lovexhasbeenxforgotten answered Friday March 24 2006, 10:52 am: well if you cut you should talk to someone about how you feel. like a friend or guidence consuler. mostly friends or family because you might not feel comfortable talking to a complete stranger about your problems. music helps me too when im feeling down because when you listen to some of the songs have the same meanings about how you feel and then you no that someone out there knows how you feel. just look at the bright side of things.
hope this helps

broooke answered Tuesday March 14 2006, 1:42 pm: Music helps me outt so much too, especially when I'm stressed. It probably makes you feel as if you can connect with it, or like the music understands your situation. Sometime songs are soothing to moods as well, so that might be whats helping you. I hope you become happier, btw, have a great day.
sweet34misery answered Monday March 13 2006, 9:44 pm: Do you play an instrument? Do you write lyrics? Music is a way for some people to feel emotionaly balansed. When listening to music it can make you feel a part of something, something that you belong to, something you actually understand. I know I connect to songs, and I don't know why. I think you feel that your future does have something in it, because you feel connected to the music you are listening to.
Also I know how you feel about sutting, I myself have never done it, but i know many that do. I did something about one of my friends, and I got her help, she hated me for a while, but we are now closer than before. So I guess I want to remind you that if someone does something about it, they really care about you, if your friends know about it, imagine how they would feal if you got seriously injusred, they would feel like it was their fault. Just remember that if someone makes a move to try and help you, then they rally care about you! [ sweet34misery's advice column | Ask sweet34misery A Question ]
tropicalbabe33 answered Monday March 13 2006, 12:38 pm: Dont worry, i dont know if it will help, but, i do that sometimes too, i mean sometimes i'm happy, sometimes i'm not, but music always makes me feel like that, like everythings ok. I think its just because some people (like you) can get really into the music, and dont think about much else while they're listening to it. Also, some music does have an happy, upbeat feeling to it, some music is meant to. So dont worry, and if you ever feel down - listen to some music! kendrabdatgirl answered Sunday March 12 2006, 6:31 pm: maybe you use music as a way to get away from everything thats in your life that makes you unhappy and miserable...same thing with me also. but some people use drugs, alchol, or sex to get over things. another example is you cutting yourself..maybe you should listen to music more often.. you may have a passion for it or began to grow a passion for it..

LoViNu2mOuCh answered Sunday March 12 2006, 6:26 pm: It's not weird at all.
That is how I used to be.
I used to cut and I eventually got sent to a hospital for it, and I know how it feels to not be able to stop. Because even after going to the hospital, it was soooooo hard to not do it.
But about the music, music is like an escape. You can lose yourself in it. It I guess speaks to you. You can understand it, the song understands you. I know exactly how you feel, and it is not weird at all, it is good because if gives you a feeling of happiness.
