If you were to swim while on your period, that pool would have to be closed up and chemically retreated. Tampons aren't scary at all. Many young girls who aren't knowledgeable about them are often scared. 1 - Tampons do NOT get lost in your body. Your cervix is closed and there for cannot get lost or trapped in your body. 2 - Tampons do not break your hymen. The hymen is surprisingly flexible enough to allow a tampon to easily set inside of you. If you do not wish to use a tampon at all, then you're best bet is to wear whatever, and not go swimming. Just sun bathe. Because pads and water = very embarrassing. [ Rena-Chan's advice column | Ask Rena-Chan A Question ]
