Hi...I am a 15 year old brown -skinned girl. I have serious skin problems. Large pimples, tiny ones and blackheads since i was 9. I tried many skin products recommended by my mother's doctor but nothing works. The pimples are causing my pores to enlargen and it is really fustrating . I cry everyday and do not socialize at all or rarely do. Snacks, chocolate and many other food products have been cut out of my diet to improve my appearance but it is still horrible. I think the chemicals from my skin products worsen my skin so i have tried only home made remedies. Please!!!!Anyone!!!!Help!!!
Ocalaphernella answered Monday May 25 2015, 9:07 pm: I used to have really bad skin, and so did my brother, but then my doctor recommended getting something with Benzoyl peroxide in it. So we got Clean & Clear's continuous control acne cleanser, and their Persa-gel acne medication. I highly suggest these items. It has highly improved both of our skin. What you do is you wash your face twice a day (one in the morning, one at night) with the cleanser, and then after the one at night, put on the cream medication on the acne parts. (It doesn't need a lot, but you need to get it directly on it) When you wash your face, use a soft wash cloth with warm water to get the cleanser off. Also, tanning (naturally or at a tanning bed) can help acne. That helped my other brother. The less sugar you eat (and carbs can turn into sugar) the more it'll help your skin. I have also noticed recently, TOUCH YOUR SKIN WITH YOUR HANDS/FINGERS AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE. when you do that, you are practically inviting acne on to your face.
Hope this helps~ [ Ocalaphernella's advice column | Ask Ocalaphernella A Question ]
