Does braces hurt after they are done putting them on?? My mom is getting me to get braces REALLY soon beccause my teeth are terriable .
Please help ; i am really scared they will hurt afterwarrds ,
And if i get them, what CAN i eat ? ;o

I had braces a couple of years ago and it varies from person to person. For me, I got my top and bottom put on seperately, on different days. My top didn't hurt at all! It was simple and I could eat whatever I wanted, it just felt like there was something attached to my teeth. However, when I got my bottom set put on, it hurt really badly. I couldn't eat anything for a day, including the softest foods like mashed potatoes. Luckily, I went back the next day and the orthodontist gave me a lighter wire.

Basically, it all depends on the wire they put in. If it's really thick, it usually applies a lot of pressure. If it's thin, you probably won't feel it. And if something is unconfortable or hurts, you can always go back and change. Make sure you communicate with your orthodontist.

And take advil/tylenol beforehand just in case :)

My hair is very soft..and its not bad at all... my ONE AND ONLY problem is that its frizzy...i have curly hair, and i like curley hair.. but i hate the fact that its frizzy.. like, when i get out of the shower and my hair dries it gets frizzy, i tried the mayonaise mask, the egg mask, and a mask for frizz. and they all calmed my hair down alot acually, should i keep doing the same thing? and maybe my hair will be great? i dont know what to do, i really dont want to go out with frizzy hair, can anyone help me, please?

There are a lot of anti-frizz products you can use.
Personally, I have unmanagable, curly (more like a big poof of) hair. I use Pantene products, and they seem to "tame" my hair. They have many anti frizz creams, leave-in treatments, and other products. I highly recommend them.

It can be found in walmart, and probably cvs/walgreens. Try it!

Also, if you're using products with alcohol in them (such as many gels) this will cause your hair to frizz even more. It's just a matter of finding the right product :)

Not exactly.
When you call your own number from your own cell, you reach your voicemail.
However, there are programs that you can download (I have a blackberry, and I've seen apps for this kind of stuff) that allow you to schedule a time when the phone rings and "calls itself"

My husband has 3 children from his previous marriage and has full-custody. We've had custody of them for 3 years now in Texas. Their mother lives in California. She has been unemployed since she moved out there 5 years ago. She makes no efforts to be a "real" part of the kids' lives. She hasn't come to visit, her cell is continuously shut off so calls are limited (once a week or every two weeks). And the children are currently 11, 8, and 6.

The other day the 8 year old asked if I knew why she didn't correct someone when they call me her mom. She then told me she didn't want them to know I was her step-mom. I asked her if she believed it was a bad thing and she told me no, she thinks I am a mom. I told her it was fine if she does that in front of people. She took it the wrong way and now wants desperately to call me mom 24/7.

My question is if both myself and the child are comfortable with mom is it alright for her to call me that? Her real mom's jealousy is not an issue because her presence is absent. Most people I ask tell me not to encourage her but she is the one asking not me.

I highly respect that you are not encouraging her...and because of this, it's clear that all of her enthusiasm is genuine. She sees YOU as her mother figure already. Whether or not she calls you "mom", she still sees you this way. Adding a label onto it seems like it would make her happy. If you are comfortable with it, then I would suggest letting it happen because if you tell her it is wrong, she will think you are going back on your word and you don't appreciate the honor she's giving you. To adults, this would be understandable, but to an 8 year old, it would be dificult to grasp. This could end up hurting her. It is a very special situation and you are very lucky she feels this way.

My boyfriend says we have a normal relationship. I try to tell him it's not. He expects me to tell him everyone I pass in the hall way at work, what they say and send him pictures. If they come in my office he says they only made an excuse to come and see me that things should be controlled differently and men should not be able to just walk in my office. He takes these things out on me as well. Last Friday my boss called me in his office because he was about to leave for the day. When the boyfriend called I wasn't at my desk. he called and left vmails that were rude and ugly and when i called him back and explained he Said "you were in the office w/ 2 men?" "What else happened" Would you feel as if he is suggesting that something un professional could have happened by saying something like that? I'm at wits end and he seems to think he is doing no wrong. He says he has the right to know who I talk to and what is said and where I am and thinks if I have a problem w/ it then I have something to hide.

It's very sad. And you're right, he is controlling. He's making you send him pictures and tell him every moment of your life...I'm sorry but that's not the way to have a relationship. If you don't fix it, sooner or later it's going to have horrible results. He's already placed ideas in his mind that you are meeting wtih different men, and the next step is he's going to come up with new scenarios about you and these men.

You are not at fault, but if you let it continue, you are. This is not the type of relationship you want to be in. It is important to have trust, and he doesn't seem to have that.

ok this is stupid but whatever. my boyfriend is completely loyal and i trust him completely. but he like calls this girl wifey and theyre acquaintances not best friends or even close or anything. should i feel weird? or am i over-exaggerating? its not like he likes her but is that flirty of him hes all like "you can be my wifey" and im like wut.. k thanks !

I'm not gonna lie...I'd feel weird and I would hate it. But I would definitely talk to him and ask him what it means to him when he calls her that. It might just be an inside joke...
But if you want to find out for sure, it won't hurt to talk to him about it.

