I am getting really worried about my mom lately. She has been obsessed with facebook for about a year now, she is on it for about 3-4 hours a day, every week.My dad has to work about 10-13 hours a day, and he has to clean around the house, because my mom is to lazy lately. My dad and my grandparents think that the family relationship is getting demolished. Somtimes my mom will lock herself in her bedroom on a video call with a "friend" named Tony. One time i satyed on the other side of the door and I heard: "this gets easier after a while right?" and "Well, i think i should go before one of gets in trouble." I did a study last weekend to see how long she spent on facebook. She was awake 13.5 hours, and 5 hours of it was on facebook. She has gotten really mean lately, and cusses at: Me, my dad, her mom ( My grandma)My dog,and my friends and their parents. One day she didnt make dinner ( facebook) and I had to make it myself. She didnt get of of facebook until around 11:30. HELP ME!! MY MOM HAS TURNED INTO AN ADDICTED BITCH!! (link)

It is more common than you think, the only thing you can do is try and have a talk with her. Not just yourself though, bring in everyone that it has effected. Intervention if you will. Sometimes it helps, but you may end up having to do something more drastic such as speaking with your father (if the intervention doesn't work) and talk about disconnecting the internet. You'd be surprised though, some people have gone to rehab due to internet addictions, gaming addictions.. Really, any form of addiction. But first, you should speak to your father, and others who have been hurt by this, and try to come with a solution between all of you. It's always painful to see a family break up, especially over something so trivial.

I've been diagnosed with scabies and have taken six 3mg ivermectin (stromectol) tablets prescribed to me but I was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes the itching to go away. I am still a but itchy tonight and I took these about 3 hours ago. Thanks (link)
| |
Scabies are actually little mites that bite on you.. I'm actually quite surprised though. They gave you tablets instead of an ointment or a body wash to remove yourself of these? I would suggest speaking with your doctor and asking about any ointments or w/e to remove your body of the scabies mite. Either that, or be patient and hope that this medication works. Also, in order to fully rid yourself of scabies, be sure to wash EVERYTHING in hot water. Anything you've touched can and could be infested with these little monsters. (My brother and his family got scabies a few years back) The instructions given to him was to wash everything in hot water, as well as apply an ointment that was given to them to their skin. Within a few days they were better.

okay so recently me and my boyfriend have been trying for a baby and have not had any luck what so even about 4 years ago i thought my hymen broke whilst having sexual intercourse and i bled now that im wanting to have a baby and it not happening im wondering what is going on. now tonight when my partner was fingering me he said he hit like a wall i told him to go further but he couldnt he said there was a little hole there but nothing else he pulled his fingers out and there was alot of blood..... i want to know is my.hymen broken and can i get pregnant? (link)
| |
First of all, that wall with the little hole you feel or he felt, is actually your cervix. It is where the blood comes out during your period, and where your child will first come out when you give birth. As for getting pregnant, whether your hymen broke or not, you can still get pregnant if sperm enters your vagina. If you want a better idea on when to become pregnant, get ovulation kits. It'll cost money, but it'll help you in the long run in telling you whether you are ovulating (ovulation = when your ovary drops an egg for the sperm to fertilize) There are also Ovulation calculators online that can give you an estimate of when would be the best time to try to get pregnant. Just go to google or whatever other search engine you use and type Ovulation Calculator. But, if you have had sex, and there was a bit of blood, a good 99% chance your hymen is already broken. I do not wish to sound mean, rude or whatever, but before getting pregnant, I would suggest you learn a little more about your body (such as your reproductive organs and the lot) before doing so, as well as learning about your ovulation.

Hi. Im a 14 year old tall girl who has a big butt that never stops growing. I'm sick of guys pointing out my butt to me, even though it doesn't really bother me, it just gets annoying when they're always staring at it. It's disrespectful, and I don't like it. This isn't really the reason I want to make it smaller though. It's just an extra. The reason is that I love skinny jeans and when I try them on in the stores, they're fine, even kind of loose, but when I wear them about a month later, I either;
1) Notice that they are getting tighter and tighter by the day (and no, it's not because if the dryer)
2) Notice they don't close when I actually get them up, or
3) See that they no longer fit since my legs are STILL growing (I'm 5"9') and my butt always grows along with it.
Is anyone going through what I am? What would you do in a situation like this?
I've heard of so many different excerises that make your butt bigger, but that is definately not what I'm looking for. I want to know if anyone out there knows of an excersise to make it smaller. Thank you all for answering in advance! (link)

