OK lovely smart me was playing with super glue being a dumb ass blonde and got it on my moms wooden desk and i cant get it off and if i dont get it off i cant go anywhere friday night!! ok i already tried to get like finger nail polish remover it and that turned the wood white then i wiped it with a wet rag and it was still there t he glue was but the white isnt but like so how in the world do i get it off this WOODEN desk please help ill rate high please help save my ass
ASAP! (link)

Unfortunately, nail polish remover also removes wood varnish. What you would need to do is sand the table and then refinish it. If you try to buy a little bit of stain and match the table at that spot, it will probably be pretty obvious. I realize you don't want to tell your mom what happened, but I think you might have to. Sorry about that. Best wishes.

There are many variations on Mexican layered dip.
I have listed one below:
INGREDIENTS:
1 (9 ounce) can bean dip
1 (6 ounce) container guacamole
12 ounces sour cream
1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
1 tomato, chopped
DIRECTIONS:
In a clear pie pan, or similar dish, spread a layer of bean dip. Top the bean dip with a layer of guacamole. Allow the layers to thicken in the refrigerator for approximately 20 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, while the bean dip and guacamole chill, combine the sour cream and taco seasoning. When the chilled mixture is sufficiently thickened, spread a layer of the sour cream mixture over the layer of guacamole. Top the sour cream layer with the grated cheese. Garnish the layers with the jalapenos and tomatoes.
This is from www.allrecipes.com and there are many others on the website.

I'm making sponge cake this afternoon and I ran out of baking powder!!! Will baking soda substitute?! And will rum extract substitute for vanilla extract? (link)
|
This website http://www.urbanext.uiuc.edu/thriftyliving/tl-baking.html lists possible substitutes for baking powder.
1/4 tsp. baking soda plus 5/8 tsp. cream of tartar
OR
1/4 tsp. baking soda plus 1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk (decrease liquid by 1/2 cup)
OR
1/4 tsp. baking soda plus 1/4 to 1/2 cup molasses
OR
1/4 tsp. baking soda plus 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice used with sweet milk to make 1/2 cup liquid (decrease liquid by 1/2 cup)
Best wishes

I am looking for a seasoning used at Noodles & Company on their Buttered Noodles. It is a green herb seasoning. Does anyone know exactly what herbs they are, or something comparable I can buy at the grocery store? (link)
|
There are many green spices available which are good on noodles. Basil is very common and has a flavor you might associate with beef, tomato sauces, or mozzerella salads. Oregano is a similar spice, but with a stronger flavor and slightly more pungent smell. Parsley is often used on dishes. It has a very, very light flavor, but can help enhance the flavors of vegetable or chicken broth or dishes with butter sauces. Cilantro is generally more associated with Mexican dishes. All of these are available in most grocery stores.
The Noodles and Company website lists the ingredients of the Buttered Noodle dish as parmesan cheese and Italian Seasoning. McCormick Spices make a little plastic container of Italian seasoning which would include oregano, etc. This should also be available at your local grocery. Best wishes.

Today i saw this football thing and I forgot what they were called. he object looks like a mini football and at the end there is a tail like thing. When you throw it, it makes a whisteling sound (sometimes they don't) anyone know what they are called?? (link)
|
I believe it is generally considered a Nerf football. Some have tails and some don't. If you type Nerf football into Google and then click on images...you see some pictures. Best wishes.

ok so there's this boy we had gone out a few times before but we broke up because he cheated on me, he told me he really liked me and wanted to go out with me again and promised he'd never do anything like that again and i definitly beleive him, i know for a fact that he's changed so we went out again but then we broke up because of the distance he lives in a town close to mine but we only see eachother on friday nights and weekends. so we started talking again and we both really liked eachother but a week went by and we hadnt talked i still had feelings for him and i beleived he still had feelings for me i went to a football game and he was hitting on one of my friends when i thought he really liked me, she's absolutly beautiful but i really want him to get to notice me again, i got mad at him and we were in kind of a fight but i couldnt stay mad at him and i kissed him at the end of the night and i think he may have started to like me again. how can i get him to really like me? i know a lot of people say he's not worth it but i don't care i really do like him .. what do you think? (link)
|
Well, he's proved that he likes to lie to you. You have turned the other cheek, so to speak, and excused it once. More than once is not only not fair to you, it's not fair to him. He has to learn that he can't do whatever he wants and still be rewarded. You should move on. It might be hard to begin with, but there are much, much better people out there with whom you could be spending your time. And they would probably appreciate your company.
Best wishes.