I have downloaded many themes once I found out how. Needless to say, I don't need half of them and want to delete them. I've went to the bbhelp and it says to highlight the theme, click the menu button, and click delete. But when I click the menu button, there's no delete option to click on. Help on how to delete a downloaded theme? Thanks in advance

Under setup go to advanced options & applications...there you'll find all the apps you have on your blackberry & you should find the name of the theme there, just delete it from there. That's how I do it :)

Okay a few days ago i was arrested for tresspassing & curfew, apparently the cop

I'll tell you 2 things right now that I know for sure...
1. He has the right to put handcuffs on you, because police officers are allowed to arrest anyone they seem to find suspicious. Can't really fight that part...
2. He HAS TO read you the Miranda Rights (your rights - you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used in court...etc) You can fight this in court, if he never said them to you, because it is a BIG DEAL.

My suggestion is a lawyer.

i turn on my computer and it says "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM" i googled how to fix it, but it isnt helping. for starters, i dont have the windows xp cd they're talking about. someone please help! my life is on my computer and i dont have it saved other places :/

Try this (if it doesn't work, you need to go to professionals)
I have a dell and had that problem.
While the computer is first starting up (before the windows loading screen) click F8... if you do it at the right time, it'll bring you to a screen that asks you how you want to start the computer. From here, scroll to "safe mode with networking" and let the computer start.
From here, your computer should start...it will look strange, but like I said, it should start. You need to save/backup all your files to a disk or USB, because it's very likely that your computer needs proper fixing (which means deleting all your files)

It can fade, however it happens slowly. I don't believe (if it's really love) that it will fade easily and automatically. Usually takes a while.

I'm currently on my 6th day of my period for the month and for some reason, I am having extremely bad cramps! I started having bad crapms on my 4th day and since then, I'm been in extreme pain. These cramps are on/off, so if you could help please!

Eat Bananas/chocolate, try to exercise, alternate the pills you take (tylenol for one day, advil/midol etc for the next day)

it happens, and it sucks! I know what you're going through. Try those things, if it doesn't start helping see if you can go to a doctor, they might prescribe you something stronger.

I have a huge Facebook login issue! I've been getting the error message of "account unavailable" since friday night. It also says to wait 24 hours for the account to be reviewed and that I will be contacted through email or the account will be permanently closed but it has been well over that period of time and the error message is still the same. I've checked my email and spam folder and I haven't received ANY contact from Facebook. I have no idea what has gone wrong but I want my Facebook account back now! What should I do? Please help me!

This happens to me almost everytime I login. Try refreshing the page, clicking yes when a popup window comes up (if it does)

Also, try using a different computer, this also works for me. Do you have internet on your cellphone? It never happens on phones so I recommend that if you can.

Other than that, there's really nothing you can do. I know it's frustrating! Keeps happening to me too!

I have a best friend that also got invited to a Halloween party I'm going to be attending and we thought it would be really cool to dress alike. Like twins or something...someone that goes together. I visited my dermatologist today and I have a mole that is physically fine but I want to have it removed for cosmetic reasons. She discourages it because it may or may not heal well and it's in a well seen spot but I hide the mole anyway, so I really just want to be free of it. Can anyone tell me from their own experiences of mole removal if it hurts, how long it takes to heal, and what the scarring is like? Has anyone tried creams to remove their moles? I've read about stuff online that makes it fall off but I don't know if I can trust it.

I had one on my chest, and I wanted it removed for the same reasons. I would hide it no matter what and it was a pain finding shirts that conceal so much.
Anyway, it didn't hurt, they just gave me a couple of shots so that it was numb and I didn't feel a thing. However, I unfortunately scar really badly, and it left a keloid that's the same size of the mole. Its horrible!
I'm not saying it'll happen to you, but if you know you scar after you scrape something, please reconsider. I regret getting it removed because all that's left is a big pinkish/red bump which is the same size as the mole was.


I've tried the stuff that makes it fall off, it works depending on how big the mole is and how well you tolerate pain. For me, it burned so badly that I couldn't continue with the product.

I'm writing and essay on comparing and contrasting Rainsford and Zaroff, and I'm having some troubles with the difference. Obviously, I know that Rainsford hunts animals while Zaroff hunts people. I also have that while Rainsford values human life, Zaroff does not. I need to find two more.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Their psychology contrasts. Zaroff finds what he is doing completely normal. He sees hunting people as a game rather than murder. And this, to him is completely sane. Rainsford, obviously sees it as insanity.

i was very curious for the past month. my teacher brought this up that had me going crazy about it. i am so curious.

but do you think there is science behind depression? besides the normal problems people
have,

my teacher said that about 75% of humans never get over depression. She said that scientists wondered that if there is something imprinted in the brain that makes humans depressed and can never become perfectly happy.

any comments? any answers?

It depends on everycase..

I took psychology and what I learned was that when there's not enough serotonin in the brain (and you're born this way...) you are depressed.
More serotonin the happier you are.

In other cases, like something traumatic happening, can cause depression. The brain is very powerful and complex but it's also very delicate and when something is triggered, it goes off no matter what. This is the case with depression.

I highly recommend reading a psychology book on the brain, you'll learn a lot about depression that way.
