why are guys so horny? i heard theres an actual reason for that
Well, in nature and out in the wild, the male's role is to create as many offspring as possible. Its just instinct, I guess. Also, they do not have menstrual cycles, so its easier for them to be hornier all year round. Although women can be horny all year round, their horniness levels increase during their period.

i think i developed bulimia around last november. ever since thanksgiving i've been throwing up like everything i eat. i used to binge but i stopped and i try to only eat when i absolutely have too. but today i ate some chips, freaked out and purged and i threw up some blood. i'm scared. it's never happened to me before. what happened? what do i do? i don't think i can stop i really can't. if i do i'm afraid i'll get really fatter.
i'm like 5'6" and last time i checked 121 pounds. normally i check everyday but i've been afraid to lately. i don't know what to do. i'm scared. my mom kinda knows about it but she's only said something to me twice. i don't get how i could overcome this. how?
any advice?
thanks so much.
Your vomit had blood in it? This could be something VERY serious. I would call your pediatrician and tell him/her about it, and he/she will tell you whether you should go to the hospital or not. This is really serious. Tell your mom what happened, that you're bulimic. Everything. Just let it all out. You'll feel so much better emotionaly, and after you get proper treatment you will get better physically, too. They won't necessarily make you eat to gain weight, they will make you eat so you can get all the proper nutrients for your body. I won't garuntee you that you won't gain weight, but you have a decision to make whether to live or to die. The decision is totally up to you.

I left my tampon in for the night two nights ago. When I woke up in the morning, I remember and took it out and put a new one in. Is there still a chance of TSS? I feel fine now, if that makes any difference.
TSS accures immediately, within an hour. If you had TSS you would be feeling completely horrible in the morning (the person below me has listed the symptoms), not to mention you would be dead by now (unless you went to the hospital). Keeping it short, no, you do not have TSS.
Just be careful not to leave a tampon in for longer than eight hours, but to be on the safe side, I never keep it in longer than five.

what are other items u can masterbate with other than the bathtub faset or a brush handle?
Candlesticks are actually dangerous because they DO break, and if one end is left inside you, its going to be really hard for it to come out, and you will have to go the emergency room.'
Here is a website that should help you a bit:

this guy asked me togo see a movie and his like wayy older then me like aboout 3 years lets say and i dont if he means like a date or just to hnag out ??? cuz im 15 and his 18 so i dont he was all like so u wanna go to the movies and i dont if its date or not??
At the movies ask him if its a date or a friend kind of thing. Bring it up casually. You won't be wierd for asking this and the rest of the date (or friend thing..) won't be akward. Trust me, I've asked this question a million times, and whatever the reply was, the day went on just fine.

i love Cumbers. i eat them all the time. my friend said if i eat them all the time as i do i can get cancer is that true? im scared now
I think she was thinking of pickles.
http://www.zhion.com/kimchi_cancer.html
Kimchi means pickled vegetables.
I have a 2 1/2 year old wire fox terrier.
Lately he's been scratching his face a lot, especially around his eyes and snout, until the skin turns red and sometimes starts to bleed. I have no idea why he does this or what to do to make him stop. He doesn't have fleas and it's not allergies because hes received allergy shots, and also takes allergy pills once a week. My mom thought it could be that his hair was getting too long, but we took him for a haircut and he still does it. Does anyone have an idea why he does this?
It's probably some sort of dermatitis. I would take him to the vet as soon as you can so it doesn't spread to other areas of his body.
*Just a note* If the hair seems to be falling out in rings, it could be ringworm. It is highly contagious, itches like hell, and needs to be seen by the vet so that they can prescribe a medication. Don't use over the counter human medicine because the ringworm is around his snout, so they are easily lickable, and if he injests the medication that could lead to more problems.
It could also be a tooth problem. Yes, that sounds strange, but if a tooth cracks all the way up to the root, it may cause an abcsess (A pocket of pus), something that is very painful. Check his teeth, and also around his face for swollen areas.
But if it looks like it is a skin condition, definitley take him to the vet (well, take him to the vet no matter what, lol) and always wash your hands after you touch him. Keep him away from other pets, too.

what can dogs eat?
why not chocolate?
i see tv/movies where the owners just let the dog eat off their plate. isnt that bad?
Dogs can eat dry dog food, and if you absolutely have to feed them stuff from plates make sure that it is only veggies, and only if they aren't fried, in a sauce, or salty. Basicly the only veggies I would recommend feeding are ones that have been boiled, steamed, or baked. But if you are feeding dog food to your do already your dog doesn't really need anymore food.
Also, don't give your dog onions, chicken (unless you are 100% positive there are no bones), lamb (again, no bones), no salad, and no fruit.
And what you can feed your dog off the dinner plate: rice, beef (but no sauces, marinades, etc), potatoes (but not french fries).