Whenever I babysit, the parents always ask me "How much do you pay per hour?". The truth is, I don't have a rate, and they always overpay me, which I don't mind :D, but I think it's impolite to take more than 15 dollars an hour. How can I politly set a reasonable babysitting rate that isn't too much or too little? (link)
|
You can consider your skills and experience and also what they are asking you to do. For example, if you have only been babysitting (ever) for 3 months, you might say you charge $7/hr for one child, plus an extra $1.50/hr for each additional child. If they expect you to feed/give baths/clean anything/stay very late, you might make the rate slightly higher or include an extra couple dollars. I think $6-9 dollars is a pretty standard rate range.

I will be starting ballroom danacing soon, and theirs going to be a halloween party where we have to dress up. So I was wondering what I should be? I wasnt planning on buying a costume so I need some simple ideas, that you dont have to buy a lot of stuff to make. I dont want to be a ghost, hobo, etc. Something good.
Also for ballroom dancing you have to dress fancy, and i have like one dress. So I was wondering if anyone knew of some any cute fancy clothes. We cant wear Gouchos, thats how fancy it is!
And also I dont know how to make my hair. I have thick brown hair, and I want to make it thin...does anybody have ideas to make your hair thinner and last longer besides gel and straightning, cuz i already do that, and then after a while it gets all frizzy.
it starts friday, so i need advice asap.
sorry its so long!
BY THE WAY, I RATE ALL 5's FOR GOOD ANSWERS! NO STUPID ANSWERS, PLEASE! (link)

You could go to a thrift store (like Goodwill or the Salvation Army) and pick up an old prom dress or bridesmaid's dress. Then you could combine this with an inexpensive tiara and be a princess. For this weekend, twisting your hair up into a bun is a good idea. It would go nicely with a tiara and it would keep your hair off the back of your neck while you dance (so you will not get as hot). You can get some little fake or real flowers to stick around the edge of the bun for decorations. As for thinning your hair, layers would be your best bet. They are the gift to almost all hair types. I have thin hair, so I have layers to make it look thicker. My sister layers her thick hair so it is not so heavy. Best wishes.

can you have a baby even without having your period yet? lol this is just one of those questions that I just was curious to know. Thanks! (link)

Yes you can. Waiting for your period and growing up can have enough issues, adding additional complications should wait if you can help it. Best wishes.

i have bumps on the bottom of my penis and my ball sack and i dont know what they are some one said they were where hair comes out but i dont know (link)
|
They could be raised hair follicles, slightly swollen pores or simple skin blemishes. If they hurt, change shape (in a month or so) or appear to be larger than the end of a ballpoint pen, it might be a good idea to have a doctor take a look. It might be embarassing, but that's better than having something you don't want to have. Best wishes.

First of all, let me clear the air. Im a sexually active 20 year old, Ive never been married, and I personally see nothing wrong with premarital sex, or sex in general.
But.
I have many friends who are Christian or Catholic, and they are (in my opinion) anywhere from sexually repressed at best, to afraid of and disgusted by sex at worst.
I cant really talk to most of them about it, simply because its a very uncomfortable subject. So I pose the question to the masses. For those of you who are religious, what are your views on sex, and why?
Thought provoking answers might get my screen name for further discussion, if you like. Any answers that sound something like
"ur crazy! Sex is uber cool! I LOVE SEX AND THERS NOTHIN WRONG WITH IT!! hope I helped plz rate"
or outright flames will get a 1. (link)

