Q: okay i have a major problem

my school has the biggest clique system EVER....like you wouldn't believe how many cliques there are. Its such a big deal....and its really get on my nerves to the point where I can't concentrate on my school work and my grades are slipping. This is because I'm at the bottom of the pit I only have a few friends (1 or 2) but still I wish I had more and theres a certain group that I would like to make friends with and they seem nice but I'm soo shy and people say I'm one of the shyest girls in the grade and that I hardly speak. I know I should speak more but its hard for me and I think I have social anxiety. Please help as high school is starting next year and I don't know whether to switch schools or change my image at the school I am going to (the school I am at has the grades pre-k till 12th). Also my school is one of the best schools in the nation and that is another reason why I am having a tough time deciding whether to leave it simply because of the cliques. I heard someone call me a reject and a loser at school....and to be honest I am a reject, but I know I'm not a loser. Please help, thank you sooo much!!

All schools have a clique problem. You should look into getting an anti depressant for social anxiety. Don't worry it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you but I also wouldn't go around telling people you take it. As for that one group who seems nice, you HAVE to assert yourself. You don't just go to school one day and get recruited. What's the worst that could happen? You've already been called mean names, you have nothing to lose. And if they seem nice, they probably are. Trust me, it's not that hard and you'll gain respect from it.

No. Oxygen kills it immediatly. If she's really spooked tell her to take a pregnancy test. I'm more than positive she's fine.. you can't get pregnant unless you have SEX.

Lifestyles and trojan. Just don't but some off brand crappy kind because they will break and their probability of effectivness is lower. You could also go to planned parenthood, its cheaper than a gyno and private so you don't have to tell your mom, and buy birth control. That way you're being extra safe because who wants a baby at 16? I didn't.

It's obvious you don't think it's the right time and that's your own way of telling yourself NO. It's only been a week.. most people who are really in love care more about spending time with their boyfriend/girlfriend than having sex. And when they do get to that point, it's for the right reasons; to be as close to another human being as possible is so beautiful. Don't waste that on a guy who would actually ask if you wanted sex.. trust your instincts when they tell you "i don't know." They don't lie.

Sounds like a yeast infection or some sort of bacterial infection. Go to the gyno or planned parenthood (cause they're cheaper and private) and see what it is. It doesn't sound like anything to worry about. HOpe i helped!

Q: I went to my gyno a week or two ago becuase i have had irregular periods for about 5 years so she decided the best thing to regulate my periods and help with my acne, was to put me on the pill..so today i started my period which means tomorrow (since its sunday) will be my first day to take the pill..anyway my question is...i have heard from many people that the pill since it deals with your hormones and such it causes you to gain weight..i am very self contious and a little heavier than i would like to be as it is now..so will it cause me to gain inevitable weight??????? please does anyone know????

i take ortho tri cyclen lo and ive never had any weight gain because its has a lower amount of hormones in it. It does make your boobs bigger which i can't complain about and really benefits your period. Try it for a while and see. hope i helped

Q: My former best friend and I have been growing apart over the last two years. Now to her I'm just someone she says hi to in the hall. It's been hard to stay in touch over the years because she is so busy and we haven't been in any of the same classes. We still consider oursleves "friends", but I wish things could go back to the way they used to be. Whenever I call her to do something with me, she always has other plans. Ever since we started fading away from being best friends I've really missed her. We had been best friends for over 4 years and we had this dream of becoming famous actresses together, and it really saddens me how apart we've grown now. I'm afraid that in a couple of years or so, we might not be friends at all. I feel like there is nothing I can do to just have us be best friends or even just good friends again, but I need to figure out something. This seems impossible since shes always so busy with her activities and her group of best friends. Can anyone help me on what to do? I rate high!

Tell her everything you just typed.. Easier said then done, I know. I actually just had the worst, tear jerking, painful fight with my ex best friend last night as to why we grew apart. I moved away this fall but I'm coming back for college, and after 2 hours of yelling and crying, we're back to the way it was and we're going to college together next fall. I seriously never thought we would ever be anything again.. trust me it really helps to talk it out and say mean things.. it gets things off your chest and you can start with an honest friendship like it was in the beginning. Q: Hi, I'm a 17 year old fmale and I'm trying to lose weight. I'm not overweight officially, I'm a size 12 (UK), but I do look really chunky next to my friends who are all like size 8/10. I've been dieting really hard for a fortnight and I walk 2 miles once and sometimes twice a day and do sit-ups every day but it's not working at all! I don't feel any better, no-one has commented and my clothes all fit the same. If it's really not having any effect then should I stick at it or try something more drastic? It's just I'm hungry all the time as it is and I'm always going faint or dizzy between meals so I'm not sure I'm eating enough anyway. Help me!! xxx

You're doing awesome exercise. Stick it out and eat really healthy. It doesn't seem like you're losing anything but soon you will notice a big difference, I promise.