I jut got my period today but it's my first tIme and I'm going to California this summer and I'm gonna be in the water a lot and i dont know what to if I get my period there and I'm scared to use tampons so I don't know what to do other than tell my friend about it or wear black bathing suit bottoms.
Please give me some advice I need some soon cuz I'm leaving soon!!! (link)
| |
The only way to be able to swim while on your period would be with the use of tampons, or other inner vaginal feminine hygiene products. If you were to swim while on your period, that pool would have to be closed up and chemically retreated. Tampons aren't scary at all. Many young girls who aren't knowledgeable about them are often scared. 1 - Tampons do NOT get lost in your body. Your cervix is closed and there for cannot get lost or trapped in your body. 2 - Tampons do not break your hymen. The hymen is surprisingly flexible enough to allow a tampon to easily set inside of you. If you do not wish to use a tampon at all, then you're best bet is to wear whatever, and not go swimming. Just sun bathe. Because pads and water = very embarrassing.

s it weird that i just want to wear regular panties? all of my friends wear thongs like all the time now and they keep telling me i should to...but thongs look really uncomfortable i dont want anything stuck up my but im totally comfortable wearing my normal bikini panties...shud i try wearing thongs? (link)
| |
It is not weird at all. I know many women who cannot stand the feeling of thongs. I believe it is a personal preference. If you would like to try wearing them, it is entirely up to you. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to buy a pair or two, and try a trial run. If you don't like them, toss them. No point in being uncomfortable to make others happy. Do what makes you happy and comfortable. I believe if you're as comfortable with the current underwear you are wearing, stick with it.

Well, I'm a 17 year old boy who lives in Nevada City and basically I met this girl a year ago and I really liked her, so I decided to ask her out. Sadly, she turned me down since she didn't know me that well and she avoided me for a while. Finally, we made amends and we both agreed that we should start over as friends, and as a result we became really close and really good best friends. There has always been a small part of me that keeps wishing that we could date someday but I have been able to shun that part of my brain out...until recently when I have realized how similar we are and how perfect we are together. I don't want to tell her how I feel at the risk of losing one of the best relationships I've had in a long time, but I don't think it's healthy for me to bottle up all my feeling inside... What should I do? (link)
| |
I always believed that it wasn't healthy to "hold in" your feelings. I believe if you like someone, you should tell them. But as you stated, there could be that possibility that she may react the same way again. Perhaps talk to her, and state, that even if she doesn't feel the same way as you do for her, you would still enjoy to continue being friends. If it doesn't work out, do remember, there are many other girls out there who may make you feel the same way as she did.

I am taking contraceptive pills prescribed by doctor for hormonal balance since a month. My periods are due and I am getting brown thick discharge, so can it be considered as first day of period? As I am supposed to start the next cycle of pills on the first day of periods. (link)
| |
It is possibly just old blood that wasn't fully washed out during your last menstrual cycle. It tends to happen from time to time, but it isn't something that you should worry about. If it does persist, and you have any other questions, it is best to speak with your doctor and allow him/her to put your mind at ease.

Does anybody know where I can order those grey/white bags that stores like Kohls, Wet Sea, Old Navey, Deb, etc ship their clothes in when you order online?
I sell stuff on Ebay using boxes and the shipping seems really high for those. I noticed some people on ebay ship using those bags (New ones, they're obviously not recycled from other purchases they made online) I imagine the bags are less to ship so I was hoping anyone knows where I can order them from online or something? (link)

You can typically get these mailing packages at your local post offices. If they aren't there, then check in local stores. Chances are one of them may have what you are looking for. Also, if you would much prefer to order them online, here is a site that may have what you are looking for.

I've decided to take the birth control pill. I'm really scared that it will make me gain weight though.. what can i do to prevent it? (link)
|
A good way to fight weight gain, I would suggest exercising regularly, and eating properly. Different birth controls have different side effects. I would suggest reading the pamphlet that came with your contraceptive. It tells you all the reported side effects as well as studied side effects. If you have any questions about your medicine that you wish to have properly answered, call your pharmacist or your local physician. They can give you all the information that you wish to know.

