@lightoftruth and @adviceman49 , you both clearly have not worked at a Red Robin restaurant before as you are both completely wrong.
I have been working at Red Robin for nearly a year now, and I was hired when I was 14 (March 20th). However I did not start until i after March 22nd, my 15th birthday.
I believe you must be 15. Possibly 14, that I am not too sure.
You can be a hostess, busser, red (be in the the bird mascot costume), or dish/line cook (cold or hot side).
Soon after you could be promoted to an expo, clc (certified learning coach).
After the age of 19, or whenever it is legal to handle alcohol in your province/state, you can be promoted to a server or shift leader.
There are plently of possibilities!

You could probably call them. Most places you need to be 16, but since you want to be a hostess, and serve alcohol, you'll have to be older.
So I think it would vary between 18-21 to be a hostess and 16 you could work there doing something else.

To start off with you need to be at least 16 to get working papers from your school. You will need these before any employer will consider you for a job as these papers tell the employer what jobs and hours your state allows you to work.

Since Red Robin serves alcohol you probably have to 18 to be a sever. This is probably mandated by the state alcoholic beverage commission more than by the state juvenile working laws.

If you are over 16 the best thing to do is to call Red Robin and ask what their hiring practice is in regard to age and positions available.