I know this isn't really asking for advice, but the last few days I was just thinking about this and wondering why the people here joined.
I guess it is just out of pure curiosity. I would have just posted this in the moderator forum or in the supporter discussion, but I'd rather see why everyone joined rather than just those who have been here for some time and such.
So, why did you join advicenators and why are you still here? What about the site made you want to stay?
I'll probably be one of the first people to answer this (I'm not going to answer it in the question).
S_C
:]
I joined this site to seek advice on everything from cooking, pets, and relationships. I was looking for a website that answered each individual's questions, not just FAQ's the site administrator made up and answered him/herself. Hopefully that makes sense =)
Now, I mostly give advice, because I am a know-it-all and enjoy showing off, which is probably why I'm still here, I like feeling smart. I still ask questions once in a while.

Did you give me a three because I gave you one song? You clearly stated that you needed "a really sad song." 'A' means singular, so I gave you the saddest song I could think of. Your welcome.
Hi
I live in a FL home and on my kitchen surfaces a huge colony of ants has settled !!
is there a way i can get rid of them without poisoning the kitchen surfaces?? and is it expensive
the ants are small and brown they're tiny and look like regular ants in mini form they dont sting or anything but they get everywhere in food too! help please
thanks in return
Instead of calling the exterminators, which can get very expensive, you can just buy an ant killer. It should look something like a hairspray bottle, and it works like one, too. You just lightly spray the ants, and they die immediately. The spray is full of chemicals, and if you are going to use a lot I would definetly open up the windows and let it air out. I would suggest leaving the kitchen for an hour or so. Then just wipe the ants, and you can go over it again with a wet washcloth to wipe away the chemicals. Also, go outside and look for any cracks in the walls that ants got through to your kitchen. Spray those, but don't wipe them.
A more natural way to do it, is also a spray, but it doesn't have any harmful chemicals: its made up mostly of oranges. You just spray the ants, and they die. This stuff takes a bit more sprays to work, and the ants take longer to die, and your kitchen will smell like oranges for a week, but it isn't as toxic as the spray mentioned above.
To prevent the ants from coming back, keep you food sealed in airtight jars, bags, and containers. Kill any ants that you see in your house: they are ants the colony sent out to search for food. If they find anything, then prepare for another ant attack.

I'm a 19 year old female and I'm getting married in a week. I love the man I am marrying I do but last week we went on a trip to meet his family for the first time. I have tried so hard to please and impress his family but sometimes it feels like nothing I do is good enough for them. At this point I don't care anymore but since we have been on this trip my fiance has been acting differently towards me. He makes fun of me which sometimes gets annoying and a lil hurtful, and he wants me to do everything for him but whenever I ask him to do something he won't do it but throws a fit when I won't do shit for him. It seems like this is a completely different man than I fell in love with. What do I do? Should I still marry him or should we take a break? please help me...
Talk to him. He could be stressed out from the wedding, or because his family doesn't like you. Ask him what's wrong, why he's different all of a sudden. What ever you do, don't say that you won't marry him unless his attitude changes, because that will either make him very mad, or change his attitude, but change back after the wedding. Ask him if he sure he wants to do this.
You are the only one who can decide what to do. If the answers he gives you to your questions are unsatisfactory, you might as well take a break. If he seems honest and willing to change, you might again want to take a break and see how things go.
But in my opinion, it seems that the wedding and his family's behavior are stressing him out and hurting him. You are the one who knows him, and you are the only one who can make the right decision.

okay. I'm a 15 year old girl. I'm a straight A student and I'm in all honors/advanced classes. I'm going into the 10th grade. And I have one AP Euro class. well...this is where the problem comes in. I procrastinate too much. I come home from school at 2:30. And I have ballet at 6 o'clock. In between that time...There is NO way that I can force myself to do homework. so what do I do? I procrastinate and go on the computer. Should I take a nap instead? Okay...so then after I have ballet lessons which are one hour each (Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) (Wednesdays are 2 hours) I get home. I eat dinner, shower, etc etc. When all that is finished..it's already 8 o'clock (9 on wednesdays). And I haven't done ANY of my homework. So I start doing it...and I don't finish until like 12 (or even later). I have problems waking up at 6 A.M because of this. And my problem presents and even bigger problem because of how it distracts me :( (You see, I have friends online...and I don't want to not be able to talk to them because of homework). What can I do to limit the amount of procrastination in my 10th grade year? Thanks in advance :( Are naps recommended during free time? If so, how long? Please help..
Wow.. I can relate to you sooo much. Except I swim every day for two hours, and it takes me half an hour to get there.
I think as you leave in the morning for school, you should ask a member of your family to hide your laptop, and then after you come home from ballet, give it back to you. That way after school you can do all your homework, and then chat with your friends when you come back from ballet.
Another thing I read, is to set an alarm clock. For example, you come home at 2:30, and set the alarm clock to ring at 3:30, or less dependng how much homework you have. When it rings, shut the computer. If you were chatting with someone, warn them ahead of time that you are going to go at exactly 3:3O, and not to be offended. Then take the laptop somewhere out of you sight, and do your homework. When you are done with all of it, you can then go back on the computer, or take a nap.
Good luck!!

