Well lately ive had low self asteem in myself. i feel like i have no chance with every guy i like. im starting too be uncomfy with things i was comfortable like being tall as i am [5 11]. Well now all i think is no guy would go out with me because im tall and black. iunno what to do but i hate feeling this way. i really need some good advice!
P.S last yr i wore lower cut shirts and flirted mroe and was more loud and guys liked me. i feel like i had to b slutty to get guys to like me. should i go bac to that or waht can i do to get the same result?

Hun, you should never try to act like a slut to get guys, you need to do what you are comfortable with. Any guy who wants a girl for being a slut, is just going to use you, and abuse you, and end up breaking your heart. All the guys I know, prefer taller girls to short ones, I mean I am 5'3 and I have had guys not want to date me because i am short. I don't think it matters how tall or short you are, guys all have different prefrences. So my advice to you is to just give it time, and eventually that will pay off, because you will find a guy who is genuine and will like you for you, and not for being a slut.

Well i have brown eyes..and BLAH! i hate them..they are so dark and ..to me ..ugly!
all the gorgeous girls have blue eyes and i really wish i could have blue eyes..and im definately not getting colored contacts..my brown eyes make me feel so ..ugly. i always say to myself..if you were to have blue eyes you would be so much prettier..and i like this guy..but i think he likes his ex again..and what does she have? blue eyes. and i have brown hair..so on me i think it looks so ugly! i dont want to dye my hair blonde tho haha. on some girls brown hair and brown eyes is gorgeous..just not me. what do i do..my brown eyes are making me feel so..ugly.. =[

Hey hun, all teenagers go through this stage of thinking that they have stuff on them that is ugly, I am guessing you are a teenager, but if your not I am sorry, but I mean I am 15 and I think I am ugly no matter what people tell me, it is just something teenage girl go through...I have brown hair and brown eyes and I have a boyfriend....I think brown hair and brown eyes are prettier than blonde and blue eyes...I mean that is just so steriotypical...and guys think of blonde hair and blue eyes as more of a slut than a person with brown hair and eyes...well that is what all my guy friends say...and i have a lot...So really it is just a matter of self-confidentce...I bet you are really a beautiful girl, who just needs to boost up her self-confidence a bit... So try looking in the mirror everyday and telling yourself in a confident voice that .."YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL" trust me it makes you feel a lot better!

In person is harder to do, but it is easier for the one you are breaking up with, so deffinatey in person.

I'm 14. Me and this guy started going out last June. We didn't know it but my "friend" had been taking pictures of us making out and posted them on her picture website. Then someone turned them into my principal and she showed them to my parents. So my parents forced me and him to break up in September. Me and him stayed extremely close and broke up like my parents said but it's like we're going out. It's just not official. Even thought it's liek we're going out, I just want to be able to call him my boyfriend because I hate it when people ask me if we're going out and I have to say no because my parents made us break up. They're starting to let us do more together. But I want to talk to them about letting us be a couple again and I just don't know how to convince them. I'll prob talk to my dad about it without my mom there because he's more open with talking about what I actually want instead of everything his way. Thanks in advance!

You need to just tell your parents exactly how you feel, dont give a lot of attitude to them when you tell them, and just really tell them that like him a lot, and you just really want to be with him...

Hii!! Im 15/f and Allrite so this might be kind of long..sorry about it tho! Well last night me and my cousin we to the A Bantams hockey game..and well she goes to a different school than me..and we went to the A bantams game of her school..well i thought this one kid was really cute ..ive seen him before but i dont even think he knows who i am or that i even exist..and well he plays on the A Bantams so i got to like watch him play. And after their first game me and my cousin were out in the lobby area and this kid ..his name is Kevin (the one i thought was really cute) walks by and when he walks out the door my cousin is like there are you happy that you saw him!!? And i was like what i didnt even see him..and she was like are you kidding me?! The one that was like staring at you. And yeah i dont think he was looking at me..and plus his ex was right behind me with these other girls from his school..and they are gorgeous and i still think they have something. And so i kind of like him (Kevin)...well i cant like him because i dont know him (you know) kinda confusing but i would like to like let him know that i at least exist and maybe we could hangout sometime? But my cousin isnt all that popular and doesnt hang out with him..or any of those girls or any of his friends so there is NO WAY that she could help me with this..and I dont have AIM either..and i dont want to install it either. I dont know..i am kind of shy too. And his ex and the girls with her kept like staring at me because i think they heard when my cousin was like "there are you happy you saw him now" so i dont know! i would feel stupid going up to him..he doesnt even know me??! I NEED HELP! SUGGESTIONS?! Mabye something not so embarassing or that would take confidence..because trust me i lack that area.. =[ I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS KID!! i dont know what it is about him..

