why is Spongebob Sqaurepants still on Nickelodeon

Spongebob Squarepants first aired on nick in 1999 thats when i could really get into him the stuff he did and the jokes really made me laugh but he has not taken off nick at all through the years nickelodeon has him on there and i really dont know if i should like him or dislike him anyway i just cant really get into Spongebob anymore and i really miss the much better nicktoons like Rugrats CatDog Hey Arnold the Angry Beavers the Wild Thornberrys and Ahh Real Monsters why did Nickelodeon through those great shows out and keep Spongebob

Keep in mind that as you grow older, more young children come into the world. While you see the cartoons as old and boring, these kids haven't had the chance to watch them yet.

I can't say why the Nickelodeon executives decided to keep one over the other,though.
