I'm 13/f and have the most "gorgeous" bedroom. or so my mother says. it's all matchy matchy and looks like it could be in one of those design magazines, because my mom is an interior designer. but i don't like it, its too stuffy! What are some easy ways to update my room? i want it to be like a teen chill out place. and where can i get these things? thanx! xoxo alicia

i would suggest posters, u can get them at places like walmart, or online, there are also magazines that carrey like celebrety posters such as bop, and tiger beat. If you dont want to put tacks or nails in the wall there is some really good like tacky, gummy stuff that u can use, i would suggest going to a place like homedepo (SP?) or like lowes and ask the people in the paint department. if you love music you could find a way to display your cd's giving your room more of a "teen" feeling you can get those almost anywhere like walmart, target, staples w/e good luck!

I eat constantly. Whenever I'm bored/tired/thinking about food, I eat. I'm not fat. I'm not skinny either I'm about 5'7 or 5'8 150 pounds. I believe that I'm gaining. I try so hard not to eat, but I end up eating in the end. I think I would be fat if it wasn't for me playing sports. I'm always worried that I'll end up being fat and slow and can't play sports but i'm always ending up eating.. how can i prevent this? Thanks in advance

ok, i know how you feel, I am the same way. But let me tell you if you do as many sports as you lead me to believe, that weight is probably muscle. But what i figured out was my problem was that i just wanted to be chewing, or having some sort of flavor, so shew gum, sugarfree preferably. If you just really want some actual food eat something healthy like bananas or celery(takes more calories to digest it that it has in it) and drink lots of water, it washes out the salty water in your body, which gets rid of lots of unneeded substances

OK heres the deal.
I tore my acl playing soccer. so now i'm on crutches and i cant really put any pressure on my knee. But my question is how can i work out? Cuz i have a lot of down time, and i went from playing tennis and soccer to now nothing. so i dont know what to do. any ideas that doesnt have much to do with my knee?

I was on crutches and I felt like a couch patato, so i know how youo feel. What you can do is any arm exersize, such as bench presses, lifting weights etc, as it gets better and you can put some pressure on it (i know it wil take a while) you could use a stationary bike, that will get your entire body moving, bu it will also work your kneee out pretty well, just dont start until you are told that you can at least start walking on it, if not later, u want to be careful coming back from an injusry like that, but i would definately say a stationary (or maybe even a regular, i used a stationary) bike would be good, but just make sure that it is ok with the doctor first, that that amount of pressure gets put on it

I have to say that that is really good, but really the only advice i can give u is that its from the heart, if you are just writing stuff that has no relation to you then it wont be as good as if you were to use something that you have strong fealings for. I am a songwriter myself and I know from experience that that is the best way to go. I really do like it, and i think that it is probably better to use your own feelings, because others cant feel your emotions for you, you have to make them feel it

I have the most stupid problem, when you select a file in a folder you are sapose to be able to move it around the screen and live it where ever you want, I can't do that.
Even on my desktop I CAN'T MOVE MY FILES

on ure destop (to take care of moving those files) right click your mouse on the background space, not where a file is, and then u should see a menue and go to arrange icons by and you can change the settings, most likely it is selected on autoarange, so you would want to click it again to unchoose it

okay i'm 14 and i really want to tone up my body.. i have muscle working tapes and i do crunches, sit ups, crunch machines, squats, kicks, etc... i have a good work out plan

i'm not fat and i don't really wanna loose weight.. i just want to make my stomach flatter and hard and tone up my legs so theyre not as flabby.. kinda like jessica simpson.. she's got nice toned legs and stomach but shes not like overly thin like nicole richie..

now since i'm 14.. it's so hard to diet cause i'm growing and i havta see all my friends eat and i cant.. is there any way i can eat whatever i want and still get the body i want by just working out and not doing the diet part of it?

please give real answers.. this is really important to me

There is a way you can eat whatever you want! Its called maderation. What you do is eat whatever you want but have healthy foods also. Have that snickers bar, but have maybe one or 2 a week, or better off, on a week, and only eat half. If you think you will have to eat all salads your wrong, you need protein and other nutrience, if you are a vegetarian then eat nuts and wahtnot(ime not familiar with vegetarian foods). Feel free to have a burger or steak and patatos for dinner, but you just have to moderate everything. If you have a donut one morning, then the next have a bagel, or some fruit. Be sure to get all the nutrience you need. I would personally recomend eating what you normaly would, but maybe cutting out the soda, or every night deserts (ikf you normally do that) good luck!

I don't know what to do. my boyfriend is deeply in love with me, obsesses over me, gets jealous really easy, annoys me, talks about beating up guys that I talk to, and cries when we get in the littlest fights. I'm going through so much right now and i just want to break it off with him because my families going through problems and I don't need his problems and commitment on top of it. wow, u have the almost identical problem my friend did. I would say that you should break it off with him, but first have a conversation with him about what is wrong. Tell him exactly what you feel. It also sounds like he doesnt trust you, and I must say if there is no trust in a relationship, then there is a problem. With the obsessiveness that is not such agreat thing, it is a little too much, i would definately talk to him!

