No it doesn't mean that your period is coming soon. Masturbation and periods are two different things and they are not related to each other.

Masturbating is stimulating your self sexually and it's completely normal - there is nothing wrong in doing it. Masturbation isn't related to periods, it's your body that will decide when you will start your period. Masturbating isn't a sign that your period is coming it's just something you do to pleasure yourself.

Here are some signs that your period is coming: (Note: some girls do have signs, some have a few or no signs at all that their period is coming)

~Cramps (usually in your lower abdomen) but you can also get pain in your lower back.

~Spotting - little spots of blood in your underwear which can be red or brown.

~Discharge - you may get brown discharge before you start your period or pinkish looking discharge (normal white discharge mixed with a little bit of blood).

~PMS symptoms - sore/tender breasts, mood swings (feeling angry, irritable, depressed, emotional - crying and tearfulness), abdominal bloating, appetite changes or food cravings, lack of energy, nausea, abdominal cramps, backache, dizziness, change in bowel movements and weight gain.

periods can start at anytime between the ages of about 10 and 16 but some girls might start earlier or later - like at 17 or 18 (everyone is different). The average age is 12/13 years old. No one can tell you exactly when your period will start because everyone is different and develop at different rates. Your period will come when your body is ready.

You're ten? The rules say you're not supposed to be on this site!

You broke the rules,so why should we help you?
Also, if you have to be over 10 what does that tell you? It tells you you're too young to even think about this yet!

Signs your period is coming are:
Pubic hair growth
Hips get wider
Thighs may get larger
Generally look more curvy
Breasts begin to grow
You may get sweaty a lot easier.

No not really. Masturbation and puberty are not related.

Masturbation is a natural instinct that we all have when we are born. Infants have been known to and do in a way masturbate when they rock themselves, doctors have found. Why, because it feels good. Children generally stop when they come out of diapers as it is the bulk of the diaper that helps them masturbate according to some studies.

According to another study most of us do masturbate and start to when we become sexually aware of ourselves. This does not and is not always related to puberty. Know of course after saying this it is always possible that your first period will arrive tomorrow. Most likely sometime between now and age 12 is when your first period will arrive.

I hope this helps.

No.

Some toddlers masturbate. Masturbation is a a normal, human act, that is not directly linked to sexual maturity.

Your period will come when it comes. Your interest in mastication doesn't necessarily mean its coming soon.
