trigestrel appears to be a female contraceptive. I don't think this is something a male should be taking. Neither do I think you will get a doctor to prescribe it for you which is the only way to gain wait.

There are better ways to gain weight. See your family doctor who can best help you gain weight properly.

A bith control pill for men that makes you gain weight? Sounds like it fools around with your hormones - effectively castrating you so you put on fat like a eunuch.

I wouldn't do it, dude. I really wouldn't.

If you want to gain weight, I don't think that birth control pills would be the best option.

Weight gain CAN be a side effect, but isn't always. Also, birth control pills have estrogen in them, which can cause some side effects you weren't looking for.

You should increase your protein and calories for the day to where you're gaining weight instead of maintaining or losing. Maybe do some muscle building exercises. If you need to gain a lot of weight, then talk to a doctor about it and see what he/she recommends.

But yea, I wouldn't jump straight to birth control pills just because some people experience weight gain. Everyone reacts differently to them and, as a male, I expect you would react much much differently.
