I have been an athiest for about four years, and I have begun to feel lacking in that area. I looked up many differnt religions, and took trusted belief tests to see what would best fit with what I really want and believe. The tests all pointed to Pagan. I have looked up on it, and it just seems to fit. I feel so happy, even just going through a normal day is better now that I have found it. However, I do not think my parents (catholic and athiest) will accept it. Anyone who has had a similar "coming out" (be it of religion or sexual orientation) care to help me form a plan, so they might see my view?

I'm a tad intersted in what these 'tests' are. I really can't see why you should be so worried about how your parents feel. If you truly believe in this you shouldn't let them try to make you believe somehting else. However I want to know what these tests are. Just so I can be sure you're aren't doing something stupid.

Marijuana is bad, granted, quite bad indeed, but people seem to have misconceptions about how bad. I won't get into it now, it will destroy your life (not in the sense some people think of it), and just talking to your parents is not necessarily going to work. They'll need rehab and counselling etc., depending how addicted they are. Start by talking with them, but they could be more dependant on marijuana than that.

If you aren't ready don't do it. I believe you should wait until after marriage, but people don't like to listen to me. Tell her you don't feel ready, you two definitely need more time to work on your relationship and get to know each other much better. It doesn't matter how horny she is it's wrong if you don't feel you're ready and you really like her. You need to be sure you feel comfortable and that you actually care for her. Of course, I'd say wait until marriage, but as bad as premarrital sex is it doens't make you Satan, so I'm not going to go off on a big tangent about it. Don't let her force you into doing it though, you shouldn't EVER have sex if you aren't ready and if you don't really care about her.

Sadly, there's no logical solution in which this 'other girl' won't be hurt in some way. All you can do is tell her how you feel about that girl. If you like her, be with her. You cannot be with the other girl just because she likes you. If you don't like her, you can't lie to her. Follow your heart. She'll be hurt, I know, but she'll get over it.

Simple. First become her friend. This usually works when you aren't a stupid idiotic pervert like most men are. Look for someone you have common interests with, and use those to start a friendship and build on that until you think you want to ask her out. Or do the stupid thing: ask a random attractive girl out, be together for a week and break up because you're both stupid. I reccomend the first way. You really need to spend a whole lot of time with the whole friendship thing, but you need to start with some common interest and build up a relationship.

Call the police, or go to your parents, or ANYTHING to get away. Your boyfriend needs help, and you can't be with him unless he gets better. Right now you need to leave him. I would suggest calling someone so he can get help, you cannot COMPLETELY abondon him, though it may be necessary. Even if he does love you he cannot stop, and you need to get away. Stay with a friend or relative, and I'd say call the police or someone to deal with this. And do it quickly, too.

Looks and sex are least important in a relationship. My advice, break up with your boyfriend, you don't seem to give a **** about him. Then, completely forget about the other guy, he has a girlfriend. If you think with such a lack of morals or intelligence you're simply going to ruin your life. My friend and I have been "friends" for about 4 years now but ever since the beginning, I've wanted to become more than just friends. Last summer I told him that I did like him in that way and I wished that we could become more than just friends and see what happens but he said that he didn't know me well enough. I've been trying to go everywhere I can with him and see him as often as possible because I DO want to get to know him better... last weekend (for the first time) he started hitting on me which kinda made me happy... ^^;; but after the weekend was over, he called me and said to forget the whole thing because he was just fooling around. I was totally crushed because he KNEW that i liked him... I don't know what to do any more. Should I move on? It's never too late to start a relationship, ever. If you're so comitted make a long distance relationship during college. Never give up so easily. Also, stuff like this happens all the time. You might not really like him as much as you think, you may just THINK you like him. But then again, I don't know exactly how you feel or what you're thinking blah blah blah.
If he's hitting on you, he probably likes you and doesn't know/want to admit it. I hit on my current girlfriend back when we were just friends (she wanted to be more) and then denied I meant anything. Later I realized I really cared for her.
So if you truly like him, it's not too late, long distance relationships DO work, and he likely likes you. Just keep trying (without being pushy, weird, looking desperate, etc.).

My husband and I are in a dissagreement about this one. I think that there are a lot of phonies out there passing themselves off as psychics, but that are actually a few that are for real. But I don't know which ones. My husband thinks all psychics are phonies, and nobody could possibly have these abilities. He is very cynical and closed-minded, in my opinion, but he thinks I am gulible. I was watching this talk show the other day with psychic Sylvia Browne, and she was picking people out of the audience and describing their dead relatives and friends, and even explaining things about them that she couldn't possibly know. I saw people nodding their heads, and looking amazed and relieved to finally know what happened to their loved ones. Are all these people paid actors? I belive it was the Montel Williams show. He seems pretty decent out of all the talk show hosts, and they seemed like just regular people. They gave her very little info to go on. If this is fake, how is it done? The idea of psychic powers is to simplify: horribly complex. Sherlock Holmes, I shall start with, was based on a real character who could tell almost everything that had ever happened to a person simply from looking at him. How? Studying every acute detail. Facial expression, clothing (colours, position, and generally what the attire is), attitude, etc. Some pyschics may appear real using this. Also, let's keep in mind stupid people exist. Pysichs and often weirdos who make one good guess and convince themselves they're really psychic. And notice how psychic always try to not predict the future, and when they do it's false, and how if they're REALLY psychic they should already know your credit card number, right? The truth is all 'professional' 'pyschics' are phonies. Yet there is the whole 'mass consciousness' theory, along with details of brain wave patterns, and tons more other stuff not worth getting into now. There is also the fact that psychics just make general (often lousy) assumptions about people and hope they can then spread GENERAL lies about the future. Nothing specific. Oh, and to save time and space, those people who say they can talk to dead people are such big liars.