Guys I need help... my boyfriend and I been together for about 9months I love him with. Every I have and everytime I've been approched by I guy I tell them that I'm in a relation ship it was so easy at first to turn them down when me and him were happy but now... he's been workin so hard and working long hours to pay for school I get that I support him a 100 percent. I'm really tryin to be there but when he's off he's doin other things .. and when we do talk its not the same he's either he's about to do something or to sleepy to talk everybody says he cheatin I dnt believe that but he's never around but I feel he has time for everything else. And I've never been a cheater but to day I came real close.. I feel so bad .. did a mention we are a long distance relationship. Any advice will help I'm breakin down guys.. (link)
| |
I would suggest first, when you are actually able to talk to him, you tell him how you are feeling, and tell him you would like to be able to spend more time with him than he's been allowing. That is if you live within a decent drive from each other. If he ended up moving further away, then perhaps think about the relationship you are currently in and actually think about when you will be able to be together again. Be sure to ask yourself, are you able to wait to see him again, however long it may be? Do you yourself believe he is and will be faithful? Long distance relationships are difficult. Especially if you are in no situation to being able to see them often, it can take it's toll. Remember, if it doesn't work out, it isn't the end of the world, there's a lot of fish in the sea, so they say.

My stepmother and my father have been married for awhile now. She's the classic evil stepmother. She made it so we hardly see our father, he is wipped. She targeted my sister when she was my older 16 (awhile ago) when we didn't call for Mother's day the first year they were married. It was messed up but we were really polite. She emailed my sister mean messages, my sister was only kind back, she got my father to take her of of his insurance once she was 18 (when it would have been FREE to have her on until she's 26 because of the family plan and she's in college). She yelled at my father's sweet mother, threw a present at her head, is really mean to my whole father's side. There is something wrong with her I think, my mother took her emails to a therapist and she said that she is unstable and dangerous emotionally. Now I'm 18 and about to graduate. My father wants to bring her and stunned I said I would try to get her a ticket. Now she emailed my sister saying she "wants to rebuild their relationship" which has happened with my Grandmother in the past and my Grandma would apologize and then my stepmother would do something outrageous and hurtful again.
So I need to know what to do about this. My idea was to tell my Dad that if she comes she can't speak to my mother, sister, or younger brother (not my Dad's son). And that she also can't email my sister. He will probually think I'm being disrespectful but to condone his and her behavior would be the real disrespectful thing to do. Any suggestions? (link)
| |
I believe you should just tell him. If he already knows about the incidents that have been happening, then I suggest you tell him what you want to say. If I were in your place though, I wouldn't let her come either way. As well as tell my father what she has done and been doing to everyone, and show him the evidence. But we are different types of people, so I believe you should just go with your instinct and tell him about not talking to your other family members. Even if it is disrespectful, you can't keep living in that way. Speak up, and make them hear you.

i haven't been eating and its not cause i want to lose weight it just cause i'm never hungry and when i am i just never want to eat and when i do eat i only eat a very small amount and the little food i do eat makes my stomach hurt a lot and makes me want to puke. i have a constant stomach pain whether i eat or not. what should i do about my eating issue and can not eating make you puke? any help would be great. (link)

Have you been under any stress lately? High levels of stress can cause eating problems. Have you thrown up even though you have not eaten? That can be possible. A while back I was under so much stress, I couldn't eat. Even though I hadn't eaten, I still regurgitated. If you are not under stress, like I was, then I would suggest you go to your local physician, as you may have something else wrong with you, such as an illness you will need antibiotics for. If you have been under stress, I would suggest finding the source of this stress and taking care of it. You have to consider your health, right?

I am 2 weeks late. Not been taking pill. But negative pregnancy test?? (link)
| |
If you were on the pill, and stopped taking it, it is a possibility that your body is readjusting itself. From experience, I stopped taking birth control in the past, and my period became erratic, and it took some time for it to properly regulate itself. Most BCP help in menstrual regulation, and stopping from it may have disrupted your BCP regulated menstrual cycle. I stopped taking my BCP after my last period, and waited for a month and a half for it to come back. So either get back on your BCP, or be patient and wait it out. There's not much else you can do.