I am 14 yrs. old, 5ft 3in, and 140lbs. I am soooo fat. I used to weigh more and lost a little weight which got me to where I am today but I am still extremly fat!!!! For some reason I can't lose any more weight, why can't I lose any more weight? This is so aggrivating! Please help. Thanks

i want to tell you that i am 5'3.25" and i weigh the same. What you are looking at is probably muscle-muscle weighs more than fat. look at yourself in the mirror and you will see someone who is not fat, someone who is athletic, it sounds like you exersize. If you start off with a negative look at yourself you will never get anywhere, remember to love the curves, someone who is stickly skinny is not always the prettiest, it can look unhealthy. Just simply eat good foods, and exersize that is the best way to become healthier!

my calves are disctuingly huge. i hate them, im doing 100 leg lifts each day but i need to know how to lose weight on my claves. what can i do. please i need major help. ill rate high.

muscle weighs a lot more than fat, so you are definately seeing muscle, i would recomend running, or biking, it works your whole legs, as well as your calves so they will still be in shape, but probably not as big

is there a way that i can delete everything off my computer. i want to be as fast as it used to be when i first got it. can someone tell me a good way and is there a way where i can my written documents on a cd (not a floppy disk because i have one in my computer)? thanks. i will rate

If it is a windows, I might be able to help you. When you get your computer you have many programs installed on it, that you do not really need, so you can go into control pannel(from the start menu), then go to add or remove programs, and then you can remove all the programs you do not use, you can also save old documents onto a memory stick, or cd's. You should be able to save them onto cd's through a cd burning program on your computer, or there is another way: go to explore (by right clicking ure start button) and then you should be able to see the blank cd on the left menu it will say cd drive, and just drag and drop the items into that drive (you might want to hold the shift key down while doing it so it will make a copy of the folder, then delete it after you know that it has worked

Prom is coming up fast... and at first i wasnt even going to go. But my friends convinced me. But now im dateless. There is this one guy i wanna ask. I've liked him for awhile but i have no clue how to ask him. i asked my friend who knows him if he knew if he was going. He said prom wasnt really his thing. But then i asked does he think if i asked him would he go... he said he would. Im soo confused... what should i do??? Ask him to prom??? Or should i leave it alone???

I would definately ask him. It sounds like he doesnt like prom, but he wouldnt mind going if he was with you! I know what you meen though, I like the same kind of guy, and I am always getting mixed signals, good luck, and have fun at your prom!

Well depending on where you live will affect the cost, if you are in the eastern part of the U.S. you might want to try D.C. or philidelphia. Philidelphia is great, there are some great places to eat to, adn gelato:) Also if you live near a beach then you could rent a place near the beach.

Hey, I'm on a softball team, i'm having a problem with my glove, it always gets so slippery when I use it, and I have to adjust my hand a lot, what can I do to my glove to fix it? Thanks.

I used to have the same problem as you, adn I tried wearing a batting glove underneath, but it diddnt work (although it might work for you) you might want to try a different type of glove (I recoment rawlings) because the sizing might be off

im 13/f and i really think im fat. i weigh almost 120 pounds and im only 13! my friend who's a sophmore weighs less than me! its so embarrasing and its so hard for me to lose weight. i told my dad that i wanted to lose weight and stuff and he was like your fine the way you are adn he just keeps buying all this food thats really fatty and stuff... i dont no he is just trying to make me NOT lose weight. i even do some exersises at night and all i want is to be able to wear a tight shirt and not be emabrassed! i have love handles too. they suck. i just dont no what to do.. please help =]

First, i want to tell you 120 is not fat at all, i know people who are not fat, and weigh more than you-fat weighs less than muscle. You could go to the market with your dad, and pick out healthy foods. Another thing you could do is start running, or even walking. Get some friends together and go outside and play a sport, or even just go for a run together. Just make it fun for yourself, maybe go outside and play soccer, or basketball, and bring out a boom box and listen to music. The key to losing weight is eat healthy in moderation, and exerscize, adn I believe that the key to exersize is to have fun!

I have bought a treadmill, healthy food, and I plan to do exercises. But I still can't get rid of the feeling that no matter what I do, I won't be able to lose weight. I've been fat for so long I just don't feel like this will do anything to help me. I guess what I'm asking is, will it?
Will a half an hour-an hour of going on the treadmill as well as healthier eating help me lose weight? I know that a pound is 3000 calories, and I guess it just seems impossible to me. I'm only 15... please help.

Everything EricStar said is right, I just want to say, try and get a friend to exersise with you, it will be so much more fun, and I don;t know how the weather is there, but when the weather gets better try running ouside instead of the treadmill, for a change of scenery and a breathe of fresh air. Just make sure you have the right shoes (i diddnt have the right kind and got a stress fracture in my foot, so make sure you have the right shoes for the right surface)

i know this is weird, but...normally im not happy. my futures pretty much shit. i cut and i know i shouldnt but i dont know how to stop.

Do you play an instrument? Do you write lyrics? Music is a way for some people to feel emotionaly balansed. When listening to music it can make you feel a part of something, something that you belong to, something you actually understand. I know I connect to songs, and I don't know why. I think you feel that your future does have something in it, because you feel connected to the music you are listening to.

Also I know how you feel about sutting, I myself have never done it, but i know many that do. I did something about one of my friends, and I got her help, she hated me for a while, but we are now closer than before. So I guess I want to remind you that if someone does something about it, they really care about you, if your friends know about it, imagine how they would feal if you got seriously injusred, they would feel like it was their fault. Just remember that if someone makes a move to try and help you, then they rally care about you!
