR lazy....VERY inactive.....and he just sleeps around the house...in any place he can find to sleep on. He crawls ANYWHERE just to sleep. And he only wakes up when he wants to go to the bathroom. I know that cats are supposed to sleep so much...but he sleeps in the day AND night! He's quite fat also. I'm beginning to worry..because he has breathing problems. And I never want to overfeed him....what should I do? How can I make him more active so he'll live longer and be healthier? Because now, he's just growing fatter and fatter :( (link)

My mom has been sick with a mild cold for about 4-5 days to a week. She's 45. Then all of the sudden last night she almost started vomitting. But she was having diarrhea. She had stomach pains earlier this evening, and had a terrible head ache. I gave her a bag of cold string beans in replace of an ice pack. Is she okay? What's up? I'm scared and worried! I value her health! So much! She had a tempurature of 101 degrees earlier...
Now it's 100.6 degrees. But it took hours too get down. I pray that she's ok. Is something seriously wrong? (link)

The part that makes me nervous is that she's "half asleep." Along with the diarrhea and nausea, it could indicate that she's dehydrated and needs medical attention. Nothing else you said was particularly worrisome. If you cannot get her to go to the doctor, please call a friend or family member who's an adult to see if they can talk her into going to the hospital, tell you what to watch for, or reassure you that she's fine.
I hope everything turns out okay. I've made it through 106 degree fevers and things that are much worse than you're describing. Offer your mom fluids and Tylenol for the fever according to package instructions.

I recently went on Zoloft to treat my OCD. I opted for the generic brand when the Pharmacist asked me because it was cheaper and I'm paying for it myself. I took half a pill today as directed. But now I read on the prescription that it says "No brand substitutes allowed" Could something potentially happen to me because it's a generic brand? Or is it ok? I'm a bit paranoid now after reading that..

If you filled the prescription, how do you still have it to know that the 'no substitutions' box was checked? Must have been a duplicate? What you can do is call the pharmacy or go back. Take a copy of your prescription and your bottle of pills. Likely, they will give you credit for the brand name in the amount you paid for the generic. However, the medicine in them is the same, by federal law. Some people tolerate different formulations better, but for the most part, generic is every bit as good as the brand name. If you are worried or not sure you really need the brand name, call your doctor's office and make sure that s/he meant to check the brand name box.

Yes. Stress, poor nutrition, hormone fluctuations, and poor sleep can cause you to skip periods, especially right after menarche (onset of menstruation) and in people with low body fat levels.

I found a white bump on the outside of my labia, it looked like a pimple.. maybe I shouldn't have, but I squeezed it gently, and a whole bunch of pus came out (it was not liquid, but more dried like a mature pimple). Now, there's not bump at all, but a little red dot where it once was. There was no pain at all...and I just happened to notice it when I came out of the shower. It can't be an STD, since I've had sex only once (a couple years ago), and had been tested for everything already. I have a feeling this may have been a cyst or pimple, but don't know.

Yes, it was most likely a pimple. Other things it could have been are an ingrown hair with an infection or possibly a clogged gland (we have some glands down there). But it was likely a pimple. See how it feels tomorrow.

I would call Petsmart (or another store like it). Probably what you need to do is feed her some veggies so her poop is not so solid and possibly hard or painful to get out, but a Petsmart small animal person can tell you for sure.

Well, I think they're gross, but if you're thinking of selling your dinner to someone else instead, they are usually called Rocky Mountain Oysters or Prairie Oysters. They are sold in restaurants. This may not be the right category, but couldn't think of a better one. Anyway, I'm 18. I've made an appointment to see a doctor without my parents knowledge. Is there any way they'd be able to find out? It's a really private matter which is why I can't have them finding out. Would it make a difference if I used our family's health care card?

If you are going to a doctor you have seen before you were 18, I suggest that you call and ask to speak with the office manager. Let him/her know that your privacy in this matter is very important and you'd like to make double sure your records are changed so that you are on your own financial account. If it's possible that your mother may go to the office for an appointment in the future and if the office might recognize her and know you are family, make sure the staff knows that you prefer/expect that this be kept private. You don't want them casually mentioning, 'Oh, I saw Jenny the oher day. She's getting so tall!' and have your mom know that you were in.
If you want this to be private, do not use your insurance/health card. At least in the US, if you do so, you are likely to be found out. The claim against your parents' insurance will generate an explanation of benefits, which will be either mailed to your parents or electronically available. To ensure your privacy, pay cash and ask the manager to be sure that no claim is generated on your behalf.

