Is Libido Max good to use for a young 21 year old male?

Question Posted Saturday November 30 2013, 3:04 pm

Well right now I am fairly new and inexperienced with sex. But I have this situation where I go limp whenever I apply a condom. This has happened twice with the girl i'm with and it has been frustrating and embarassing for me. I have been practicing on how to put the condom on with ease and less focus from the sensation but I still can not keep the erection with it on. It's able to get right back up once I'm stimulated again, but when the condom comes i lose the moment. So I was wondering if using Libido max is safe and will help me with my situation?

I'm confused; in your opening line it says "young 21 year old male," but your profile says you are 14? Are you 21 or 14?

My advice to anyone on this type of product is that they are a waste of money and don't work. If you are 14 then you are still in the throws of puberty and taking something like this will most likely do you more harm then good.

If you are 14 you should not be having sexual intercourse in the first place. The loss of your erection could very well have more to do with psychosomatic guilt then the condom.

Regardless of why; erectile dysfunction is an embarrassing problem for all males regardless of age. Over the counter products will not correct this problem. To correct this problem you need to seek the help of a urologist or one of the clinics that advertise in the specialty of erectile dysfunction.

If your between 14 and 18 your saying, how do I tell mom or dad I need to see a doctor because I can't maintain an erection? You don't have to tell your parents if your under 18. As long as your over 14 there is a law called HIPPA that covers this type of problem.

Within the Federal HIPPA law there is a section covering young people age 14 and older for the health and well being of their reproductive system. When it comes to their reproductive system the are granted total medical confidentiality. Meaning they do not need parental permission to seek medical advice or treatment for anything related to their reproductive system. Erectile dysfunction would fall under this category.

You start by going to your family doctor, you do not need parental permission. Tell the doctor you invoke your rights under HIPPA for this visit. You are still covered under your parents medical insurance. Your doctor is not allowed to tell your parents why you are there, what you are being treated for or anything else about this visit without your written consent. To do so without your consent could put the doctor or any one in the doctors employ in jail for up to 5 years.

Then you do as the doctor tells you. If that means you are referred to another doctor make an appointment to see the other doctor. All you need is your health insurance card, which as a teenager you should be carrying on you at all time now in any case.

If you are 21 follow the same instructions on seeing your family doctor first. You are still covered under HIPPA as that is the law of the land know for all adult patients. As far as anyone seeing your medical records, your parents lost that ability when you turned 18. Under the affordable Care act (Obama Care) you could still be covered under your parents insurance. This does not give them the right to see your medical records or make medical decisions, or speak to your doctors to get medical information about you without your written permission to the doctor

Probably not.
I mean - it's probably safe - it probably doesn't 'do' anything at all.

Most sex 'supplements' rely on the placebo effect - they seem effective only because they people taking them really, really believe them to be.

Libido max is a "Male Enhancement Supplement" and pretty much anything that call's itself 'male enhancement' is a crock of shit. Sildenafil (which is the active ingredient in Viagra) cannot be sold as a 'supplement' in the states, so the thing that has been scientifically proven to work, isn't in that supplement.

Besides that, your 'libido' is not your problem. You desire for sex is there. When doctors talk about libido the mostly mean the basic desire to have sex, and the ability to get aroused at all. Remaining hard is a rather separate physiological issue, not an issue of lack of desire.

The most common advice given to men who struggle maintain an erection when the condom is introduced, is to masturbate with one on. A lot of sexual response is habit and expectation. If you bring condoms into your masturbation habit, you can help to alter your expectations of using one.

You might also try having your partner put it on, or have her continue to offer some sort of stimulation while you are putting it on... and of course there is always the options of exploring different types or brands condoms.

So, I'm just a girl, maybe the gentlemen here can give you some better advice, but I've also got to throw out there that this isn't really that much of a problem from my perspective. Certainly nothing to be embarrassed about! Especially if you are relatively new to using condoms. It might even be a problem that fades as you gain experience, although even if doesn't, it's a far, far cry from the end of the world. You'll find fun and inventive ways to manage.
