hi! i have the habit of biting my nails, and it sometimes gets so bad that they hurt. i'd like to stop, but most of the time i don't even realize i'm doing it until someone points it out. i heard about this stuff you can paint on your nails, and it taste bad, so when you bite, you stop. what's it called? and what exactly does it taste like? does it work? does anyone else know anything i can do to stop?

Ive heard of it but dont know what its called (If your in the US there is something called control it that does the same thing). I know alot of people it has worked for.
You could also try painting your nails as I doubt you want nail polish chippings in your mouth. OR try false nails or acrylics, I doubt you will bite them and if you do at least its not your real nails

hey! okay so I was a virgin up until a month ago and ever since me and my boyfriend (of over 5 months) have only had sex like 3 times since we first did it. I'm on birth control but I didn't know that you're supposed to take the white pills I thought that you didn't need to since they were the dummy ones so I never did lol he never came in me but what about precum? i'm usualy late with my period prob bc I dnt take the white pills and td (Tuesday) is the 2nd day I haven't gottenmy period. is there a high risk of me being pregnant or is my body just screwing with me ahaha help:(

The dummy pills are not a contraceptive (or so Ive heard) they are there so that you can get into a routine of taking them everyday without skipping any or having a week off when your on your period.
There is usually no sperm in pre-cum. Ive found a website which explains more that I can. And try not to worry so much because worry and stress can make periods even later and messed up (I know from experience)

I plan to go to Florida with my family from July 3-9 or 5-12 (depending on if its more expensive traveling during the July 4th weekend). We've never been there so we don't know weather to rent a car in my current location, Saint Louis, MO and just drive there or to get a vacation package with the flight-hotel-car. I need help finding something very inexpensive up to 500 per person, I've tried Expedia and Orbitz but I'm not familiar with what to do so I need help from someone more experienced. Also the location in Florida doesn't matter but I prefer Miami or Tampa. There will be 3 adults traveling and one 16 year old child. Thank you.

Ive done a search for you on Orbitz. Ive said you are travelling from Saint Louis to Miami international airport, I said you want flights and hotel included (as packages are usually much more better value for money in my opinion) it has given you flights (with the airline which you would be travelling with), the price and at the side is the hotel. A car is also included in the price and I have said you would require 2 rooms as I wasnt sure if you wanted a family room or 2 rooms between the 4 of you. You can flick through and have a look which one would be suitable for you. If you need anymore help let me know and I will try and help out as much as possible.

I will be going to my boyfriend's little sister's graduation party in about a month. I don't want to show up and not have a gift for her, but I don't know what to get. So, a few months ago, I had my first "sort-of" boyfriend. It was really difficult for me to try to be a "girlfriend" because it was really new to me and I felt like I had expectations from me that I thought I couldn't handle. Our relationship didn't last long, unfortunately. Although, I miss him terribly and I don't even think we were that close. Here's how it happened. So, out of nowhere he comes, and he started liking me. I did think he was cute though. He added me on facebook, and we started to talk. Btw, he was my friend's cousin so at least we had a connection there, not some random dude. I was surprised that he did like me because to be honest, he's one of the first guys to seriously like me for me. Although, at the time, I felt like he didn't really "know" me because we weren't friends before. I always pictured mny first boyfriend to be my really good friend before we started dating. I mean, I don't think girls and guys can be just friends but I wanted to get to know him more. One day, he told me he liked me, and I liked him too and I told him, of course. The next time we met, on Valentines Day, he proceeded to ask me out. I felt nervous about saying yes because I was scared about what he would expect from me in the future. And, it was my first real relationship anyway. The thing is, my parents are strict so it's hard for me to meet with friends, especially guys. So of course, my parents didn't know. The next day, I told him that I think having the title as his girlfriend is a little too much for me, and I don't think he liked that. After, he told me he agreed with me, but I think he did that just to make me happy. Apparently, I broke his heart when I told him. I don't know why. We met once after that and that was it. A few weeks later, he told me he couldn't do it anymore and that we were drifting apart. One day, I found out that he went to the movies with his cousin's friend and they kissed. Apparently, from what I heard, "it just happened." But, they proceeded to make out on other days. He doesn't know that I know. She ended the relationship with him suddenly one day and idk what happened with them. But, now, my feelings are coming back for him and I want to talk to him. By the way, since he told me it was over, we haven't talked since. I want to talk to him again, maybe just as a friend but I'm scared that he wouldn't care. Basically, a fear of rejection. What should I do?

