how can I set password on a file or folder in Windows XP? (link)

I don't think you can. You can password your whole account, but not individual folders within that account.
The only way that I know of is to 'zip' or compress them. Any utility that will do that will generally allow you to create a password.

It depends how you define success. If it's all about jobs and money, then suck up to your boss, toe the company line and die with lots of toys. If it's about happiness (and I hope it is) then just try to do as much as you can. Go to lots of places. Meet lots of people. Do lots of interesting jobs. That way, you can look yourself in the eye (well, you can't, but you know what I mean) and say that you have got the most out of your life.
Anything else is just gravy.

It's different for everyone, but generaly speaking reading them over and over isn't the best way. Obviously, you need to read them, but try to go through your planned movements at the same time. Also, try speaking them aloud. I think they call it physical memory or something, but in short, words that are associated with very well rehearsed actions (even if the action is only your mouth) are easier to remember. Obviously, this will make you look a bit strange on the bus etc, so in these situations, just visualise yourself going through the motions.

This guy that I used to want to date is showing some less than desirable qualities. Firstly, I found out he's a gay basher. He says that when queer eye for the straight guy comes on the television he wants to throw his boot through the screen. He's also sexist, and has said to me that men are smarter than woman, and that woman are stupid. He also said that anyone over 30 who isnt married must be gay, and that I'm a prude for saving myself for marriage. He's also made nasty comments about my weight, and I'm not fat, just average.The funny thing is he thinks he's hot but he's really not, he's about 20 pounds overweight and has an ugly hairstyle and outdated clothes. I would love to put him in his place one day but am too "nice". But it makes me mad when he constantly puts me and his other friends down. Should I say something to him? (link)

i have this really small bumb on the right side of my toung. i don't think it's very serious because i've had it before. anyway it hurts when food touchs it and when i touch it. do you think im allergic to somthing or do you think it's somthing serious or do you think it's nothing. let me know!

We don't need religion. Hear me out. If Jesus were to come down from Hevan and say "I am the son of God" and showed us all of is water to wine stuff, scientist could test it and then Christianity would become a science and all other religions would be be proven wrong and therefore not be religions.
That was my little prologue, here is my question Is it possible that our societies have reached a point in which we can admit there is no need for religion and have good morals without a book or God(s) to tell us what they are? (link)

If you look at it, science fills the role of religion for most people these days.
In the same way as religion, it offers answers in an unpredictable world. It pomises to make you live longer, it explains why we are here, and it offers a system of dos and donts that will result in your prolonged wellbeing.
It seems that, on the face of it, these answers are researched through physical phenomin, but have you ever seen an atom a virus or a vitamine?
The truth is that you beleive in these things because you have been told about them and because they offer you a way to understand the world. It's not much different to believing that God is responsible for it all, really. The only difference is that you call your priests scientists.
I'm not a religious guy, but I would urge you to analyze everything that you hear, regardless of the catagory that you put that information under in you head.
The reality is that we know almost nothing.

alright it always seems that when my brother has friends over that im always home, because all my friends are busy and there is no one to talk to on the phone. Now his friends are really hot so i dont want them to think im a loser its just a cowinsdense (sp) that im home when he has his friends over, and no i dont do it on purpose. I try calling people to talk so i dont look like a dork but of course no one is home when i need them . What do around the house so they dont think im a loser? and i know like watching t.v or something but last time i did that one of his friends went " why is she sitting there watching tv"

Who cares? A real loser would be someone who leaves the house every time her brothers friends come round. Don't feel that you have to get out of the way or look like your're doing something when you're not. I'm sure you go out and do stuff all the rest of the time, so don't worry about it.
Your brothers friends may be 'hot', but they don't sound too bright!

I am 15 soon to be 16 and I need to start looking for a job. I am currently home schooled cause my aniexty is really bad. I need an idea for a job, but I need a job suitable for me. Like a website job maybe? I don't know. Maybe even advertisement? Any ideas? (link)

It's pretty rough being 15 anyway, without worrying about a job too much. Have a look down the local newspapers and the employment office (We have them in England, so I guess you have them wherever you are) and see what takes your fancy. Many companies wil also be willing to show you around if they think that you would be interested in working for them.
If you can, though, STAY IN SCHOOL!

heyy guys, well my one friend is really short and skinny but thinks shes "fat" (of course thats not the big problem because everyone has insecurities) but anyway she barely eats and obsesses over her weight (but she also has OCD) she takes medicine for her disorder but she wont eat her lunch at school. Well i have 4 or my closest friends and she is one of them. Right now my other close friend let it slip that the other was barely eating and her mom came to our school, and basically embarressed her by making her eat her whole lunch. Well afterward i was walking down the hall and my friends went into the bathroom to put their makeup on and found the other friend sticking her finger down her throat trying to make herself "throw up" We told my homeroom teacher who tries to fix things but doesnt. I am sooo bothered by it and I've told my friend, and we've tried everything and being patient. Its not to the point where my friend needs counceling but im afraid it will reach that point becuse she has been dropping a lot of weight and shes not even 100 pounds.(she wasn't to start with either) im sorry this is kinda long but i just dont know what to do. really any advice would pretty much help (the nice kind) and ways to help me relax would be appreciated! thanks soo much guys if you even get to this part and ill deff. rate HIGH!

