Q: okay so im always so used to be the skinny girl. and lately ive gained a lot of weight. in one year i gained like 12pounds!!!!! can someone please please help me like maybe lose those pounds cause ive gotten really chunky and i wanna be skinny again. just please help..

well you have to exercise, try and eat healthy, and be active eventually you'll shed those pounds it just takes time and effort. good luck

Q: So I thought I liked the guy and he sent me a note saying he wants to get to know me because he likes me and I sent him a note back saying I would like to get to know him to. Im not so sure I like him anymore because when ever hes around I feel REALLY nervouse so nervous I cant concentrate on my work or eat. When im around other guys I like im not nervous. I try to avoid him and hes always staring at me and stuff and asked for my number but im starting to think I dont like him anymore. Im in 8th grade and never had a boyfriend and im really ok with that. Actually I love being single and I dont think im ready to have a boyfriend. Is that a bad thing? I think hes going to ask me out soon but I dont want to make him feel bad and I have no clue what to do. And I like this other guy and I liked him for a long time and I still like him better than the guy thats going to ask me out. I dont feel nervous around him or anything. But I like being single because I dont feel all nervous. Is this dumb of me? Please help. I dont want to go out with the other guy now.

if you dont want to go out with him, dont go out with him. you seem like your not ready for a boyfriend yet, and you love being single so why change when you dont even want too? if and when he asks you out just say you just want to be friends, and sure he may get upset and stuff but he's probably going to get rejected again anyways, so he should get used to it. if you continue to be nervous around him maybe you should tell him to leave you alone. you dont have to tell him in person, you can do it through a note, over the phone, or on the computer. no offense but he sounds like a clinger. and as for the other guy, if you like him enough to want him to be your boyfriend, ask him out and if he says no its going to be pretty devestating (especially if you do it in person) but you have to move on. maybe ask him in a month if you still like him. if he says yes then, congratulations you got yourself your first boyfriend. however, it seems like you want to stay single. i think you should go with your gut. that might seem like a "dead-end answer" but its not you just have to search deep within yourself and see if your ready or not.

Q: I have start school again on Wednesday, and all the girls in my grade are starting to wear makeup and jewelry, but I am more or the sporty kind, What should I do

no one is forcing you to wear makeup and jewelry. dont pretend to be something your not. if you get "friends" who only like you for that then they arent your friends. be sporty if thats who you are!

Q: my friend told me that she had to go to the gyno and they stuck their finger in the hole!? isn't that fingering the patient? and wouldn't it be kind of awkward if the gyno is a guy its like your boyfriend fingering you.. um ew and isnt it going to kill if you've never been fingered before? i mean whats the deal on this crap??

well its different because its not sexual its a check up or whatever and just makin sure everythings ok in there and usually gyno doctor's are women and you can request a woman if you want.

Q: I want to pursue a job in something relating to nightlife. Perhaps, a promoter for a night club. Or something along those lines. What other fun career opportunities are there for a night club? Thank you.

bar tender, stripper/pole dancer (if youre into that kinda thing) like a bouncer or that person who stands outside saying come on in girls girls girls! or whatever, so like the promoter like you said...not much else...really.

Q: hi, i just have a question about bumps on my breasts. well, they're not on my breasts but on my nipplles. they're tiny, prolly about a milimeter big.and theres quite a few of them. idk if this happens because i'm growing or something (14/f)? is it normal?

yep its normal. i have them, tons of girls get them around this age. its just puberty and hormones. dont freak out =]

Q: Hey. Well, volleyball tryouts are on the 15th-18th of August, and I am really nervous. There are girls that are going to be trying out who are really good and talented, but this is the first time of me really playing it. well there'sa couple things. part of the nerrvousness is that you've never really played you should try going to the local recreation center and play at least once and also if the coach makes you do different passes by yourself be first because the first couple of people is always "graded" the easiest. also, i was reading a Teen People magazine and it was like the 10 best back to school things and its an oral spray that you spray in your mouth that helps calm you down. its really for the first day of school, but it will work for that too. its called Skyn Iceland Anti-Stress Oral Spray and it runs for about $25 and you can order it at www.beauty.com, hope i helped you. and good luck making the team

Q: i have had feelings for this guy and my bestfriend has known this for years

i've heard he likes me too but sometimes he's so sweet and sometimes he's an ass to my face and teases me........the only reason i keep having feelings for him is bc deep down i can tell he likes me.

my bestfriend just had her heart broken from another guy and i helped her through everything........i was always with her encouraging her and bringing her flowers and crying with her.

a week later we were at a part.....i walk into a room and she is hooking up with the guy i like!!!
i can't begin to explain how bad that felt. i mean he's the reason i come to that party. he's the person i dress up to impress. i've liked him foreverrrrr! and my bestfriend???

so the next day i talk to her and tell her that she really hurt me. and she says she was drunk and she didn't know what she was doing. i tell her whatever and just move on.

but then the next week. i was at a party and i can't find her again! so i go upstairs and she's hooking up with him again!!!!!

by now i am sooooooooooooooooooooooo mad and sad and frustrated i just leave. i figure she's doing this bc she had her heart broken and she's trying to do it to me so i can feel it too.