Well hun it deffinately sounds like you have a big crush on Kevin, and I can totally see why this is botherin g you and all...but here is the bad part...you say you lack confidence and everything, but how are you ever going to be able to talk to him..I mean if your cousin cant help you, then the only alternative is you going and talking to him. Maybe the next time you go to a game of his, you can go up to him after the game and tell him that he played great..and then just start talking to him, but dont act all desperate or nervous, you need to have confidence, and yes i know you say you lack that, but if you truely like Kevin as much as it sounds like then you will just go up to him and talk to him...

I'm 14/f and one of my hobbies is model horses (the plastic/resin horses that people collect). I'm not an obsessive collector or anything *shudder*, I'm just interested in horse sculpture.
So I just want to know if anyone (generally my age) thinks that this is a neat hobby or not, if it's common at all, or would you be surprised/embarrassed if a friend had this hobby.. If you have any opinions at all about it, I'd like to know. Thanks!

Hun, if you like it then why do you care what other people think? If they think it is weird or anything, then just arent a good person...If you have fun and enjoy your hobby, then disregard any negative things a person may say about it, and just enjoy it!!

What kinda styles and brands are "in" right now?
For my birthday and christmas present I get a big shopping spree to re-do my wardrobe and I wanna get clothes that are in and will probably stay in for a little while! Thank youuu!!

If you are a prep then Abercrombie, Hollister, Forever 21, and American Eagle. If your not a prep then i dont think you would care that much about fashion...so hope I helped.

I have a really great boyfriend and we've been going out for almost 4 months. I'm really jealous of any girl talking to him or him looking at another girl. what am i suppose to do i know i shouldn't be like this it's not fair to him. I have other guy friends and hes fine with it so why can't i be ok with him having other friends that are girls. what should i do???

I have the same problem, only my boyfriend does care when i have boys that are friends. I think the thing to do is just to realize that if he really cares about you then he is not going to do anything to hurt you, and yes it is probably still going to hurt you when you see him talking to another girl, but you just need to remember that you are his girlfriend, and if he does anything to you then he is not worthy of a relationship with you...

Do not do it online...it is just stupid, and she will not get the full effect.. i would recommend doing it in person, but if you are nervous then on the phone.

I'm in my school play "Annie" and my best friend is having a cast party at her house afterwords and the kid I like is going to be there...theres going to be music and dancing and just basically hanging around with everyone but I dont know how to act around him because I'm a little shy around guys plus there is going to be like 40 people there so how am I going to casually make my way over to him with out making a fool out of myself?

When you see hiim just walk over and be like "hey whats up, how are you?" and just start conversation, maybe about the play or about any other common interest between you too. So just dont act shy or nervous just act yourself!

I'm breaking up with my boyfriend. This is seriously going to be so hard for me to do because I completely adore this boy, but I can't see our relationship going anywhere because now I realize I can only see him as a friend. He's just not boyfriend material which sounds shallow but I don't think he's right for me or I'm right for him. I've been going out wiht him for a month an a half and he's been so sweet. Like, treating me like a princess but I just don't feel attracted to him anymore and I've given it time but everytime I see him, I wish he was just my friend and not my boyfriend. I'm going to break up with him soon. What should I say? What should I avoid saying?

You need to tell him everything you just told us. You need to tell him that you really like him a lot, but you just dont think of him as a boyfriend, just more of a really good friend, now dont say the typical line of..."lets breakup, but lets be friends...." just sounds to steriotypical...You really just need to explain yourself..and he will take it hard, but that is expected but if he is understandable and a good person, he will come around to except you decision.

ok so i have to give an informative speech in my speech class tomorrow and i have no clue what to talk about!! can anyone tell me something interesting to talk about that will actually be interesting to the class? also what could be a good visual aid for it? thanx!