Try and talk to him hun and tell him that you miss talking to him and would still like to be friends, take it from there. I mean if you become friends again and start talking more often you could suggest meeting up one day maybe even just to go shopping or for a bite to eat with some friends or his cousin. Things might develop again but dont be scared of rejection. The worst thing he can do is say he doesnt want to be friends and then you can move on babe. I know its hard but just ask him if you can still be friends

hi so i am having problems when i shave my legs. Whenever i shave i bleed every time. my skin is so sensitive, even when i use shaving cream or soap. I have a spa breeze razor and i was disappointed when i bought it because basically has small soap bars on the top and bottom of the razor blade so you don't need shaving c ream, but while i shaved my armpits it started bleeding. And even when i do use shaving cre am on my armpits or legs it'll bleed or sting almost every time. What should i do? please help

There are several ways of decreasing the discomfort associated with sensitive skin and shaving. Moisturizing is very important for the health of your skin. You should purchase and use lotion with aloe, or one that has been concocted for sensitive skin and apply it regularly. Application after showers and baths is an extremely important habit to get into, as skin tends to dry out after being exposed to water
. It is a good idea to apply a heavy layer of cream or lotion before you go to sleep so that your skin has plenty of time to absorb the lotion. If your skin is extremely sensitive and you are experiencing uncomfortable itching, you may try applying a thin layer of Vaseline onto trouble spots.
Use a new razor after two or three shaves. Buying a razor specially designed for sensitive skin may be another good option.
Regardless of where you are shaving—your legs, bikini area, face, underarms—remember to lather. Mild soap lather or a shaving cream with non-allergens will do the trick. Shaving slowly and making sure you do not go over areas you have shaven already is important for decreasing tension on the skin.
After your shower or bath you should apply baby oil or a good moisturizer to your entire body, particularly the places you shaved. Make sure these areas are fully dry before you moisturizer. Remember not to use products that have potential allergens.

I was wondering this for a while, and i was too embarrassed to ask my mom, but how much does your vagina stretch when you have a kid? I was wondering this because of the duggar woman whose given birth to like over a dozen kids. lol so yeah anyone knows?

Your vagina does stretch after childbirth and also for some women it can stretch a little bit during pregnancy but this isnt common.
There is no saying how far it stretches but it does stretch but it goes back to normal when the woman does pelvic floor exercises but for some women it takes months to get back to how it was before.

15/f & my friend greg** is 15/m .

My friends dad beats him. And according to court his dad is allowed to give him "spankings" & there's no proof that he beats him. This may be hard to follow.

Gregs mom would take his father to court, so that he would never have to see his dad again. But Greg has been to rehab before & his father could use that against them in court.

I'm so scared my friend is gonna get seriously hurt. I'm talking to him right now on face book & he's telling me how his dad left him on the stairs bleeding and he couldn't move what so ever.

What if his dad takes it too far? I don't even know what to do. My mom would take Greg into our home in a heart beat, but him & his mom would get arrested for him running away.

I agree that your friend or his mum should phone the police. His father cant get away with abusing him and that is what it is, child abuse. In the Uk his father would be arrested for doing this to a child but Im not sure how they handle these kind of situations in the US. If it carries on let Greg move in and if the police do get involved say that he was being abused and he was scared for his safety. However I would get the police involved first and greg could ask if it is possible to stay at your house with the permission of his mother and yours. Im sure they would not oppose to this.

