I would like to get my daughter's poetry published. How do you get poetry published?

My daughter has been writing poems for several years, and I think she is good. I dont have much money, but I would like for her poems to be published. How do I do that?
If she is in high school she should try her school news paper or local news paper. Some literary journals also publish high school students, such as Hanging Loose and Torrid. You could go to either of their websites and read on how to submit - place like this are usually free or cost a dollar or two.
If your daughter is older she could try going to Poets & Writers and searching their database for literary journals. These places also usually don't charge, but they don't pay either.
If you just want a book of your daughter's poety, you could self publish them through companies like Blurb. They will cost money, but not much if you order just a few and they look very professional.
As a side note, if your daughter is interested in having her work published that is great and if she needs your help, that's very kind of you to assist. But this should be her goal and her work, not yours. [ okay123's advice column | Ask okay123 A Question ]
