Friend's party.

Question Posted Monday June 24 2013, 12:15 pm

One of my best friend's having her 13th birthday next month. She's going to have a few friends (probably around 8 girls) around for a sleepover. Last year she did the same thing, and though it was fun, it was quite dull, and plain. So i just wanted a few ideas to liven it up, seeing as it's her 13th. Something we'll remember for ever. Something exiting and impulsive, Perhaps at her local park? Anyway, thanks.

BTW we can't go anywhere far away. Though we can go to the park.

:)

I'd say make sure that you always have something to do. Like there is always something available to do so that you all are just sitting around.
When one of my friends turned 14 one year, she had a garage dance party. So you could play some music and just dance. Have lots of soda and snacks. She also had a air hockey table and a lot of people loved that. Anything like that. I'd also say have board games out when people get tired of dancing and they can relax.

Another one of my friends had a scavenger hunt at their party. I thought that was pretty cool. You can be pretty creative. You don't have to go door to door, you can have people take pictures of them doing a certain thing or find certain things around the neighborhood.

If she has a pool, you can do a pool party and if she doesn't, you can use water balloons.

I also really liked the idea of them bringing money and going to the mall.

Maybe even at night you could have like a "camp" type thing. Have a bon fire and eat smores, tell secrets, ghost stories, ect.

I was never into this, but maybe you and your friends might like fashion show type thing. Like dress up and walk down a runway.

Then there is the classic sleepover party. Staying up late, music, movies, lots of food, makeovers, ect.

If you have karaoke or a dancing game or something, that can be a lot of fun.

Or maybe a twist to have people dress up. Maybe like a formal black and white back in the day type of dresses or a masquerade type thing. It's always fun to dress up.

Anyways, I hope some of these ideas helped. I love parties, I hope your friend has a great birthday!

I remember the 13th birthday with all my daughters. It seemed the popular thing was to have friends give money instead of gifts. and I and another mom dropped em off at the mall so they could help her go pick out clothes or makeup or whatever to spend her money on and of course take pics of trying things on. Then back to the house for pizza dinner and sleepover. Only cost to mom is her time and gas to mall and back and the pizza
