Hi my name is Lee Ann. I am 29 years old and Graduated from Bethany college obtaining a bachelors of music. I am a happily married woman with two kids, ages3 and 2. I currently have six books out on the market, all of which can be found on amazon. The first is called The Leaf: One fallen heart and a burning desire, my second is called Avengement of Glory, my third is called Spiral of Enlightenment, fourth one is called Prodigy of the Immortal, fifth one is called Augment in the Realm of Darkness, and my sixth novel is called Bond in the Spiritual Heart. I started this advice column to see if I could give good advice. Turns out I am pretty good, better than I thought actually. I enjoy seeing people smile when I give them good advice and they use it. It makes me feel better as a person to help people. I want to make the world a better place and I think that starting an advice column is the right way to begin. Writing is a huge part of my life, without it, I wouldn't be able to function properly. After seven years, I think I have done pretty well as an advice columnist.

I'm a girl and I hate chick flicks. I just think there dumb and pointless, and everyone has the same story line; boy gets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back again. I would rather watch a mob movie anyday. Is that weird? My bf says it is.

Actually no it is not weird. If you a woman who is dependent on the people around them, then you have a girl who likes chick flicks. If you have a woman who is independent and kind of likes to have a say in her own life, she watches more or less gore movies, vampires, mobs, etc.

I am the exact same way, chick flicks have no originality or tone. It is the same storyline over and over again just like you said. Your boyfriend shouldn't complain, its every mans dream to live in a world where they don't have to watch chick flicks with his girlfriend :D

I've never gotten along with other girls. I just think there snobs and like to gossip about everyone else. Surprisingly, I'm actually very girly, I like to shop, I like girly clothes, and doing my nails. But I just have never gotten along with girls for that reason. I have guy friends but no girl friends, is that strange?

I think alot of girly girls are like that. Its not so much you hate girls but you hate how they act and what they do. You prefer the guy crowd because you don't have the drama and guys are so much more fun than girls. Unless you are hanging out with a gay man, you don't have to worry about them taking your boyfriend or someone you like. It is perfectly normal to be a girly girl and really only hang out with guys.

16/f well i have this boyfriend and in 4 days we'll have been together for 2 months. well he's VERY sexually active & wayyy more experienced then me [he's 16 also] but i've only done it once. The best thing before that is to get to know one another. I don't mean personality wise but find out what you like and what he likes. Moaning is not something I really like either and it makes it sound so fake. The best thing to do is stay relaxed and let it come naturally, don't focus on it so much. If you think about what you are suppose to do and when, you will get nervous and make it a bad experience. The point in all of this is to make you happy so telling him things that you like is the best starting point. This could be making out, pleasurable things, feeling, etc.

hey so i'm 19..a sophomore in college and i'm having trouble with working out every day & eating healthy because of all the work i have. I go to the gym every day during most weeks, but not during the weekend usually. i always get hungry after dinner even if i eat a bigger dinner. i don't usually eat a big breakfast or lunch, but i feel like i am just gaining weight. i'm not happy with the way i look and i need to stay on track with some sort of diet. it's hard with the dining halls and the food in our room. please help! i need some suggestions of diet/exercise plans to do! thank you

First thing that is said about diets is that if you cut meals out, you gain weight. You should be have at least 5 meals a day. 3 big meals and 2 in between. The 2 are just little snacks like a granola bar or a tub of apple juice. I would cut out pop if you are drinking it, if you drink alot of water, I would cut it down and start drinking juice. That way you have vitamins getting in your system. Exercising builds your muscles, which results in weight gain not in fat but muscle. If have to take a walk on the weekends or do yoga to keep you relaxed, your in college so you definitely need to stay relaxed.

okay so i like this guy that has been my friend fo years and he said he likes me too, but we are just hanging out and seeing how we adjust to it, but the thing is is he posted this on his status, run away by love and theft, pretty much sums up what i wanna do.... bummed...

Analysis of that status, he is completely happy and wants to run away with love beside him. He is afraid that the love will ruin the relationship. He is bummed because its what he wants but he is scared at the same time. I do alot of analyzing when it comes to literature or poetry lol. If he didn't want to be with you, he would be avoiding you. Being friends for a long time and then falling in love can make things difficult. He is in the middle of choosing between loving you and being your friend. Although he may love, what happens when it doesn't work out, will you stay friends. I think right now he is in the stage of taking every precaution to make sure this is what is right. If he seems a little distant, it is because he is still thinking.

I have really thick thick hair and I want to do bangs but I don't really know how to do them or what kind of bangs look good with thick hair. Can anyone help me figure out the secret to bangs for thick hair? I have tried and it never seems to look good but everyone else seems to be able to do it! Sigh.

The best kind of bangs are the ones on the side. They are called side sweep bangs and they look gorgeous with thick hair. I have really thick straight hair and side sweeps actually mak the hair look less thick. Hi there,

I am trying to pierce my own nose what do i use just the stud and some pliers or a sewing needle or??? I know you can pierce your own nose and my mom isn't going to pay for it so how do I do it myself?

