I'm 16/f and my friend is 16/m. He hangs out with me everynight, and I see him every morning before school. Do you think I should just not answer his calls and kind of avoid him for a couple days? I'm not mad or anything, I just want to see how many times he'll call & what not. Is this a bad idea? I just want to see if he'll think about me more, once he realizes he hasn't seen/talked to me in awhile.
What kind of outcome are you looking for? Are you trying to boost your self esteem in someway? If not & he does end up worrying about you, what good did it do? I don't think it's a good idea to play mind games with your friends - or anyone for that matter. If you have a good reason to take a break from your friend (ex: you spend too much time together & need your alone time), then that's fine to back off a bit. But it'd be respectful if you talked to your guy friend & made him aware of the changes. If you suddenly start ignoring him, not only is it rude, but he's going to think something is wrong - which might cause an argument. Be a good friend & don't avoid him. If you really want to know how much he cares about you, ask him yourself.

No, that's completely absurbd. There's absolutely no way it can get "lost". The tampon can't really go anywhere - atleast not anywhere you wouldn't be able to reach with your fingers. You have nothing to worry about.
I don't understand why girls don't like the "sweet" or "nice" guys anymore..All my friends that are girls, like the "Bad boys" or the "Jocks". I like one of my friends, but she likes one of the "bad boy" guys...How can I get her to realize that I could probably be a better boyfriend than him...(14/M)
First off, not every single girl falls for the "bad boy" type. I know I am not one of them. Someone who is rebellious, arrogant & self centered is not attractive in my eyes (if you want my opinion). But that's because I consider myself to be more mature than most people my age. I believe people who go after the "bad boy" type are usually attracted to the image more than the person. Most girls are usually in because a) they're thrill seekers b) they're immature or insecure or c) because they have poor judgement & are doing it out of rebellion themselves. For most girls, it's just a phase that'll last till their 20s - give or take. But when they actually mature & decide it's time to settle down with someone, they're going to settle for someone who's mature & treats them nice. So in the end, the nice guys win. All I can suggest is continue to be the nice guy that you are. You'll be noticed, I can promise you that.
do you think it's reasonable for a seventeen-year-old girl to be forbidden to get rides from her friends? i mean, my mom and dad don't let me drive around with my friends. it's not like they're fucking drug dealers or anything, they just don't like it. i try to be empathetic and see things from their point of view, but i don't. i don't argue with them unless i really disagree, and i just don't think it's fair. please tell me if i'm being totally uncooperative in feeling this way. and what can i do to get them to ease up a little? i hate not being able to go anywhere unless they pick me up and drop me off.
I actually have a friend your age & is only allowed to get rides from her parents as well, so don't feel like you're alone out there. Your parents are just concerned & would feel responsible if anything were to happen to you. You should be thankful your parents care about you & are looking out for your safety. You can try making an agreement that you won't ride in a car with more than one other teen (since there's not that much of a distraction for the driver). I know it may be tough & maybe, at times, embarassing or a hassle. But once you're 18, I'm sure you'll have more freedom.
for the past like 3 months or so the week after i get off my period i get sick.. it sucks majorly, so i was wondering does it lower your immune system or is it just a bunch of coincidences, and if it does, will birth control help it? because usually i only get sick once or twice a year and this sucks...
What kind of symptoms do you experience? I know being weak/tired/faint is probably a sign that you're anemic & losing a lot of blood. No matter what it is, if it's a "major" problem that's affecting your daily life, you should set up an appointment with your gynecologist. They'll be able to answer all your questions & birth control may end up being an option. Hope all goes well!

i am wondering can someone mistake their period for spotting and in acuality be pregnant?
I'm sure you'd be able to tell a difference in heaviness between your period & spotting. But put your worries to rest & just get a pregnancy test if you have any reason to believe you could be pregnant.
i have kinda of curly frizzy hair and i straighen it everyday. Im going to florida in april and im not gunna have time to strighen my hair everytime i take a shower. is there antying, such as shampoo, conditioner, cream, spray, anything that would make my hair straight, if not just a little straight? also is there anything i can put in my hair when its wet that when it drys there would be pretty curls and not fizzy ones and can withstand the heat?

Well...there is this boy in my class who picks on me everyday.He only makes fun of me and not the other girls in the class.I laugh when he makes fun of me but on the inside it hurts me!and one of my friends encourages him and that hurts me too.What should I do???

