Texting dilemma... Advice please?

Question Posted Thursday March 13 2014, 3:26 pm

A guy in one of my classes (who I don't talk to) messaged me and said "Hey what's your number because someone texted me saying it was you and they were saying some weird stuff". I asked for the number but he said he forgot. Well I'm kind of freaked out now. I don't know his number and that isn't me, and I don't know what to do. He said the last time they texted was like a week ago and he promised that it actually happened. I just don't know what to do and I'm scared. What do I do? I don't want to confront anyone because I am just so scared right now.

Absolutely take Zane's advice. No need to feed into it. You didn't do it, and you said that, so leave it at that. You don't need to give out your number to prove it. If it comes up again from someone else, once again say that it wasn't you, and if necessary, take the issue to guidance counselors if you are being bullied.

Tell him it wasn't you. If you don't talk to him then you are not obligated to give your number out.

Sounds to me like someone is trying to start drama. Just ignore it, It's not you to begin with then there is nothing to worry about just shrug it off.
