Just spend few days reading on net about different professions based on your choice of subject. You definitely have to choose the subject first, do you want to study science, computers, biology, arts, history, Maths etc. interests in these subjects become clear in school itself.
You have not mentioned your age. Hobbies like photography, painting, singing, dancing, sports if pursued seriously can become highly paid career options. For these you must understand weather you are good at motor, visual or audio skills.
Also stop thinking too much and do proper research to take action. All the best!

We all struggle with this concept. And even though my mind knows better, I still find myself making comparisons betwween one thing and another, or myself and another person.
There is no good, There is no bad. Just perspective and opinion or personal taste.
Lets use cheese for an example. Feta cheese, I can't eat it because to me it tastes "Bad". It doesn't mean the cheese is bad, it's just not to my liking. And my husband absolutely loves it. My mom used to eat Brie cheese, a runny cheese that stank so bad I couldn't get past the smell to ever eat it. Does how it smells make it bad? Many people love to eat it. It's all about personal taste.
So what about math? How can personal taste come in there? It doesn't so I have to give another example here. Math was not my strong subject. My mind worked in a different way so I was better at language arts and writing because my mind was naturally geared that way. It did not mean I was bad or good at math, I just needed to be taught different ways to arrive at the same answers. So learned enough that I use math naturally in my life, measuring a room and furniture to redecorate on graph paper first before moving the heavy pieces in real life. Things like that. But math did not hold my interest like singing, art and writing. So don't waste your time in life trying to get "good" at something. You have to get to a place that you are satisfied with your skill level. I am satisfied with my skill level in math. How about art? I always doubted my abilities in art, was I good enough? Remember, its not about good or bad, everyone has different tastes in art so there will always be someone who likes what I do. Somewhere in my late 30's I attended an open house art show where you drive from one artists in home studio to the next following a map of the event. All day long. I found some was paint splashed on canvas and I thought, that's not art, heck a kindergartner can do that. The price tags might be $850. and I'd snicker...who'll pay that much for that. But then I'd hear someone else talking to their friend. Isnt that absolutely lovely. and the reply, Yes, it would go well with the color scheme in your living room. I saw many different styles of art that day. Some I found would be easy for me to duplicate or do better at. But in my heart, did I have a desire to do that style of art. No. I had my own style and have found that enough people have a liking for my personal style. Same goes for your looks as a female and personality. Can't use young boys for an example as a large amount of them, (not all) want sex with any female as long as she's alive and breathing. But once a male matures, he begins to discover he own personal likes and may desire brunette over blonde. That doesnt make blonde bad, it's his personal taste. You simply need to be happy with your style and level of skill. If you are happy with it, others will notice and be drawn to that in you [ Dragonflymagic's advice column | Ask Dragonflymagic A Question ]
soph0900 answered Thursday May 2 2013, 2:51 pm: Self confidence is a difficult thing. Have too much and you look arrogant and cocky, but too little and you wont achieve much.
Just look around when youre doing something- sports, art, whatever it may be and be REALLY honest in your head. Is that persons artwork really better than yours? Or would you say they need to touch up that little section? If you feel that your project, or whatever it is, might acctually be slightly better than theirs, >say nothing to them< look around again at someone elses. Admit to yourself who isnt doing it right, and who is. Be honest- There will always be someone better than you, but then, you will always be better than them at something else.
And finally.... believe in yourself! You know you can do it! I know that sounds cliche but if you dont believe you can do it, then how do you expect to do it at all? [ soph0900's advice column | Ask soph0900 A Question ]
