you are able to buy a test under the age of 18 but if you are not pregnant I would suggest a form of birth control. I know its not what every teen wants to hear but trust me I was a young mom. Pregnancy tests are even available at dollar stores. Though I would purchase two differing brands to see if you get same answers. If it's too close to time you had sex, it may not show yet on a pregnancy test and you may have to wait a week to retake it.

I am not familiar with the laws in New Jersey though rule of thumb is. If something is available for purchase without having to ask a clerk or pharmacists for it. Meaning it is on an open shelf. There is no age requirement to purchase.
I would suggest if you do not wish your parents to find out you purchased a home test kit. That you find a store where mom and dad do not shop and people they know do not work at.

Where i am from, i can get pregnancy tests at any age. You just go to a pharmacy or something and you buy them there. You dont need your parents consent