Longer hair looks better for rounder faces, short hair cuts will make your face look rounder. I too have a round face and a big nose I have my hair past my shoulders and would never go short as it just doesnt suit me whatsoever

However there is nothing wrong with experimenting with hairstyles, if you hair grows quickly then you could try a shorter hair style. I think that layered hair which is past shoulder length looks better for rounder faces.

okay so im 14 and i havnt had my period for about 2 months, i got my first one when i was about 11 and ever since then i've had it but recently for some reason i havnt and its kind of worrying me, no im not pregnant if thats what your thinking as im still a virgin, im not fat but im not skinny either. can anyone help please!! ?

Yeah I agree that your periods are probably just irregular and its very common.
I used to have irregular periods but instead of being every few months mine were constant and every few weeks I would get a period and they would last for about 3 weeks. I went to the doctors and they gave me a tablet to make them regular, maybe go and see your doctor and tell them, they will be able to give you more advice and information.
Also stress can make periods irregular, if you are worrying about something such as exams etc.

I asked a question on here and my girlfriend saw it. She was upset about the question I wrote regarding a friend in first person. I just sent her proof that it really was my friend's first words. I just asked on advicenators because I wanted to give the friend great advice but I wasn't very knowledgeable on the subject. I did give her advice though without waiting for an answer from here. I researched on the internet for great advice. Now my girlfriend wants nothing to do with me. I thought she was referring to the question I wrote about her not being able to compromise, and me not being able to have friends while in a relationship with her and all those factors were affecting my health: physically and mentally. I said on here that I couldn't break up with her. I thought it was because I didn't have the strength but I think the thing is that I'm afraid of my future with her. Will it still be no compromise situations. I always letting her be and she always getting upset when I talk to friends. It's suffocating but I don't want to let her go. I really love her and I realize I think the thing keeping me from letting her go is that I really do want to be with her forever despite the problems we have. I don't know what to. I don't want to lose her; she's what I want.

Tell her that you dont want to lose her because you love her but that you also need to spend time with your friends too and have some "me" time. Compromise with her too say that you, her and your friends could all hang out together sometimes if she wants to. Also make her feel special, maybe she just thinks that you dont want to spend time with her so much.
Im a girl and I know that sometimes we can be clingy with guys because we just care and want to be with you all the time but you also need to make her realise that you also need your friends too because your friends mean alot. Maybe if she is hanging out with her friends you can take the opportunity to spend time with your mates or visa versa.

You could do some kind of drama - like put a bit of comedy into it.
Maybe do a poem or play in instrument if you can play any.
Do a comedy dance. Like get a dance from a comedy film and copy it. OR do something like this guy on youtube. Its pure genius.