I have the feeling that I may be pregnant, but it isn't confirmed yet because I have yet to miss my period. But I have been feeling very strange the past couple of weeks. The only reason I am concerned is because I have been off the birth control pill for the past month and I am a smoker.. so if I am, I wanna make sure to quit! Some of the signs/symptoms that I have been feeling include: exhaustion (always tired, no matter how much I sleep), nausea (but no vomiting) at different times of the day, dizziness anytime i stand up (or go from laying down to sitting up), always feeling full (even if I hardly eat anything), pain/cramping in my lower abdomen (almost like period pains, but worse), very sore back and stomach (like my muscles always feel sore), mood swings, getting emotional more than normal, and a very hard stomach area.
I've looked around online to different symptoms and such, and I fit a few of them, but others I do not.. and since I haven't missed my period yet (I'm supposed to get it this sunday) I'm not certain if these are just some effects of going off the pill, that I could be pregnant, or that it's something else. I also have some pregnancy tests, but they are the type that suggest taking them after a missed period to ensure accuracy.
So if you have any insight or suggestions on what my symptoms may reveal, that would be amazing :) (link)
| |
It is a possibility that you may be pregnant, but there's no knowing for sure unless you take a pregnancy test or go to the doctors. Everyone female reacts to pregnancy differently. Some get symptoms while others don't notice a thing. My last pregnancy, symptoms wise, I was more fatigued that usual, not having enough energy, very sleepy. My breasts were tender to touch, life if I were to bath myself and wash them, it would be so painful I would just have the water run of them and hope for the best at cleanliness. Nausea, especially with foods, I couldn't eat the food I usually would eat or really enjoyed eating. But also, menstrual cycles can cause these symptoms. Goodness knows I have met many women with these symptoms just from their period. Also, you may still get your period within the first month of pregnancy. It does happen, so I would suggest taking a pregnancy test now, and after the day you miss your menstrual cycle. If you are getting these symptoms, it may be plausible that you are pregnant, or just in for a very uncomfortable period. It also does not hurt to get extra tests, as some may be faulty. And your doctor can always give you a much better reading!
|
|
What if u took a test and it said no. Then u still miss it. (link)
| |
Sometimes pregnancy tests are not always accurate. As well, it could have also been a faulty test. It never hurts to purchase several others, for a better reading. Though, going to your physicians office for a blood pregnancy test is a lot more accurate. They can easily detect the HGC hormone even if it's a small amount. It wouldn't hurt too, if you went to get a check up, as something else may be wrong if it turns out you are not pregnant.

Is there a pill that can be taken right before sex to prevent pregnancy? (link)
| |
I don't know the exact details about the morning after pill, but I know that with this pill you need to take it within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse. Also, you could also consider putting yourself on birth control. There are many different forms, such as implants, pills, injections, rings, patches, condoms, spermicides. But as for the morning after pill, you can purchase them from your local pharmacy. I don't believe there is an age limit, but if you are under the age of 18, perhaps it would be best to call your local pharmacy and ask them about it.

how to stop my periods after its started (link)
|
There is nothing you can do or take to stop your period. Your menstrual cycle is to "clean" your uterus out. During your ovulation, your uterus creates a lining to hold the egg, if your egg goes unfertilized, this lining detaches itself from your uterine wall and is flushed out via menstruation. You need to allow your body to do its thing. If you are experiencing a lot of cramping, take an over the counter pain reliever, use a heating pad, and/or take a warm bath. If your periods are lasting more than 7 days or seem unusually heavy, talk to your doctor and they might be able to get you on something to get them more regular.

Is there anywhere where I can get a cheap, good laptop? (It can be used, but in great condition.) I need one with a good disc drive, and wireless. I've already got Office. (link)

Your best bet is to look in your local pawn shops, as many people do sell theirs to those shops. Also, if you look on local advertising sites, such as craigslist, or any you have in your area, you may find someone looking to sell theirs. It also wouldn't hurt to look in your local newspapers in the classifieds as well, as like previously stated, you may find people wanting to sell.

After having my period over a wk late I finally got it last nite but its very light at first its brown but now its kinda purple?? I've been dealing with a ton of stress, haven't been sleeping much some nights none at all. For the past 7 months I've had a lot of stress and at this point I'm a lil bit worried is all this normal?? (link)
| |
Changes in routine and stress can affect your period, and it's normal. If this stress continues though, you may wish to consult in a psychiatrist, or perhaps find ways to unwind/destress yourself. If your irregular period is worrisome for you, consult in your doctor and ask about possible options for regulating your menstruation cycle. There are several different medicines available, such as birth controls and what not. But with enough stress, it can alter your flow dramatically, some have even had it stop completely due to stress. Which can sometimes be unhealthy. Also, another consideration is to speak with your doctor to ensure there are no infections. As some infections can mess up your flow as well.