Put some alcohol on the side you want to pierce so it doesn't get infected. You want to make sure you pierce it in the right place because it cause alot of trouble such as bursting a vein or something. The easiest way to do this is to take a permanent marker to mark the spot. You want it centered, and also use a needle it is the easiest way. Thats what they use, I got it pierced in a tattoo shop. When you poke the needle through your nose, and you are pulling through, you need to have the nose ring behind it. These kinds of holes close very fast. Also I would suggest having somewhere there to do it for you because they would be able to see better than you.

I just came back from a trip and I saw people riding a skateboard but doing the most amazin things on it. When I asked them how they were doing stuff they told me to buy a freeboard. So i go to my skate shop and they were like "A what?!?" so were they just playing with me or what?

nope, a freeboard resembles a snow board but it has six wheels. beginner skaters like to use these because of how heavy they are and the six wheels, it help keeps balance. the skate shop you went to might not sell them so you probably need to go to a bigger one or order one off amazon.

can anyone name me some good products that will repair my severely damaged hair?

I straighten my hair everyday for school and i always forget to put on a heat protectant. I blow dry my hair sometimes. I shower almost every night. I use loreal vive pro shampoo and conditioner. i dye my hair like every 3 or 4 months.

sooo yea... my hair is really damaged. If i got it wet, and let it air dry, it is really frizzy and shoulder length and semi straight and semi wavy on the top layers.

any help on how to repair my hair? any good products?

also, since i straighten my hair everyday... do you think i should get a straight perm? is it better to get a straight perm or to straighten it everyday? also, any info on straight perms? how long do they last? costs? any opinons on straight perms vs straightners?

the best shampoo, conditioner, spay on conditioner is tressame or how ever you spell it. I straighten my hair everyday, blow dry it, and dye it th same as you. This brand you can even find in any store, even the dollar stores.

Okay, to the point. I like shows about abilities and suck like telekinesis...but i never really believed it. But, after a day at school with stressful bulls@@t i finally had to study for finals.. but when i went to grab the pen, i swear that it did something..
I don't know what happened, if i tried to do it or what but the pencil rolled at the same speed as my hand movement away from me and under neath my computer monitor(which was next to me on my desk)

Is this just a pile or is some kind of telekinetic or psychic connection reall. if not with me, with other people. Is it even possible or is it just people taking a turn to the first option in there heads.

This may be hard to believe but scientists seem to think that each human being has the capabilities to do extradinary things such as seeing the future, mind reading, telekinesis, etc. Only a few are able to connect with these abilities. My brother is one who experiences like out of body experiences while he is sleeping. This only happens for a few seconds but he can see himself sleeping.

I am very different. I can feel other peoples emotion even when I have never gone through they had. Sometimes out of impulse I answer questions that people hadn't even asked...yet. Its not something I mean to happen but I do often wonder what happened was real or not.

I can understand your reluctance in reality of this. I believe that you were so focused that made th pencil move. You had a strong connection to it when you went to grab it. I don't think you are crazy at all but you might think that I am :) I would experiment with it a bit more, you may not get it at first but onc you have done research and stuff, I think you can make it into something bigger.

I believe in love. What I don't believe in is that people these days even know what true love is. I've asked some people to give me one couple that is happy and none of them could tell me any. No one is happy these days. No one wants to do anything to change that either. I mean when I go to the doctors or anywhere people are so bitter because their obviously not happy doing what their doing. I mean my parents always say I need to go to college and get good grades and stuff. I know I should go to college and I need to to get a good job, but what if I want to be happy? I want to travel, and have fun, and be happy doing what i'm doing with whoever i'm with. Am I wrong? It seems to me like everyone has given up on trying to be the best that they can be, on being happy, on true love, doing the job they WANT to be doing. I just want to know your oppinion on the subject.

I know what you mean, love seems to be dying out. My passion has always been to teach and I am told I will be great at it. My mom always told me to follow my heart but I have other family members who think otherwise. Based on the economy, alot of people are giving up on their dreams. Also high schoolers are getting pregnant before they even graduate and it is really hard to earn a degree when you are a sing full-time parent.

My first book that I got published actually talks about the difficulties of love and the things that happen along marriage. You find yourself contradicting every thought and if you think you are in love with someone then it alters your decisions altogether. It is hard to live a life that you want when you have the other partner to consider. I may be wrong but that is what I think.

Well me and my mom had a talk about boys the other day and she knows the boy that I liked , and I told her that we have bee dating for 11 months , she wasn't mad she just told me not to have sex and she to me to try and stay focus on my school work. Which I have been doing , I just got my report card and I got good grade . But I was wondering if I should tell my father or should I not tell him ? I mean I talk 2 my dad nut we don't have that close realtionship like me and my mother do . So what do you think . Should I wait a little bite to tell him or should I just tell him now .

