And for awhile, I've actually feel like i could have alot of fun doing a blog. But i don't even know where to start. Anyone who has a blog or just any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

1. Select a niche
It's not easy to blog around many niches. Otherwise, you will loose focus.
Blogging around multiple niches was the most annoying mistake I ever made blogging. I rebranded the blog later and got a focus around personal development and neuroscience: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Hi!
Okay so I run a blog and I thought I'd give you some numbered tips below. I'm a journalism student so know my way round the blogsphere!
1) Blog about something different. As you may know blogging is very popular these days. Alot of people blog about their life-like a kind of diary. This is all well and good but won't get you more readers beyond people who know you-family and friends. Blog about something you're passionate about-like a hobby or a talent you have. If you write about something no one else is writing about you'll be sure to get hits
2) Try sites like Blogger and Wordpress when starting out. They're very easy to use and theres help from online communities for those sites online too!
3) Link up with social media. Especially twitter. So what I do is write a blog about news topics. Then whenever the news topic comes up I use a #hashtag to get more traffic to my blog and new readers!
4) Don't let it become a chore. Often advice is given like 'blog a little bit and often'. I disagree-only blog if you actually have something to say! Otherwise it will feel like a chore and this will come across in your writing. If that means not blogging for a few days/weeks does that matter? No! Because its meant to be an enjoyable hobby not a source of employment!
5) Be YOU. Let your personality shine through in your writing. Including an about me page on your blog is always good, but don't give away too much personal info obviously. Similar to the last point, but only write about topics you actually have opinions on/care about. Your enthusiasm will show through your writing
6) Don't forget to make your blog interactive. No ones likes reading long bits of text! So include video clips/sound clips in each blog post (on wordpress this is simple) and then on twitter put
WATCH: How to make nutella pancakes (or whatever) and the WATCH in capitals will get you more hits!
7) Have fun! Blogging is great whether you're in it for the stats or for the passion of writing. Be as creative as you like and inbox me with the link to your blog if you want! ]
