School dress down day...

Question Posted Wednesday May 1 2013, 10:33 pm

I go to a uniform school an on friday we are supposed to have a dress down day, which means we don't have to wear uniforms. We can pretty much wear anything but like spaghetti straps and really short shorts or skirts. I have a really complicated wardrobe though. It's not in style it's kinda like clothes a 8 or 9 year old would wear (mayb 10 or 9). I want to look good but I don't hav a lot of money to spend. Actually I would like to spend as less money as possible. I have this black frilly skirt and I have so many types of jeans capris, shorts, and pants. Shirts are kinda hard like I have some plain shirts and most of my shirts have some sort of design on it. I really want to look cute because... I don't know I just like to look good lol! Please help if you can! Thanks!

Well like everyone else said, thrift stores work. There are always some cute clothes there.
If not, go check out clearance racks and regular stores and clothes on sale.
But if you have skinny jeans, you could wear a plain shirt with a vest or something of the sort.
Or that frilly skirt with a cute plain shirt and something over that.
I wish I could see what you have to help you. But I'm sure once you go looking around you'll find some really cute clothes.

I am echoing the thrift store solution. You may not find what you like the first time around so go there regularly. There's always new stock rotating through. The more such stores you visit, the better your chances. Its a fun way to spend time with a girlfriend, trying on stuff and make sure to wear the frilly skirt when you go so you can see what the tops you try look like with it.

All my three daughters got 3/4 of their wardrobe from 2nd hand stores and it was to their liking, in style and they never got teased about it. In fact, I once knowing nothing about designer clothes purchased a top I liked and all of a sudden women all around were spouting the name of the designer of my top. One woman even offered to buy it from me.

If you want to spend as less money as possible why don't you check out some thrift stores or yard sales sometimes you can find name brand clothes at thrift stores and yard sales at reasonable prices. If you have a black frilly skirt why don't you wear it with a black T?