The question is do you think your father would want to hear it from you or someone else? Prolonging these things will make the relationship more awkward. Your father is probably more oblivious to boys than your mother and he probably wouldn't like the idea of you dating. But, he would also want to try and have an open relationsip by telling him what is going on in your life. These tend to get out, even secrets, and how do you think he would feel if he heard from some stranger that his daughter was dating some boy. It would be better if it came from you even if he doesn't give the best reaction. That reaction will be 100% better than the reaction of him finding out from a stranger.

Hi Advicenators! I was reading the news today and saw that some guy in the U.S. army named Major Nidal Malik Hasan killed and injured his own guys from Fort Hood Army post with two pistols! I'm really shocked because I know that there are some pretty high ranks you can earn in the Army and these guys are suppose to be trained to defend us, not attack each other.

Well, how high of a rank is (or was) Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan then? Is Major higher than Lieutenant? I'm just curious how high of a rank this crazy man was and I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain the U.S. Army ranking system to me! THANKS, ADVICENATORS! :D

He was in charge of his section. You have the trainers, trainees wo help the trainers, the major who is in charge of one section of people, and then you have the lieutenant who is in chrage of all sections. You have a major for each section. He was pretty high and I was also shocked that our men are shooting our men. It makes you wonder what really goes in their heads.

last night i was in my room after school and I started to masterbate. I don't masturbate too often so I guess I didn't think about locking my door. Well, my mom walked in on me! She left pretty quickly but I don't want to just leave it at that. At dinner she was pretty quiet and didn't seem too happy. I know I should say something to her, right? What do I say? Or do I just let this blow over?

It definitely does make things awkward. Mothers know that it is perfectly natural and I think it was the shock that got to her. Talking to her about it might make things a bit more awkward. If you take her mind off of it by talking about something else, it will all blow over. It may surprise you but it is normal for the mother to walk in at least once. If you accomplish something that would make her proud like making the deens list, trying out a new talent like music or poetry, she will focus on that more than the incident. If you just sit in silence, it will also make things also more complicated. If you find something to talk about, it takes the pressure off and avoids talking about the situation.

ok so im in college and i was talking to this one guy and we really hit it off and his friend liked me but the guy that i was orignally talking too does him alot so i said whatever and i really started to like his friend and well we talk and all but sometimes he acts like he likes and than doesnt he told me he liked me before than when i was trying to talk to him he tells me he doesnt like anybody but that same day he invited me to hang out and he made a move im so cinfused what do i do drop him or do waht hes doing i dnt want him to think its a booty call

The first thing to know about boys is they think they are clever but they are not. You don't necessarily have to drop him but make sure you let him know that you are in control. Guys like girls who play hard to get. The reasoning behind all of the madness is guys like girls they can't get. He wanted you when his friend wanted you so it would seem you were unattainable. When you started to like him, he withdrew because he had you. when you backed off, he knew that he would lose you so he pursued you again. Guys are kind of like a puzzle, you have to look at all the pieces before you can put the puzzle together. just remember when you go to meet him, you stay in control and make him want you, not the other way around.

Writers block is the worst and take it from someone who is a professional one. Once I start a story I am fine, its starting it thats the problem. The best way to write about any news is to pick up a random newspaper and read articles then give a review of the article or a reaction. You can also try and go to google.com and type in latest news articles. This is will pull up any stories from the news in case you dont have a newspaper on hand. It interesting to do research on how the holidays got their names or background information on them.

so me and my girlfriend have been fighting for the past few days and she says i need to decide if im ready to settle down and this is what i want because she dont think its what i want. we moved intoour relationship a little fast but at times i do wish i could spend more time with my family she thinks i need to stay with her all the time and gets upset if i leave there early to be with family. at times i do miss being single so i can hang out with family whenever and my mom because I am really close to her but at times i kno i would be so miserable because i do want to be with you and we were planning to move out in 8 months what swhould i do?

To tell the truth, someone who makes you choose bwteen your family and them is not someone you shoudl be with. and someone who is willing to commit to settling down would not be thinking about being single. You may be miserable at first but all pains eventually heal and you will find someone else who is worthwhile. It seems like she is the one who is not ready to settle down.

Does anyone know anything about credit scores and marriage, or a website with that information?
I'm 20 and since I turned 18 I got a car loan and a crdit card, never been late on a payment and will pay my car off early. My fiance on the other hand has a mortgage that he never pays on time, has gotten his cable shut off for late payments and so on. So needless to say I have good credit he has bad. After the market goes back up I would like for us to buy a house of our own, but I don't know how difficult that will be if our credit scores are combined or whatever they do.

You would still be able to acquire a house. What they will do is check his history and see that it is bad and ask him to find a good crdit co-signer. This is where you will come. This will help bring his credit score up and yours as well. If they decide to do it jointly they will put whoever has the better credit in charge and th other person would be a side person.