Guys have mood swings for the same reason girls do - changing hormones, lack of sleep, stress, poor diet, etc. What you can do about them is to give the individual space when he needs it, but be there when he needs a friend. Be sensitive to body language and facial expressions and when you see irritation building, leave, change the topic of conversation, or suggest a new activity. Most of all, do not take it personally. Your life can't be centered around whether you're his best friend or biggest pest at that moment. Be yourself, to the extent that you are sensitive to others and kind, and don't expect others to be perfect. :)

Okay, I'm 16, female. Today, me and my boyfriend had sex for the first time. I've had sex once before but it was almost a year ago. After we had sex, I was bleeding a little bit. when I got home later, there was a very little bit of blood in my underwear. but when i checked myself, it was a little red, but there was no signs bleeding.

Sometimes you can have an incomplete transection of the hymen. It's possible that he completed something you'd already started. It's normal to be a little sore after sex, especially if your hymen was broken. If it happens again or if you have disturbances in your period or changes in your vaginal discharge, you need to see a gynecologist.

contacted my bank today now its up to 489.00 fees tacked on.so i called to make arrangements to pay told to pay within 30 days or they would close account,there is no way in which i can do this.so what will happen when they close account they just did not have any compassion at all about this matter i asked if i could make payments (link)

Okay, my advice is this: rather than just calling on the phone, go into the bank and ask to speak with a manager. Explain what happened and what the problem is and why you cannot pay this money back within 30 days. Just ask whether there is something that he can do to help you. If you get a no, then take whatever money you have to open an accoun at another bank, if possible. What will happen at 30 days is that they will likely close your account, send you to a collection agency, and put the delinquincy on your credit report. That will make it much harder for you to open an account in the future. The bad news is that you still owe them the money. The good news is that they can't eat you for lunch. They will just have to take what you can give them. It happens to people often.

Assuming you're in USA, what you need to do is get your bank balance back above zero, find out whether all of those charges were paid or whether any were from checks sent back or electronic funds transfers that were sent back, and pay any returned items before the merchants come after you.
Then you explain what happened to the bank's customer service department. Sometimes there are exceptional circumstances under which they will waive some of the fees. If not, you eat it. If you can't pay the $300 right now, you'll need to make arrangements with the bank to pay it off soon. Either way, you might consider asking the manager to set your account so that any transaction which would put you in the red will be refused automatically. That way you can't overdraft unless you write checks or have EFTs.
It sucks. Sorry to hear it.

I'm a 13 year old female,I'm 5 foor 7 inches and I weigh 122 pounds and I'm not fat (pretty muscley and tiny bits of flab in small amounts) I eat A LOT of food in a meal and snack when I feel a lil hungry (a chocolate here,a banana there) I take vitamin C,D Omaga 3 6 and 9 essentials and a multiy vitamin for wemen.I am pretty healthy.
Breakfast : careal or a blueberry beagl if any breakfast.
10 A.M. break : dunk-a-roos,yogurt,animal crackers
Lunch : Ham or chicken w/ cheese and mayo sandwitch,juice box/water bottle
Supper : A meat (beef chicken pork),with rice,potatos,fries or something and pop or juice or water.usually big double portions

OMG. You didn't mention one vegetable. Is that an oversight? If not, then, no this is not a healthy diet. You need 5-7 veggies and fruits a day, preferrably fresh ones.

What are some signs that your boyfriend is infertile?
We've been sexually active for nearly 12 months and sex is always fine. He never complains if he is sore unless of course we've had it more then twice a day.
He cums fine, doesn't seem to have a problem but how can you really tell? Just because he is able to produce sperm doesn't necessarily mean he isn't infertile right?
Same with women, are there any signs that should be looked out for? Not being able to have a baby would just crush my world!

YG is right. Now, how are your periods? Are they normal and pretty regular and evenly-spaced? Are you under stress? Stress can make conception much harder. Have you tried an ovulation prediction kit from the grocery/drug store? Have you tried the rhythm method? Its purpose is to predict fertile times and can be used for birth control or to improve the odds of conception. you can avoid sex for a few days before your most fertile period in order to increase your chances of plenty of good, virile sperm. You should be sure that neither of you has an STD or scarring from an STD. If none of this works, you will likely need a doctor's assessment. Best wishes to you both.