Well i jsut gave an informative speech last week, and I did it on skateboarding, and I used a skateboard as my visual aid. But for you, you could use maybe a hobby that you have, that is fun, and you could tell you class about. Or you could do it on a sport, animal, clothing company, or anything else like that...

I get jealous SO easily. I get jealous over just about anything. How do I fix this?

Oh man, i have the same exact problem, and it is soo hard, i mean it just seems everything, from boys, to a girl having a better purse...It sucks...really there is not a lot that you can do except deal with it and understand that you cant have everything...I know it is hard...but really what else can you do?

ok so im 16/f (10th grade) and i really like a guy that i work with!! the only problem is he's 17 (11th grade) and he goes to another school in my district. he's so sweet but sometimes shy but we always have a great time when we work together. do you think i have a chance with him, or how can i get him to open up more?

Well, if you are open with him, then eventually he will just fell more able to open up with him. Now i really dont know your situation, but from what you said it sounds like you have a good chance with him, so just continue being friends, and just try and talk to him a lot so he feels comfortable with you!

my bff has been my bff for as long as i can remember. but since we've been in high school she has really gotten inot the party scene and sexual thing. i do the party thing. so idc. but what has been bothering me is she doesnt care who she hurts, if she wants it she'll do it. my other bff, she is into two guys. both of which are bad guys that arent loyal no matter what. well my 1st bff was at my party last night and she had sex with my 2nd bff's man. one of them. and she told me to not say anything. but i hate this. it happens between the two of htem all the time. what can i do.

I agree with the other people about you sitting the down together and talking to them about it. Because it is not fair that should be the middle man in this situation. So you really need to talk to them about it and tel them how you feel.

ok so im in 8th grade 14/f, and i need to write a paragraph (8-10 sentences) on a treasured memory. This is kind of a gay question but I really can't think of what to write about. I like soccer, field hockey, love the Flyers, and stuff. I rate high for good ideas!! =]~

First of all please to not refer to a question as "gay" that is really just not appropriate.

And, I agree with the person who said that it is hard for us to answer this due to the fact that we dont know you.

But here are some things that you could try and think about....

-Maybe if you play sports one game that really stood out
-One time you and your friends had a really fun day
-A fun vacation you have been on

I need a job but I'm only 14. My sister who is 16 takes all the babysitting jobs, so I have nothing to do, execpt maybe once a year I pet sit. I am to young to get a job and a store or some place like that, so I don't know what to do. I really need some money right now, but I can't find a job anyware so I'm broke. Any advice??? You should deffinately go to your neighbors and ask if they need help with anything, and grocery stores are a good place to look too.

Okay So to make a super long story short...i met this guy about a week ago(on the internet)....and i lied to him about what i looked like...where i lived, etc. etc. and well 2 days after meeting him, he found out i was fake and i had to confess and he stopped talking to me...well 2 days ago i IMed him and asked if we could start over...and he said no...he told me he was thinking about talking to me but not anymore because he thinks i'm weird and obsessed with him (because i was constantly sending him messages to try and explain) and i sent him one last message on myspace saying that if he would have just listened to me from the beginning then i wouldnt seem so stalker-ish.... :( is there any hope for me and him to become friends again in the future? or should i just forget him? I dont want to forget him because he is super nice and pretty cool from what i can tell...should i try and make things work or should i leave him alone and let him come to me....WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?!?!?!? Thanks to anyone who answers :)

Hmmm... it really sounds like leaving him alone may be the best option. So maybe just give him some time, and maybe he will just come around and start talking to you some more...But really I think the best idea for now is to just leave him alone.

Wow, when you ask a question like this i think you may need to elaborate on it just a bit more. But i will help you with what i can. Ok, so i am not sure what you really mean by want...Like do you want him to want you sexually? If so you need to play his mind...Like maybe make moves that will just make him want you and flirt with him. Now if you mean just want him to go out with you...then you need to FLIRT! and you need to get to know him....But if he knows your flirting with him...then that may help..also little hugs help..