the next day i talk to her and tell her she's being so low and i don't know what's going through her mind!!! she says she has feelings for him too. she's never told me that. and there's no reason i should be mad bc he's not my "property" and that when he starts making out with her......should she stop and tell him i can't bc my best friend like you too!

and then she also says the reason he's an ass to you sometimes is bc he just doesn't like you! you need to come to realize he does not like you!

and now i think she's going to start dating him.

she's been my bestfriend for 9 years. and i do everything with her.i don't want this to ruin our friendship. but i think it is already.

i feel like i've lost the guy i've always wanted and my bestfriend at the same time and i have no one to talk about it with.

wow. that sort of happened to me. but me and my best friends were bffs were 5 years and she got new friends one year at school and ditched me for them. but this is about you not me. if she was truly your best friend she wouldnt do that to you. she has known that you've liked him for years and after you treat her the best someone ever could after she was dumped, she went behind your back and fooled around with your guy and now they may be together. it sounds like she's taking advantage of your friendship almost using you to get with him. and no im not saying its your fault. its hers. eventually, im sorry to say, if they start dating she'll spend all her time with him and leave you in the dust. and then once they break up she will come running back and it will be your choice to forgive her or tell her off. it depends how much you trust her and how much you like her as a best friend. but you can try and do something about it now. try to make space between you two. if you do everything together, evenutally, you'll run out of other things to talk about and you'll have to talk about this situation and then you'll probably get in a huge fight that could break your friendship. i really dont know what exactly you should do, but if i did i would have done it with my ex-bff and could have told you but i have no idea. im not good with that stuff. but i hope i helped a little and i hope you dont lose your best friend over this, over a guy. tell me how it goes.

well you can try going to petco and getting NutroMax which my friend uses for her old dog or you could ask a vet or the people at petco for the best thing.

Q: This may sound a little lame and i may sound weak, but my problem is my brother is abusive toward me. He is 18 months younger than me, and he hits my slaps me, kicks me, punchs me in the face, somtimes he even threatens to stab me. If i try to fight back, im the one who gets grounded and if i tell my mom he hurts me, she grounds me because she thinks i am lying! And then i have to deal with my brother attacking me for telling my mom. Now i am like afraid to go to bed at night because he is always threatening to hurt me in my sleep. My dad passed away in 2004 and ever since then, he has been abusive toward me. I have talked to my school counsler about it and she said that she would set up a meeting with my mom. I lock myself in my room and i have to find things to do all day becasue my mom works from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, and he threatens to hurt me if i cross his path, or step anyware he is going. I am really terrified of my brother. My brother is always so nice when there are people around and he is so innocent. He appears to be the sweetest little boy, but he isn't. My friends tell me i should suggest to my counsler that she should talk to my mom about anger managment, but i am afraid she will tell my mom that, and then my mom will tune her out and then walk away. PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!

wow that is a really hard thing to go through. you should tell an adult you trust. not your mom because she doesnt believe you, not your counselor because it seems like she hasnt really done anything about it, but like an aunt or uncle or grandparent who will do something about it. but you should get help ASAP because he may evenutally stab you...so yeah. hope everything works out

Q: People tell me I have a reasonabley good voice but I want to make it really good. What exercises can I do to make it stronger cos at the moment I hit a high note and my voice sort of totally disappears. It's real weird!

make sure your accentuate the sounds. and as you are singing them just keep singing higher and higher.

Q: I'm opening a xanga/myspace layout site on xanga. and I'm clueless on what I want to name it. I've thought of Mirror Image Layouts or Sea Breeze Layouts, but I don't think I want to name it that. So I'm wondering if anyone would suggest any names? I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Q: Is this something wrong with me?

It's not a constant thing, but I have some real problems with anger at times. For example before.. Mom and I were in the car and I was crying.. been bogged down by stress, friends issues, and a recent breakup. Then I totally lost it because I felt she wasn't listening to me. I started throwing everything everywhere and kicking and screaming, telling her to listen to me. she tried to act all "calm" about it and even tried to change the topic and ignore what I was saying. I got mad and told her to stop being calm and lose the tone. I got even madder, and then something snapped. I put my fingers in the car window, and pushed the button up until my fingers got caught and kept doing it till I screamed in pain. I also bit hard into my hand in anger and the marks are still there.

I have never done anything like that before. Mom and I haven't spoken since. I feel terrible about what I did. I have no idea what got into me. Is there something wrong with me, or was this just a one-off thing, like losing control for a moment? I feel really ashamed because my mom is good to me, and I went and did something like that. What should I do? Is this a serious problem that requires serious help?

Q: I'm almost out of concealer, and it dpesn't even really work well. You could still see the redness and it dried weird. (I forgot what kind it was because the logo thing faded I had it for so long lol) k so I was wondering what kind I should get that works good. What are good (cheap) kinds that go on smoothly and cover really good?

covergirl, maybelline, or l'oreal. they are all pretty cheap and you can get them at CVS Pharmacy or Rite-Aid or a Grocery Store or a Dollar Store, those types of places, good luck.