I was recently on a date with my boyfriend. But it was a total disaster. After the date, i ended up feeling sad and like $h!+. He so made it seem like he didnt want to be there with me. He never really acted like this before. All the other dates he was so nice to me and would buy me flowers, etc. But even from the night before, his way of talking seemed like he wasnt intrested in me. Usually he would say things like he cant wait to see me tomorrow and what kind of places do I think we should go, he didnt really say anything of that type. I even said to him i said if you dont want to meet tomorrow we dont have to, maybe another day would be better for the both of us. But he said no i wanna see you i miss you etc. But he sounded kinda sarcastic.
So anyway this date he called me around 1:45 saying that there was traffic and he would be 15-20 mins late, and that turned out to be near an hour. We were supposed to meet at 1:30 but he showed up at exactly 2:30. I didnt like that but I let it slide. So i went in the car and i saw this time he didnt bring me any flowers or anything. But i let that slide too. I didnt care so much but of course it would have been nice. So i'm thinking we would go to the amusement park he mentioned a couple days ago and have a good time, but instead he wanted to go near the water. We didnt really do anything, he didnt talk much to me and i gotta admit i didnt feel like talking back. We just sat on a bench, then he started kissing me in public and there were people passing by. I wasnt too comfortable or thrilled about that. And felt like he did that cuz there was nothing else better to do.
Then he said lets go in the car so we sat there looking at the water a bit etc. Oh my gosh his phone probably rang like 30 times that whole time, he didnt pick any of them up but still. The other times he would put his phone on vibrate and it might have vibrated 1 or 2 times. And while we were near the benches it rang a lot also. That time he told me hold on let me get a water from the car, but i knew he went to go make a phone call he took pretty long too. In the car he left also, he said hold on i'll be right back. And i was looking around trying to see where he went and sure enough he was on the phone. He was kind of far away too i guess coz he didnt want me to hear. Whoever he was talking to...
So he comes back in and says they keep calling me from the diner about the repairs being made. (He owns a diner). So we stayed another 10-15 minutes and after that, he said he should get going and bought me back home. He dropped me off and he's usually like wait one more kiss, this times we just locked lips a couple of times and i left. I didnt even cross the street yet and he started driving away. He seems cold on the date like he didnt wanna be there, of course i picked that up and automatically i showed the same reactions as him even if i didnt want to.
At home we talked on the internet also, and even then he was still cold. He usually says that he had a great time and he loves spending time with me but this time he didnt mention anything about today. He actually said i better get home my fish probably miss me. what like his fish are more important than me. is he trying to say i didnt miss him. is he trying to say i aint even as good as his fish. i dont know whats wrong with him. why did he act so hostile toward me i didnt even do anything. oh also i said im so happy today because i got to see you and spend time with you. and he said something like thats not fair i cant send any smilies from here coz im using a different computer. wtf? I been feeling sad lately.
What should i do. I feel like that flare between us is getting lesser as the days go by for some reason. Also before he used to text me and write me little poems all the time, now he doesnt as much. I still love him but i dont know why hes acting like he doesnt enjoy being with me or somthing. Maybe im wrong but thats the feeling im getting. I am so sorry i wrote so much i know, but thats what happened. Thank you so much in advance for any advice you can give.

Hey! Boys can be like that sometimes. Believe me my boyfriend can be like this too.
Tell him how you feel just say that you feel like on your date that he didnt enjoy being with you or didnt want to be there. He might just be stressed out at work or something or be having a bad couple of days.
Just talk to him and make him realise how you feel. Im sure he wasnt meant to make you feel that way but boys can be stupid sometimes.

So there's some teens and their Dad living next door. My neighbour's yard si growing into a jungle, which is fine, but they've got a hedgegorwing right along the fence diving us (which I guess the teens thinks that it makes they're partying soundproof but it's not)and so they don't do anything and just let it grow so it's growing through the fence into OUR side and the ugly flowers keep falling onto our beautfiful freshly cut grass (which is one of the things my Dad puts a lot of his time and effort into maintaining his garden).

Franky, the dad must not own a lawn mower because
none of us has ever heard or seen him mowing the lawn.

Do you think that it's our problem (our side, we clean) or theirs? And what should we do? I don't think that if I tell them they'll be like "Oh sorry, we'll fix it then." The last time I told the teens (same age as me!) to turn down their music, they egged our house!

I think it is their problem and I would be super pissed too. A tree started growing into our garden from our neighbours garden and my dad just started cutting it back so that it wasnt in our garden anymore.
If you dont want to do that just be polite, go to the house and talk to the dad just say that you dont want to be a nuisance but could they possibly trim or cut back the hedge as it is growing into your garden.

I recently caught a STD called TRICKS and I never thought anything like this would ever happened to me, I mean I'm careful and I thought I was but now I scared because what if I got HIV and I want to know how long it takes to show up in your system. I mean I did take and HIV test when I took the other blood work. I know that TRICKS is not as bad as other std, but it scared me to death just know how stupid I was, and how bad my judgement was. LADIES CONDOMS ARE ESSTENTIAL WEAR THEM ALWAYS NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive read on one website that it takes 6-8 weeks after transmission to show up in a blood test. Others say 6 months. I would go to see a doctor though if I was you, they will talk you through everything and also send you for a blood test.
Try not to worry too much because you will just make yourself feel bad and you will make yourself feel ill. Go and see your doctor and Im sure having a test will put your mind at rest