Sounds like your friend is starting an eating disorder. Encourage her to see a doctor and just be there for her.
Stuff like this tends to come from insecurities, so do your best to make her feel comfortable around you.
There's probably not much else you can do, in my opinion.

okay well, i guess this is stupid. But im afraid of lsbian/gay/bi sexual people. Or i hate associating with them, i know theres nothing wrong with that because my uncles gay. But i guess what im asking is, how can i get over this? I think its stupid to be afraid of those people, but still im afraid(or whatever word youd like to use). Everyone is different, and just because someone is different in a way that you find significant does not change the way that you should respond to them.
Actually, that's not quite true. Serial killers are good to avoid and so are child abusers and rapists etc.
As for homosexual people, don't worry about them (unless, of course they happen to fall into any of the above catagories!)

I am writing a note letter to my ex that lives in florida i live in maine 6 months ago we broke up and don't really talk that much. I love him to death but he tells me constantly that he was not a great boyfriend and i need to get over him he wants me to because he feels it would be easier on me. he claims to be totally over me even tho we were in love. Concentrate on trying to make your letter more readable than your post. Lots of people employ punctuation in order to make themselves understood.

My mom and dad separated and last year had a fight about me going to New York. Since that i have spoken to him but havent gone to visit him but he comes to see me at school. The problem is he is upset that i dont come to his house and i feel sad that i made him feel that way but i dont want to go because all he is going to do is pressure me with school work and i dont want that because i want to hangout with friends. We were having a Xmas party at my school today. In one of my classes, we were having a mock debate game. The teacher would call up four of us and give us a topic. One of the topics was 'it Santa Claus real or not"? Two people had to debate for the positive, that he was real, and the other two had to debate that he wasnt.
Well when my turn came up, the topic was: does Santa spend his summer in mexico or the North Pole? I was on the negative team, so I had to debate that Santa did NOT spend his Xmas in Mexico.
Well when I started talking I was really on a role. I said that I had been to Mexico 3 times and never once had a seen a fat, pasty looking man with a long white beard tanning on the beach. Then I added "who would want to see that? It's DISGUSTING!! I also talked about how Santa never has a tan, and that if he spent a whole summer in Mexico he would still be a bit bronn at Xmas time. I also added that he had to compile his naughty and nice list and get his elves in order, and that the summer is only 4 months away from Xmas so he would definatley have to spend his Xmas in the North Pole.
Well I got a couple of chuckles during my speech, and me and my partner won a prize for best debate!!
The only thing I'm worried about is now some of the guys in the class are avoiding me, and not being as friendly to me after I made my speech. I thought of two things: maybe some guys don't like girls to be funny and outspoken, that's what guys do, and 2, maybe they were offended by me saying that seeing Santa tanning on the beach was digusting.
Does anyone have any ideas?

If you had upset someone in a REAL debate, then perhaps you should try to level things out, but this just sounds like a bit of fun to me.
Actually, Santa did spend one summer in Mexico, but he burns very easily and doesn't really go for spicy food. He told me that he didn't plan on going back for anything other than work purposes.

I have made my grandma a special memories book for her birtday with lots of photos and little anicdotes and things and memories i have of her from holidays, christmas, birthdays etc.
I'm just really stuck for what i can write on the front page.
i want to write something that xplains what the book is about and that its a special book for a special grandma but i really dont know how to put it and make i sound really good.

The fact that you've bothered to male the thing will tell her everything that she needs to know. What you write on the front isn't so important.
All grandma's seem to have 'catchphrases' like 'It wasn't like that in my day' or 'The world just keeps on changing'etc. What about using one of hers?

When it comes to guys I always rush things. After that, one of two things happens:
One:
I find out that the guy is nothing like I expected. Most of the time it just turn out that he's a immature pervert and his charm and humor are an act. I don't take time to REALLY get to know a guy so I don't find out how they really are until we're close. After that, I completely loose interest (duh) and break it off with them.
Two:
It gets too serious and they are too in to me. It freaks me out because I either won't be ready for it or I won't want it. I just want to date and have fun. Nothing too serious that makes me want to "think of the future" with him. I guess me rushing things makes the guy think that I do want that? So again, I then break it off.
I always find myself in one of the two situations and after a month or so (most of the time less) I'm guyless and moving on to another one. Most of my friends know this about me and lecture me about it all the time but I have no idea how to fix it. I know it happens but I don't know how to keep it from happening.
It's like a routine for me. Meet a guy, go out, break up after a few weeks (because of the above said reasons), and meet another. How can I keep this from always happening?

You should subject yourself to long and unsatisfactory relationships with guys that don't make you happy. Have a stream of screaming kids and spend most of your time fighting.
On the other hand, you could stop worrying about it and wait until you meet someone that you are really comfortable with.
The choice is yours.