As someone who is studying to be a minister, I have to answer this question a lot. First of all, I am engaged and I do have sex with my fiance. He is the only person with whom I have had sex. I do not believe sex before marriage is wrong; however, I think that indiscriminate sex is harmful (not theologically, but psychologically).
Many people site lists of sins from Scripture which include "fornication and adultery" as sins in the eyes of God. They list these as commandments against premarital sex. Other people also note the verses about one's body is a temple to God. In thinking about these passages, one could come to some different conclusions.
One's body is a gift, whether from God or nature, depending on your view of it. It is best to treat it well. This would include eating well, regular exercise, occaisional doctor visits, daily flossing, comfortable shoes...etc. Many people (many religious people even) do not come close to this. It is not is the spirit of the Law to mistreat your physical body daily, but claim it as a temple to God in only one area.
Secondly, many religious people argue against masturbation, citing the story from Genesis 38. In this story, God kills Onan for "spilling his seed on the ground" instead of impregnating his sister-in-law as the law required. Onan was not killed for using the withdrawal method, but because he did not honor the law and the commands of God. This is not a story forbidding masturbation, which is certainly safer, fun and acceptable than random sex.
Thirdly, there are many people who are caught in a divide between spirit and body. They believe time on Earth is time to be passed before being with God and all things should be done for God's glory. God's glory is set. God does not need us to do things for God, but requires of us good deeds toward our neighbor.
Sadly, love and making love is infused with our human intentions and manipulations. We want so to care for those whom we care about, but we always seem to fall slightly short.
What does all this have to do with sex? In short, I believe sex is good when it is between two consenting people (and I do have a fine line on consent) who mutually care about each and wish to grow in love together. Sadly, these relationships do not always work out, but I believe it is better to hope for that future. While I know many people who have one-night stands or random hookups or booty calls and seem to have no adverse affects, there are many others for whom this later proves to be psychologically damaging. In general, I am an advocate of sex within a committed relationship.
I hope this gives at least some interesting food for thought. Best wishes.

I feel so alone right now. Right now, it's like everyone is against me. I feel like everyone hates me. My volleyball coaches took me out of the starting lineup and are acting angry. My parents are angry at me. I feel like they are all against me. Am I really that hard to get along with? I don't understand. I drank toilet bowl cleaner today because I felt so bad. It didn't really do anything except burn my throat really badly. No puking or anything though. I know I probably need help, but I don't know where to go. I want to talk to a professional so badly, but who can I ask for help? I don't have any money (I'm only 17 with no job), so I can't pay for one myself. My parents would just tell me to suck it up if I told them. They don't understand. What can I do? (link)

Even though many people will tell you that everyone goes through a hard time, it's hard to believe that when you're struggling the way you are. I think you should try to talk to a school counselor or a teacher who you feel you can trust. If this is not possible, try a hotline. There's 1-800-784-2433 (suicide prevention) or 1-800-273-8255 (Hope line). There are people there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Alternately, you could go to your local free health clinic or Planned Parenthood. Ask someone there for information regarding low-income or free (sometimes called pro-bono) counseling services for teens, young adults or general public. It is really important that you find someone to talk to because you are a good person with lots to offer and I am sure many people think so. I realize you may be in a small town or worried about your parents finding out, but counselors are generally held to confidentiality agreements, so a meeting would be private. A counselor could also work to help you with any other family or pain issues you are experiencing, in addition to your feelings of isolation. Please take a few moments to contact someone and reach out for help. You never know who around you really does care about you and would be devestated if you weren't around.

wat do you do when the one u love sent love you back!!!!!!
sighned confused person
(link)
|
It depends on when it happened. If (for example) this happened at the end of an IM conversation, you might just let the conversation go ahead and end. The next time you talk to the person, you could mention that you really like them or list some things that you appreciate or find attractive about him or her. This might lead to a mutual conversation about what you like about each other and it would give you more of a hint as to whether the one you love cares for you in the same way. Best wishes.