Next time, don't laugh. Maybe he thinks you're taking it lightly & doesn't realize he's hurting you. But if he's intentionally trying to hurt your feelings...talk to your teacher. Tell him/her your situation & I'm sure she'll take care of it. Other than that, all you can is learn to ignore it. There are going to be a lot of people who try to bring you down in life, but you just can't let them.

what's the maxium number of hours you can leave a tampon in? Because I'll wear one right before I go to school and I'll leave it on for..6 and a half hours and change when I get home? Because the school washrooms are dirty and I don't go home for lunch
About 6-8 hours. The frequently the better, but 6 & half hours should be fine.
ok i went out with a guy this summer he was pretty much the definition of asshole - i was unexperienced and um, not very assertive, so he ended up using me, cheating on me with AT LEAST 3 girls in a period of 2 months, and smoking right in front of me after i told him over and over how much i hated it. and we hardly even talked. it was the stupidest relationship ever, and unfortunately my first, but at least i learned a lesson. we go to different schools so we hardly hung out when we were going out, and i havent seen him since the day before i broke up with him, we dont talk much... i try to be nice to him if he like messages me or anything but its usually just a "hey whatsup" conversation. anyway now, 4 or 5? months later he decides to talk to me on myspace again. and hes telling me that he misses me and his friends think we should go out again (im not that stupid). he said he really wants to see me again (meaning he really wants to see if he can get with me again) and i dont know what to tell him. i would hang out with him as a friend but it would be sooo awkward cause my friends and i and him are so different. and we hardly talked when we went out so now with this awkward situation it would be worse. i dont know how to tell him i dont want to see him again though. i told him i like another guy. hes not taking the hint. any suggestions?
I have been in this EXACT situation. I'm someone who believes in forgiveness & second chances. But don't do that to yourself. By accepting him back, he's going to think you're interested..which will only allow him to walk all over you again. You need to stand up & respect yourself by telling him that seeing you again is not a good idea. Don't be one of these dumb girls who settles or makes time for guys like that. There are plenty of other guys out there WITH RESPECT, that would love to hang out with you & treat you better than he ever did.
I'm 14/F. The last time I got my period was the first two weeks of January. Now it's early March. I haven't gotten my period latley. My breasts are sore, that is all. I don't have abdomnial pains either. Also, I haven't been been doing sexual intercourse. I'm really nervous, what is wrong?

If you haven't been sexually active since your last period, then there's absolutely nothing wrong. You're still at the point where your period is going to be irregular, so don't worry!
I have guys friends right and i have a bf. Is he getting jealous & upset only because you talk to them or is it because you flirt with them as well? Either way - you need to talk to him & reassure him that you're interested in him & him only. If he can't trust you & expects you to not talk to ANY guy friends, then you're sticking around for a horrible & controlling relationship. Don't ever let a guy tell you to not talk to your own friends. A good boyfriend will never act that way unless he had a very good reason to.

Gatorade, believe it or not, has a lot of sugar. By sticking to water (& plenty of it), it should help you lose weight, but I wouldn't say a LOT considering you don't have good eating habits. It's recommended you drink atleast 7-8 glasses a day.
My good friend who's a girl, is having sex. I am trying to tell her that she needs to have her boyfriend where condoms, but she says she hates having them. She is on the pill, but I tell her there is still a chance for pregnancy. Anyway I can help her understand this?
Another of her excuses is this: Her and her boyfriend were both virgins until each other, so they dont have stds, thats why she wont wear a condom.
And another one of my friends who just got married had a kid on accident, condom broke, and she was NOT on birth control.
It's great you're looking out for your friend, but you have to realize that these are her own decisions. She's on the pill & although it's not 100% effective, it's a lot better than no protection at all. I know you're worried & you should be because this is your friend! But these decisions are her own & she'll deal with the consequences if they happen to come. Expressing concern for them is all you can really do, the rest is up to her.
my hair is totally wrecked!
i use a curling iron as a straightener for a while and i think it destroyed my hair.
it has split ends and is really poofy and frizzy.
what kind of shampoo/conditioner/hair treatment will make my hair healthier??

1.) Right now: get a trim. I'd suggest atleast an inch off to get the split ends. & then continue to get trims every 4-6 weeks.
2.) Get a really good shampoo & conditioner. I use DUMB BLONDE by Bedhead & it works great. You can find Bedhead products @ any Toni & Guy hair salon or salons that may carry it. They're typically $25-$32 per bottle, but if you're lucky: you can get them on sale for a lot cheaper. After I started using this shampoo & conditioner made specifically for dyed/highlighted hair, I refuse to buy anything else because it is THAT good.
3.) Wash your hair every other day. I know it's really hard for me not to, but it's actually very unhealthy to wash it everyday.
4.) Buy a straightener instead of a curling iron if you want to straighten your hair. I'm the person who has gone through every brand of straightener & have finally found the one worth buying. It's an ANDIS Ceramic straightener & you can find it @ Walmart for a little under $20. It's VERY affordable & does a WONDERFUL job for the price it's at. I use that straightener about 5 times a week & so far, it's lasted me more than 6 months.
5.) After showering & before blowdrying or any kind of styling/straightening you do, apply SUNSILK Anti-Poof 24/7 Creme. I think a bottle usually runs for about $3-$4 at any drugstore.
6.) After you're done styling/straightening your hair should feel nice. But if you WANT, you can also use a product called S-FACTOR Dream Drops. It's about $35 at Toni & Guy, but it'll usually last you a long time, so it's worth it. It smooths out any frizz and makes your hair a lot softer & "lighter" (in my opinion).
You should be good with the shampoo & Sunsilk Creme, but those are the few products I've found that work wonders!

The price varies for each salon & city. The best advice I can give you is to search tanning salons in your area & find the ones who do mystic tans & see how much each salon charges per session and/or per month. & pick the one within your price range. :)