okay so my boyfriend is only a year older but a year is a lot with us because im going into seventh grade and he is going into eighth. He always tells me about how his best friend got to third in a cemetery and stuff and well i know that he wants to go farther too. and if he tries to touch my boobs or take off my shirt i always tell him no because i dont want him to see the stretch marks on my boobs. what should i do.
thanks xox
You shouldn't do anything. You are in SEVENTH grade. That's really young. If you do things with him right now, the next steps in the relationship will come more easily, leading to sex, pregnancy, STD's, and loss of a good reputation. Why do it? Wait until you do the next step in the relationship in high school. If he is still around 'til then, and you have educated yourself properly on std's, sex, etc, then I guess it's okay to do it. (I say I guess because even ninth grade is too young to do it.)
And stretchmarks are completely normal. They heal with time, and alot of people have them.
But please, wait. Don't get pressured into anything you don't want to do or don't feel comfortable doing.

think of your DREAM house.
and tell me something about it.
something special.
dont tell me "it has a living room"
tell me something different about it.
like how the hall, is a hall of mirrors.
or how the fifth floor is a paintball range or something.
or even somthing about the outside.
how all the windows are shaped like bongs.
or your secret garden right before the bar on the beach.
:)
things like that.
thankk yoouuu
My bedroom would have the walls made out of fish tanks, with beautiful blue and purple-colored fish inside. The whole room will have a purple theme, and will be semi-dark.
Oh, and I'm going to have a walk-in closet, like the Asian girl (Paris?) from the Suite Life of Zack and Cody has.

okay, this summer ive been having a sleeping issue. i can't get to sleep untill about hm 5 30 / 6. and then i sleep through the whole day. sleeping pills from over the counter do not help me. at all. even with them i can fall asleep till like .. 3 which isnt really any better. really my main issue is school starts Sept. 5 and its Aug. 18th. i dont have much time to change this. how can i?
if i stay up for like 24 hours, and go to bed [with a sleeping pill] at like.. nine. then take a sleeping pill the next day and sleep at like nine again and continue that will i get back on schedule?
PS. i can NOT get to the doctors office.
No matter what, set the alarm clock to seven o' clock every day, and no matter what, go to bed at ten. You are not allowed to sleep during the day. After a week or so, you should be going falling asleep just fine. And yes, you will be pretty darn tired during the day from lack of sleep, but don't give up. After a week, if you STILL have trouble falling asleep, take the sleeping pill, but still go to bed at ten and wake up at seven.

Ok, so i was supposed to get two shots 2 months ago. but i keep distracting my mom so she doesnt remember to make an appt. haha :D
well eventually im going to have to go to the doctors again and get the shots ]: when i do have to go get them im going to get so scared. i start crying when people even bring needles around me. how can i stay calm when their going to give it to me. i know breath in and look at the wall. but it doesnt work for me. what can i do?
IF YOU HAD A PHOBIA OF NEEDLES AND YOU HAD TO OVERCOME IT YOUR ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT! IF NOT ITS STILL WELCOME!
thanks so much :D
Whatever you do, do NOT look at the needles. Tell the nurse beforehand that you are scared of needles, and not to let you see them. She probably will start talking about a random subject as she prepares the area for the shots. For example, my nurse asked me what my favorite food was, and as I was thinking, she gave me the shot. It was all over before I even had time to react and think about it. If it doesn't seem like she is plannning to talk about some random subject, ask your mom to ask you random questions during the process of giving the shots.

i'm really really bored with all the books i have read. i'm ready for a new good one. i don't like to read books that are about life, but more like one's that tell a story. i would like to start a new series. i like the harry potter books and sisterhood of the traveling pants. i'm 15 and female. i am smart so nothing that's really easy to read but nothing that takes to much thinking either. any suggestions?
Gone With the Wind - Margaret Mitchell.
It is a very good book. It starts out just a tad slow, but you really get into it.
I am also in the process of reading My Antonia by Will Cather for school, and its really good so far.
~Maria, 16
okay, about a month ago a guy i liked asked me "whats up" and i was like "nothing" and then i said "whats up" and he said "nothing" LOL. its funny looking back now but back then it was sooo awkward.
do you say "nothing" or do you launch into a full account of what you've done all week? im confuseedd. btw this applies to people you're not total strangers with BUT don't really know well enough to give a full account of everything that's happened in the day.
honestly, i think there should be an unspoken social rule that acquaintances dont say "whats up" to each other. =[
thanks in advance lovess
Well, usually if someone asks me that question, I just say one exciting thing that happened, is happening, or will happen to me. It's a great conversation starter. For example:
"What's up?"
"Well... prom's tonight!"
"Blahblahblahblah"
*Smile and nod*
"Blahblahblahblah"
"So how are you doing?" (Or reflect the same question back at them; "So what's up with you?", and they will probably answer in the same way you did, another topic starter.)
