KIK. Can someone track you down

Question Posted Saturday July 5 2014, 8:31 am

I created an account on kik and i put my actual picture. I put a fake name and surname and email.
I am talking to this guy, and i dont want to talk to him anymore. I sent him two of my real pictures. I gave him my fake name and age and a fake city and state in the USA. I am not even from the USA

Could he ever somehow track me down. Again,he has two images of me.
I inserted those two images on google image to see
if there was something about me and nothing came up.
Can he track me though?

ya it is possible especially if you have used pictures in other sites where you put your real name. image search like tineye.com and others can easily link that picture to many sites where your real information might be. so be careful next time

DONT EVER DO THAT AGAIN!
It can put not only you in danger, but, other people too. If you haven't met him in real life, and only talked to him on Kik, that's dangerous. That boy can not maybe tract you down, but search up the address, and stock those people who live there. You put a lot of people lives in danger. The best thing to do, is to talk to your parents about it. Even, if they are super mad at you, they will help you get over the problem. Another thing, is to never give your rewal pictures to somebody you don't know. Even if he's a cute, hot guy, don't do it. If you want to succeed your life, try not to damage it in social life. Make sure to use social medias with a good responsibility. Don't use it like its a toy. Its your responsibility to keep your personal information to yourself. Not to a guy that you don't know. I hope it works!

It's unlikely.
But seriously, don't do things like this. Never do this again.

I can't say "No. It's impossible." because I can't know that for sure. There is a lot of information out there, and only a very small amount of it is indexed by Google. I have no idea what this person's skills are, what they have access too, or how badly they might want to find you. It IS possible. It's unlikely. It's not worth loosing sleep over, but it's still within the realm of the possible.

Don't reach out to complete strangers online. Don't assume 'anonymous' really means 'anonymous'. It nearly never does. Keep your safest - not by lying - but by avoiding these situations in the first place.