The only thing you can do is tell your mom sweetie. Even though it's a scary thought, she will know what to do. You'll need to make a doctors appt to the gyno. If you're under 6 weeks, there's a chance the baby wont even develop a heart beat and you'll miscarraige (since you're so young). Also your mom might consider an abortion. But you NEED to tell her either way. If you're not ready you need to find a Plan(ned?) Parenthood close to you, take some money and get a sonogram. If you can find a free clinic that would be even better because they'll give you a sonogram for no charge.

Q: so if a girl has sex towards the end of her period she has a greater chance of NOT getting pregnant?

It's less of a chance. But keep in mind you're still ovulating and this is the period of time when mothers are trying to get pregnant. But you are MOST fertile before and during the beginning of your period. Just always use a condom or B.C and you'll be fine!

Q: I can't make up my mind as to what style I want to wear everyday..one day I will want to be all nice and dressed up...you know, stiletto shoes, a cute sweater, nice pants from Express..the next I'll want a grungey, hippiesh Urban Outfitters look...the next I'll want cute and preppy and so on...
How can I set my style, and if i don't want to set my style, how can I incorporate things from my wardrobe so that I'm not spending a fortune on tons of looks.

I do the EXACT same thing. What I do is mix the two together. Fashion and style isn't about being safe, mix it together! Create your own look, it's been workin for me because now I have the best of both worlds. As for money, you can't really dodge that problem but by mixing the outfits together, you can get more from less and make new inventions everyday which can keep you from exessive shopping due to fear of outfit repeating. Q: I just bought an incense stick holder and a bunch of incense sticks, but I don't know how to burn them right. It cost 11.00 all together for the holder and the 14 sticks, and I am only 13 so that's a lot of wasted money for me. Does anyone know how to burn them, because when I did, it just smelled like smoke/charcoal instead of lavendar like it was supposed to be. I know you have to smolder them, not burn them, and I did. My mom is being really negative about it and its really annoying, so can someone please tell me how to do it?

P.S. Otherwise I just wasted a little over 2 weeks allowance, and I have to buy other stuff, too!

The only thing I can guess is that you might be burning the wrong end? You should light it quickley so that it's cherried at the end so it can smoke. That's all I can say without seeing the problem. Hope I helped at all.

I don't know. I know lots of guys who like use virgins because they're "tight" and clean (disease free). Some guys are jerks like that. But if you're looking a boyfriend, they usually prefer virgins. Sluts are only good for one thing and are NEVER respected.. they might seem to get a lot of attention but guys look down on them A TON

You're definitly not pregnant. Some girls have their periods that often and some only have them 6 times a year. It's the luck of the draw. Be very careful when you're having sex though because you're very fertile ALL the time since you menstrate so often. Go to the gyno and get birth control pills to even it out a bit. Be safe!

Q: Ok, well my friends turned on me at the beginging of this year (7th grade)I have been hanging out with other peeps thati really like. Then all of a sudden this girl marissa imed me on aim and said that since i left they are now the most popular girls in school and i have no style! i to have style. maybe i have to have the RIGHT style. To have style, you do what looks good to YOU. Right now it might not seem cool but once you get in highschool, you're only cool if you dress like an individual. Individualism= true style. Just look at fashion shows- people who follow other people around don't really wear weird stuff like that but it's the most expensive thing out there and it's IN. Go out and by the magazine Glamour, it always has great tips. And even if you don't take my advice now, remember what I said about highschool. And those girls will probably be nothing by that time anyway, trust me. I'm a senior and I've seen it happen so many times.

I think that today all the age standards have changed. I think you're old enough to wear a thong, but only because all girls at your age are starting to, and I know how important it is to fit in (or change with your friends.) Your parents, especially your mom, probably won't approve so I suggest not telling her.. Maybe start doing your own laundrey (that's what i did when i started wearing them at your age). I think you're old enough to have a boyfriend but not a serious one. Like one you can call to talk to, or cuddle with and hold hands- try not to move too fast though, its a mistake in the long run TRUST ME!
