Since the separator was likely to help in positioning the teeth for braces, it is important but only 5 days wearing before getting braces? Well thats a short time to begin with so one day may make a big change. If you had to wear these things for 3 weeks and it fell out a day early, i'd say most the work was already done and one day wouldn't make a difference. So call and see what they want to do. They may either still go ahead with giving you your braces or changing your appointment to put separator in for a couple more days before doing braces.
