you need to relax I think when you talk to guys. You can't be so tense. &there are going to be some silences. I mean you both can't alwaysbe saying something right? Well sometimes paps' can be really uncomfortable. Just the whole situation. The awkwardness, of the procedure. Sometimes the clasps(equipment) the nurses/doctors use is smaller. I do know there a are certain sizes they could use to hold open the vagina. Maybe the clasps they used on you were too small and it wasn't comfortable. I've had to pap tests total. My first pap didn't hurt it was just weird. My second was very hurtful. I was sore for a little while.
But I'm just the pain is minor and you'll be alright. Ifnot consult with your doctor and exlain the situation.
